First, this tattoo was a work of love and Mary did an outstanding job of capturing what I wanted, but she went above and beyond. This was a recreation of my mother's handwriting. Mary took samples of her writing and created a beautiful handwritten message from my mom that I will carry with me for the rest of my life with pride. She didn't stop there, she took the whole concept and turned it into a bracelet of finely woven vines and leaves. I can't say enough how amazing this tattoo is and Mary is the one to see if you want fine detail and art that will live on with you. During the drawing phase, she will edit and adjust the image until you're total happy. During tattooing she is good about letting you take breaks or pain relief. Went in for a walk in tattoo needing a touch up as there were a few mistakes I wanted refined ..naturally reached out and offered to pay for said touch up. The artist comes back and says yeah let's get you scheduled for your next tattoo and then we will touch up in the mean time. I don't want another tattoo, I wanted a complete one. I reached out to the shop asking if anyone can touch up because I'm not going in for another tattoo just for him to screw that one up and elicit a cycle. Has the shop reached back out? NOPE! Customer service is on the bottom of the list which let's be honest it's a tattoo shop with an old school mentatily as most clients are one time. However were in a new world in 2025 and to be ghosted yet be rated as a good tattoo shop? Very misleading and plan false as this is not the best and or a good shop. There are so many amazing shops in reno DO GO TO EVOLUTION TATTOO. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE WALKING IN. I truly wish I did more research rather than skimming and trusting huge lessom learned. I have been coming and getting piercings from Kayla since she was an apprentice, and her work never disappoints. I visited the shop yesterday, and she helped me change out some jewelry, re-pierce my nipples for the millionth time, and put jewelry back into my eyebrow piercing, which I thought had closed. The shop is always clean, and the vibe is always welcoming and friendly! Kayla has done all of the piercings pictured, as well as re-pierced my nipples a few times since I have a problem with taking the jewelry out, lol. For the two ear piercings she gave me, I had no idea what I wanted, and she suggested those and picked out the cutest jewelry for both piercings. The many reviews that I read said that the vibe was super chill. So I went. The Yelp reviews were correct. Everyone that I spoke with was laid back and personable. I can't say that my tattoo experience or satisfaction would be the same from any one of the other artists because there's no way of knowing this. But I can say this, I am extremely satisfied with Danny's work. Like the others he is super chill. His work and vision is spot on. I got a very specific tattoo and provided the artwork. My wife needed direction and Danny not only provided that, he delivered by giving her a tattoo that matched her personality. I got my nose pierced here and had a great experience! Walking in, the front desk guy was super nice and welcoming. I filled out the paperwork and didn't have to wait that long. There was a party of women all getting nose piercings in front of me but despite this the wait wasn't long at all. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY nervous and almost wanted to leave but I'm glad I stayed. My piercer had years of experience piercing and kept assuring me that everything was going to be ok. The longest part of the procedure was the piercing artist cleaning my nose area and marking where to insert the needle. The piercing itself was relatively quick and painless. Adam put back in my piercing after all my 8 X-rays and 4 MRI's tests were completed. I called he got me in that day. He was friendly and helpful. Reasonable priced. The place is clean. And safe. The people were all professional and very accommodating. Especially after the ones at his other place promised to put them back in and did not. Even after they told me to come up again. I did even buying jewelry from them too. They still like misled me about their intentions and then refused service. I will not ever go back there again. Or will I refer anyone else.
