Today is my daughter's 17th birthday and she wanted a tattoo to remember her daddy. He passed away on 12/18/18 unexpectedly. I called to make an appointment with Erza who was professional and knowledgeable. Jared was the artist and he was amazing! He took her ideas and put pen to paper. The tattoo reads, Rest in Love Dad. Jared was a master and it took 15 minutes once he started! Jared and the Absolute staff were fun, respectful, and professional! The studio was clean and friendly. Thank you Jared for making her experience one to remember and beautiful! A go to from now on! read more

This is my second visit to Reno and have stopped both times at Absolute Tattoo to get work on my arm. The environment was clean and friendly. They were able to get us in the next day for an appt. Nico did a wonderful job on my rose and quote, worked to blend it in with the style of my previous peony done by Dan. Nico took his time, asked for feedback, and was patient when I wasn't sure about where to put my quote. He was a pleasure to work with, and his artistry skills are fabulous. This tattoo also didn't hurt as much as previous tats I've had... he was gentle and a great guy! Best wishes to Nico, his wife and new son! Thanks so much love my new tattoo! read more

I had the most positive experience with Nico! I came from out of town, I spoke to him prior and emailed him some pics of what I wanted. He drew beautiful pine needles on my foot to go with a pinecone from five years ago, and he worked patiently and carefully for three hours. Incredible detail. Beautiful work. Truly a kind human and I can't wait to go back and get more work done! read more

Nicolo, you are THE BEST! I was having a rough day, got pulled over, gotten a speeding ticket, so last minute decided on getting a tattoo, I called and they told me to come right on in! I grew up in SoCal, so I'm use to big shops, this one is small, but has such a homey feeling, and I feel like everyone that works there is super close and tight knit. Everyone is super friendly, and will walk by and always check out what you're getting done and just talk to you, the vibes are super great. Anyways, I had a previous tattoo that I never got colored in, and never got touched up, Nicolo took his time redoing some of the line work and shading, just to make it perfect before the color got added in, I even kept him later than expected and he reassured me it was okay since I'm about an hour and a half away, he wanted to get it done! We talked the entire time, so there was no awkward silence. Anyways, I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone looking at getting a tattoo! read more

Jared has relocated to Absolute, making it the only shop I will visit now. I was so nervous going into a new shop after using the same one for over 20 years. However Absolute is great. The guys up front are friendly when you walk in, and never made me feel out of place (I don't look like a typical tattoo patron). It's clean, decorated fun, and best of all it has Jared. He is by far the best artist in Reno, and the work he has done for me over the last 25 years stands on its own. He remembers things about my kids, and my life, and makes conversation the whole time. He's always made me feel welcome, even when I'm nervous about fitting in. If you want a new tattoo, get an appointment with Jared. read more

Amazing experience at this shop! I will definitely come again. Joe the owner is very good. He took such care and precision with my tattoo. Listened to what I wanted, and gave me his advice on the best execution. One thing I have notice at other shops, is that there is always drama between the artists and/or the shop is very disorganized or unkept. Absolute has neither of those problems! I love how they proudly display their art, but it's not dusty or looks like it's been on the wall for 15 years untouched. Very clean shop! They were reasonably priced in my opinion. (you get what you pay for with tattoos. Period!) so be prepared to pay some $$ because the artistry is WELL WORTH IT! Thanks again to Joe and his crew for having a professional shop. It was a refreshing change. read more

We had a great visit last week. Our appointment was with Jared. We came to Absolute Tattoo from Sacramento to do their "Get what you Get" gumball machine and it was so much fun. Jared is a wonderful artist and a great conversationalist. Both mine and my husband's tattoos turned out fabulous. Jared also stopped every few minutes to make sure I was doing ok. I will be contacting him in the future for more elaborate projects. The shop was very clean and everyone we interacted with was kind. It's a top notch place to get work done. read more

Came in on a Monday with my ma for her coverup; hoped to get myself a tattoo that day, but it didn't work out. Made arraignments to come back that Friday. Nico was fantastic. He was busy at the time I walked in so I went to run an errand and when I came back he had the art all finished and ready to go. Super pleasant first tattoo experience. Nico was awesome to talk with and took his time and care. Can't wait to come back and continue working on my piece. read more

