We are new to the area so we thought we'd try this pretty little local gem. I liked the sleek minimal interior and the promising beverage offerings and baked goods. We dropped in around 2:20 pm this past Thursday. I ordered a 16 oz golden latte with oat milk ($6) and my husband ordered the Guatemalan drip coffee ($3.50) which he said was great. Mine had a good flavor but I wish the temp had been hotter-it was just warm. Maybe it's because we came less than an hour before closing but the vibe up front wasn't your typical warm and friendly local coffee shop. Would have loved to review the gingerbread oatmeal cookies we bought for our fam, but our dog found the box and ate all four of them. :( read more

Got the breakfast burrito, toast and raspberry jam, and a latte. A $19 breakfast to go. Got home. The burrito was still surprisingly hot. But there was no sausage in the burrito. DUH?! What is it these days with restaurants?! You order an item with 3 ingredients and you are lucky if you get it with 2 of them! I called back and - as usual - there is no manager or anyone in charge. So I speak to Lauren. As I was telling her about the burrito, she interrupted me to ask if I wanted a remake or a refund. I asked for an apology and a refund. The latte was fine. But the oil on the toast (it wasn't butter) tasted old and like it was used for something savory (but it couldn't have been for sausage. LOL!) Next time I'll request the sausage on the side I guess. I hate Oklahoma. Update: Psycho! The owner creepily found my number and called me twice out of the blue. (Please don't call me again. Restraining order.) She was extremely angry and made me feel super uncomfortable. She also accused me of complaining about a lack of curbside service which was a lie. She unloaded on me about how expensive sausage is and how it's hard to find good employees these days. Especially the young ones. She was offended that I complained that my breakfast burrito contained no sausage because her husband is the cook. I was stunned that she acted so weird and aggressive. I won't be back. I may further escalate this horrible experience to the entities that regulate businesses and restaurants and protect consumers because no one should be hunted down and attacked because the sausage they ordered was not in the food. read more

The coffee and food are very good, and the staff and the barista have always been friendly. Seating has sometimes been hard to get, but with the place being so successful it makes sense. The vibe is very social, bright and warm, as well as a variety of places to sit. Would for sure recommend a visit. read more

Alright so, a few things. My more accurate review would be a 3.5 star, but let's just start off with a few things. 1) Their coffee. We had an Americano and just the regular drip coffee and I'm not too sure why, but they were both just more acidic than we're used to. We didn't quite mind the price point, albeit it being slightly higher than the average coffee place - but we did hope their coffee wouldn't be as acidic as it was that day. 2) Food. Pretty good selections, actually! Price point wasn't too bad either for a place like that, but it wasn't anything much to shout about. We had the breakfast burrito, and it tasted pretty much standard. 3) Ambience was very nice though! Good place to study, music selection wasn't too bad either. Staff was pleasant and courteous too. I really enjoyed my time at Evoke. Atmosphere: Quiet, which was pleasantly surprising since it was a Sunday morning. They have wi-fi, bless. Seating and decor was minimalistic and comfortable. It's located near a college, so a lot of students working off their laptops. They serve their coffee in notNeutral cups if you get it for here, and that's just the bee's knees. It's glassware that can hold a hot cup of coffee - pretty aesthetic and functional. Coffee: Beans from Middle State Coffee in Colorado. Espresso is a blend of Ethiopia and Colombia. I was thrown off with the long pull shots, since that's not what I'm used to. Regardless, fruity notes came through the espresso and then nice dark chocolate notes to finish. Texture was quite silky, too, for a long shot. I ordered two cappuccinos for me and my fiancé. He liked his, but when he drank mine, we both felt like the espresso taste was light and lost in the milk. So I ordered a cortado, which had less milk and was steamed to the same consistency as the espresso so it could mix better. That was a lot better, and I could really taste more sweetness without the milk or shot overwhelming one another. Grab & Go Food: They have a full breakfast/brunch menu that I didn't get a chance to order from. Didn't realize it, but next time. We shared a cinnamon roll. It was okay because it kind of tasted under baked. The texture of the roll just felt and tasted play do - like. Idk if the dough didn't have enough time to rise or if it was under baked. We still cleaned it off our plates. They also take the time to warm it up, which is quite nice. Service: Elegant set up of an open bar. Again, didn't realize they sold alcohol too. Coffee X Wine is a great pairing. Baristas were friendly and open to conversation. They were also quite knowledgeable about their coffee. TLDR: Would come again. read more

