Although the piece is quite simple, a flaming Molotov Cocktail Bottle, the colours on it are not only blended well, they are bright AF...'til this day! My wife has one of them, I pratically see it everyday, and that sum'bitch is still looking good!! So FF to this year's Debauch-Reno, April 2018, I got in contact with Jared regarding some ideas, but I was also interested in a piece I saw him draw up. I gave him the quick intro, Oh you did this and that on so and so. He was like, Hell yeah, good people, say hi, to the bunch. We set out a plan of action and circled the date on the calendar. Even before I set a foot in the shop, I got a great vibe off the vibrantly colored storefront. Shit, I even got a head nod from the tattoo artist working at his station right by the big window. Mind you, I haven't even stepped in the shop yet...awesome, right? I meet Jared, as I walk in! He was rocking out to some great music and it totally set the tone for the visit!! \m/ Woo \m/ We met and soon after started to look over the pieces he did for me. After some wise consulting, we opted for one of the pieces, and additionally, he took back the piece I wanted and added a few more details we talked about while looking it over. TERRIBLE PLACE. My sister and I booked an appointment a week in advance and sent in ideas via email of tiny non-detailed wrist tattoos. We get there at 1:20 for our 1:30 appointment, check in quickly and didn't get seen until 2:20. and I mean we didn't even MEET this stranger artist that was going to tattoo us. Usually they come and ask us for a feel of what we want. I had to awkwardly ask if we were getting seen soon at 2:00 and the douchebag cashier guy was like "yeah. he's setting up, has to draw everything out." OK well some notice of that would've been nice?? Mannered tattoo artists introduce themselves before they draw everything out too!! I only booked here because they had the soonest opening available but NOW I KNOW WHY LOL. Went to Absolute for my second tattoo, because one of the artists was recommended to me by a friend. Luke was my artist, he did a wonderful job - super clean, tight line work (I got a tattoo of a quote on the back of my thigh). My friend got an american-traditional cactus tattoo on her wrist by a different artist in the shop, which also turned out very nice. Both tattoos healed well and it's been about a year and they still look new! Both artists were friendly and very cooperative. I came in last September on a spur-of-the-moment decision. I was in Reno, out of town, and didn't know much about the shops around. I decided on Absolute after some brief research and ended up having a very good experience, for not doing extensive research. I'm an artist myself, so naturally I'm inclined to be picky about what somebody's going to put on my body for the rest of my life. This was my first tattoo and I was pleased. The artist was friendly, the shop was clean and I got exactly what I wanted (my grandmothers birthdate in Roman numerals across my shoulder blade) . My only let-down was that I asked for the shading to be dark violet and the tat healed up to a blackish/tattoo green color. It's still very beautiful with clean line work and such and I am pleased with my experience. For a small, simple tattoo, I would recommend. read more

I recently got a Tattoo from Chris Arredondo and he did an amazing job! I could not be happier with his work. When I went in three weeks ago to schedule an appointment in hopes of getting Joe Zeigler, who is usually packed 3 months out, Chris came to the call. I was a little hesitant but then some logic hit me. Chris and Joe work together so there has to be some reasonable similar level in skill. No doubt in my mind that all Tattooers there are of the same caliber. As for the atmosphere, it is Reno and it is a tattoo shop. don"t forget that. They were cleanse-full in their procedure of tattooing but just like most shops in Reno they are stationed in a old Reno house. Which is cool and nostalgic, which just adds to the whole experience of getting a Tattoo. But the most important part to me about this whole experience is that Chris genuinely seemed to care about his work and would give honest feedback about what he felt would be the best route on color scheme and positioning. He was straight forward with the fact that if I did not want to wait he would just print off something similar and work from there. So I waited and he took ownership of the work and made a part my body an extension of his art. Job well done and I will be back very soon! read more

I got a gorgeous "Prince tribute" tattoo. In the 80's Prince was the s*** (you know what)! Amazing, most talented ever musician. Tragic & unbelievable loss!! I wanted something in remembrance of him. I did the usual Internet tattoo searches then headed to Pinterest to see if something caught my eye. I found what I liked okay, but wanted it fined tuned a bit to make it more what I wanted. I have a great friend, Katie - best hair stylist at Sapphire Salon, and she recommended I see her friend, Joe Zigler, at Absolute Tattoo. She gave me his info and I contacted him a couple weeks ago. Joe was great!!! Super nice guy. I only have one prior tattoo so I'm no expert. I explained to him what I was thinking for my Prince tattoo but I wasn't 100% positive what I wanted. I wanted the Prince symbol to look like the Prince symbol. I have seen some scary Prince tattoo tributes on the internet recently and they didn't look so good. So Joe was great when I explained what I wanted and he drew a few options for me to pick from. On my appointment today I was so happy with Joe's drawings and variations of what I had sent him. Very talented artist!! Im SUPER pleased with my tattoo. Only had it a few hours and I've already received several compliments. He most certainly got the symbol perfect and it is gorgeous. My first tattoo here was in January with George. It was a walk in and he was happy to help and drew up a design and it turned out great. He was super nice the whole time and conversational and I was so happy with the result. My next tattoo was from Jared there. I love the American traditional style and there is no one better than him if you're looking for a true traditional tattoo. He was just as nice as well and I love the final product. Awesome. Great group of artists. Very nice. Sometimes you go into a shop and re workers are rude or too busy to help you out. Not here. I had an idea for a tattoo and it took the guy 20 minutes to get me started. When we talked about the price I totally figured I'd be paying $350-$400. I was wrong it was $250. Totally affordable.
