Got a tattoo here with a friend and we had no appointment. Would have been fine with a no too busy as I was getting a pretty big tattoo. Went there and City my tattoo artist had good work but I was already feeling nervous with his attitude while he rushed to eat his lunch to do my tattoo. I should have walked away then but was with a friend and wanted to do something fun. I let city know I have especially sensitive skin and he sarcastically responded that all tattoos hurt when that isn't true as this isn't my first one. He was not only rude but while I was on the chair I was the only one who asked for breaks for myself. When I was twitching and trying to hold on he annoyedly asked if I needed to get up. I just wanted my shit done and could hold on the pain. Y'all he didn't even get me any aftercare instructions and was invalidating my pain from the beginning to the end. I let the workers know and city texts me apologizing saying he'd fix it but that doesn't fix an already broken trust between client and artist. Looked cool at the end but because of lack of instructions and more my tattoo ended up burning me and I had to get help from several other tattoo friends and artists. Didn't ask for my money back or for a fix because I don't want my experience to be tied to that. Red has a great vibe and he was my piercer. I wouldn't want to tank his greatness with city's carelessness for me. read more

Got my tongue pierced there by someone named Red and was told when I came back for the new bar for my tongue that it would be no charge . I came back and they said I had to pay. When the guy was changing my piercing he kept picking up the phone to unrelated work things and just kept me waiting . I usually tip but I didn't this time and I could tell he got butt hurt . read more

this review is for the work of ‼ JUAN PEREZ‼ (don't make my mistake, please read on) Hello, I would like to share my experience at Black Widow Ink in Reno, NV. I made contact with the artist Juan Perez in regard to a specific style. He assured me YES, he was proficient in the style and would be able and willing to work with my vision. I sent ample photographs of the area, measurements, and specific details I wanted to include. Along with inspiration for his own interpretation. We set up the appointment about a month in advance after a mutual agreement and having his assurance that he was compatible in skill and style for my desired piece. When I arrived, he was late. () Ok, this is fine, honestly it could happen to anyone. I was the only one in the shop. He arrived without a sketch or drawing. He proceeded to pull out his iPad and log into Pinterest to pull a design to use for me. () NONE of the pictures he chose were my inspiration pictures or even remotely close. When I mentioned I wanted to stick to what we agreed via message, he told me he "didn't like the way it looked", would not do it and proceeded to draw his own thing. () He was very pushy and honestly I felt like a nuisance and a bother simply for stating that I wanted to stick to the plan we had previously BOTH agreed to. () After drawing what appeared to be scribbles in a few different colors of sharpie on me, he asked me if we were good to start. I looked at the design and if I am being honest, it wasn't very easy to follow or distinguish. () I mentioned one more time if we could go closer to the original direction we chatted about via message, and he told me he had "added little details" of my idea into this new, messy sharpie line design (that was STOLEN off of Pinterest moments ago). Now here is where I was already very uncomfortable but I decided it would be best to trust the process. I have never had a tattoo artist NOT use a stencil but I am not a tattoo artist, so I assumed maybe I just didn't know what I was looking at and the end product would turn out acceptable. I trusted his craft and expertise. Once he started the actual tattoo process, ‼ he was watching a futbol game the ENTIRE TIME ‼ ! I was honestly speechless, I let it go on for a few minutes, hoping it was a brief thing and he would focus on my project. But this went on for the entirety of the multiple hour session. At this point I felt so defeated and taken advantage of since I trusted him as an artist. I quietly paid for the project and even tipped him for his time. I ended up with an entire limb that I dislike to look at and have to keep covered up at all times. These guys are awesome stumped upon them to have my daughters industrial pireced. Just walking in I knew it was different . Everyone was warm and welcoming. We didn't want to leave. My daughter had questions after we got home and they spent 20 minutes on the phone with her. I had been looking so a certain place to do a tattoo for a while and knew I needed to have them do it.