I have visited twice now, and it's definitely my favorite cafe Edmond! The staff each time were very kind and made me feel comfortable. It hasn't been overly crowded and has a calm atmosphere, which I really appreciate :) I got a cappuccino each time, and one time I also got a blueberry scone. I generally order a Flat White, Cortado, or drip coffee and I always receive perfectly pulled espresso, very well textured milk, and fantastic presentation. My sister and I went to Evoke this morning, a spot we frequent. In fact, we took 3 out of town guests there yesterday morning as well. We ordered two avocado toasts and two coffees and planned to order more. My daughters 4 and 7 were with us, so we decided to pick them up a donut on the way, so we could enjoy our favorite spot peacefully. The menu at evoke, is great but designed more for an adults' tastes. We had just received our coffees when the manager came up to us and told us that we're not allowed to have outside food. We asked him if he would like for us to leave and he said yes. We said, should we just get a refund for our food and he said yes, the lady at the counter could help us with the refund. He informed us that "we didn't have to break the rules" , which were apparently posted in fine print of the front door. I've been here dozens of times and had never noticed and clearly didn't set out to be a rule breaker today. We never dreamed that we would be asked to leave. He made a scene in front of everyone and made us feel like criminals. We were both in shock that such a big deal was being made out of a donut when we had ordered 4 items and would have definitely ordered more. He could have kindly given them a few minutes to finish the donut and asked us not to do so again in the future instead of choosing such an insignificant hill to die on and losing frequent customers. The manager was extremely petty and seemed like something else was going on with him and he chose to take it out on the customers today. I understand that businesses have rules, but there is always a more tactful way of handling them when there is no harm done to anyone. I love popping into Evoke whenever I'm in Edmond and usually take my coffee in to-go cups when I grab coffee. I recently dined in at Evoke and ordered their honey latte with a blueberry scone and I was super impressed that the coffee art maintained its shape throughout my entire cup of coffee (see pics). Impressive! The service is always good, coffee is always delicious, and you can't go wrong with their fresh pastries and a kitchen that actually cooks elevated, sophisticated food on site. This place has a modern vibe, everything is clean, sleek, and contemporary. Personally, this is the kind of place I would take a friend, or loved one, out for coffee. I wouldn't seek out this place to study as it can get kind of loud with all the people talking/music. There are local artists hanging on the walls which I love from a coffee shop. The staff has always been very kind to me, but I wouldn't stop in here if you're in a rush. It's just not that kind of place. Now for the beverage. I have been here multiple times, usually getting a vanilla oatmilk latte. I should've stuck with that today, totally on me. The lavender dirty chai was a little too much for me, the floral taste is a little overpowering. DO NOT let this shy you away from this coffee shop though, I believe they have a unique flavor and I have loved every other experience I've had here. I recommend dialing down the salt used in the gravy. Sometime sugar free syrups in lattes do not taste as good as their sugary counterparts but this one tasted great. Super cute cafe, decided to find a nice coffee shop to do some casual work while sipping on lattes. We got a honey latte and a dirty chai latte. The honey latte is good for its simplicity, not very sweet, can taste the espresso. The dirty chai latte can be really good if you like very sweet drinks, it has good flavor but slightly too sweet for my tastes. Overall, I'd come back again to try their pastries and other coffee drinks because the ambiance is great. read more

This place is super cute!! It's an Edmond classic - I'd heard about it a million times before I went. The staff was being very covid safe and masks were mandatory unless you were drinking (they did have indoor and outdoor seating). I honestly can't believe people are docking them stars for that - restaurants need to follow public safety rules. The drink (pumpkin spice latte) was very good, probably the best I've ever had. Still a stretch to pay $6 for it (milk subs are extra) but maybe worth it. Also tried the chai latte with oat milk, which was also very good (I preferred PSL though) Service was also SUPER friendly, easy to talk to and could definitely tell they cared about food quality. Evoke has an exceptional style. This coffeeshop is located in the heart of Downtown Edmond, a great getaway from the rising bustle we are seeing now in Midtown and Downtown OKC. The design of this place is simple meets modern chic. I'm digging the new abstract art on the big wall across from the coffee bar/kitchen. It really adds to the ambience of the windows that let in sunshine during the day and soft downtown street lights during the night. This place is very picturesque and gives me all the good feels. I have enjoyed coming here to study, and now to work while I sip on a latte. The shop has a food menu as well which I still have not tried, but based off of friends and pictures on Instagram...the waffles look amazing! I have always enjoyed going to Evoke for a high-quality cup of coffee, but now I have another reason to love them. We went in thinking they wouldn't have too many breakfast options besides pastries, but they now have quite an extensive breakfast menu. We got the veggie egg scramble, fruit yogurt parfait, and a breakfast wrap. All of it was beautifully presented and tasted like high-quality ingredients were being used. The chef even came out and checked in on our food. He mentioned that his favorite menu item he recommends everyone try is biscuits and gravy, as he makes the biscuits from scratch daily! My breakfast came out fairly quickly too... I ordered a iced caramel latte and the milk was separating throughout the drink which I thought was putrid!!! The chai didn't offer much flavor unfortunately either. I included a picture of the plating of my waffle because I thought was perfect! The pieces were great & batter was super light and fluffy. The strawberries looked of plastic almost and tasted less than satisfactory. I also wanted to add that I thought it was peculiar to have an employee doing dishes publicly just behind the bar where customers were sitting...this created an odd smell for sure. The food was good. I felt it was a little expensive. My wife had the avocado toast and loved it. I had the omelette which was small with a little fruit. The Americano was good. I would say it's a great place for coffee. It was busy and everyone was pleasant. A little more speed on the food would help too. But, we were not in a rush. Probably go back again. read more