My husband and I were looking for a place to get tattoos together, and I'm extremely glad that Jared was able to help us out the same day! Someone had cancelled their appointment and we became the lucky winners of that time slot. Despite the fact that we were running late, Jared was very nice and patient with designing my husband's tattoo. Although they close at 9pm, Jared stayed behind and gracefully finished the tattoo until about 1030pm. He did an incredible job and is very light handed! This was my 7th tattoo; but my husband's first tattoo, which made the experience a lot easier than expected. If you are looking for a tattoo shop, stop looking and book with Jared! read more

Gotten a few tattoos from this place. First was during a Friday the 13th thing. Walked in, Chris, I think it was, saw my batman sweatshirt and asked if I wanted a batman tattoo. He made a design right there instead of making me choose from the preset designs. Hell yeah! Second time I went back to get my son's name on my arm, got it done by Lukasz. Great line work, made it look awesome in less than an hour. Third and not final was by George. So glad this guy joined the crew at Absolute. He has no problem leaving his comfort zone. Did a half sleeve watercolor style with hummingbirds and trumpet flowers. Dude hand painted the shit first on a canvas! Couldn't believe my eyes! I was so excited I will definitely be keeping Absolute as my go to tattoo shop. I've got plenty of open space to cover lol read more

I will follow Jared Isenberg wherever he goes! Every time I have an idea, he takes it and turns it into something so much cooler than I had imagined. He also is a very fast tattooer who is attentive to the client (checking in to make sure you're ok). Jared generally sticks to American traditional, but I love that he makes my tattoos more feminine with bright colors and flowers. Let him have artistic freedom. You won't be disappointed. Overall, he's just a good human who loves what he does. For the shop- I like the small atmosphere. The teal walls and flash art give it a classic authentic feel. read more

Got my tattoo done here in May, I walked in and asked about the design I wanted. I was greeted immediately as I walked in by the artists even as they were working on someone. The guy at the front desk asked what design I wanted and I showed him. He asked one of the artists and they told me they could get me in within a week! Amazing! I put a 60$ deposit and went home. Then came the tattoo day, my artist, Nicolo, showed me two designs that he made based off what I wanted. They were both amazing and I chose one. Took about 2-3 hours. However, Nico talked to me the entire team so the process was almost painless. The tattoo came out amazing and even after 3 months it healed perfectly. I get compliments on my tattoo many times. Definitely will come back here. Thank you Nico and the Absolute Tattoo team! read more

Dear god please let me one day find a tattoo shop that doesn't reek of weed and have asshole artists. Just walked out because of one disrespectful shit head that doesn't know how to talk to a customer that's willing to drop 125$ per hour. My friend and I came here the other day because we had tried another tattoo shop where they were completely rude. The man we saw (I believe his name was Daniel) was able to take both of us as walk ins and was super friendly the whole time. He helped us both decide how our tattoos would look best and made us feel totally welcome. This shop doesn't have the stand offish vibe that others have and that's why we like it so much! My tattoo was also in a more intimate spot but Daniel made me feel absolutely comfortable the whole time. Never made me feel awkward about it at all! We both love them and will be sure to visit again read more

We contacted Jared on ig before our annual Reno trip last year because my 16-year-old son was ready for his first tattoo. Not only was Jared respectful and accommodating, but he is also an absolutely amazing (see what I did there, haha!) tattoo artist. I had sent him a photo of my husband's tattoo, letting him know that is what my son wants. When we showed up to our appointment, he already had it all drawn out and ready to go. Upon inspection of my husband's tat in person, he noticed a few details and updated the drawing. He is very professional, and we are all booked for our sessions this summer. My husband, my now 17-year-old, my 16-year-old, and I will all be blessed by Jared's artistry and professionalism. 100% recommend. Moreover, he ensured that we knew all the requirements we would need to abide by for our minor sons so that we were not surprised upon arrival. Can't wait to update photos when we get back mid August. read more

I had two tattoos from Mr. Ziegler and they both turned out fantastic. He was really nice and patient with me because I had no idea what I was doing and am a total newbie at this. That tattoo he gave me turned out so pretty so I decided spur of the moment to get another one behind my ear. He was really gentle and made the one behind my ear a lot prettier than I thought it was going to be. I highly recommend these guys. They are very good at what they do. I had three friends with me who worked with two other artists that same day and all of us were very pleased. read more

I cannot begin to describe the incredible experience I had today! I was a walk in client at two in the afternoon with barely any idea of what I wanted...
