I had surgery with Dr. Salas 2 years ago.
I went in after having 3 kids a breast feeding my boobs where a little saggy and deflated, I am a petite woman, I had consulted with other surgeons and was not happy that they wanted to do a breast lift and a lolly pop incision.I wanted to have a less visible incision under my breast. Ok, so I paid my $100 consultation fee, which is non-refundable. But, they offered to put it towards my surgery. I meet with a scheduling clerk which was nice, we went over pictures of his past patients. Then I was sent back to undress in a robe and go consult with the Dr. Salas, he did listen which was good and reassured me that a breast lift would not be necessary...I was really happy about that..He made other recommendations, I would say too many. But, it was my choice ! He recommend a little bit of unnecessary things that I at 34 year old dont need. Like a chin implant and under eye surgery. He did recommend that I have the implants over the breast muscle. Due to less painful and a faster recovery. however; I was set on having the implant under the muscle. I went over the different types of implants available. Days later I emailed the surgery tech/assistant and told her that I wanted the implant under the muscle and the brand of implant that I wanted. She would also respond to my questions and concerns, within a day or hours.I had a breast aug and nose job and facial fat grafting. His facial work was awesome and very natural looking.I however; was not happy with the Patient to Dr. communication.I find his handling of patients very cold and I felt like like a piece of meat coming out of a meat factory after surgery. I went to his clinic when it had a different name " Clinica de Cirugia Cosmetica Tijuana" It was kinda worrying that he would change the name of the Clinic! The day of the surgery came, I had all my lab work done and brought a cashiers check to have surgery. I went to the operating room and had the epidural, I laid on the table and didn't see Dr. Salas there which freaked me out. I was under the impression that he would be preforming the breast augmentation on me, later they explained that he would be coming in and working on my face. They also showed me the implants they would be inserting which where not the brand I had clearly told them I wanted because ..and said they would be putting the implants over the muscle! I had already from the beginning made it clear I wanted them placed under the muscle. The surgeon told me it would be more painful, sorta trying to talk me out of my choice! I had already done my research and my choice wasn't going to change last min. He kinda was annoyed! Which I picked up quickly and made me worry even more. I also told them I didn't want that brand of implants, which to me where the more "economic" brand and they had less time under warranty! They explained they didn't have the brand all last min.
After surgery everything went well. I was sent to the recovery room a nurses where mostly nice and attentive except for my over night nurse! After the anesthesia had gone down. I was able to drink water. I was wanting water sooo much because after my nose surgery I had very dry mouth. I asked for water and she never came! She never really checked on me. The next nurse came in she treated me much better. The Dr never discharges you, it is his assistance top nurse that gives you after care indications and discharge. I found that odd that the Dr. would not care enough to check on patients or see the aftermath of his work the day after surgery. All the Post Op visits are with his nurses, he never sees you till 3 months after surgery, that is when they do the "After Picture". I did not like that at all! Almost a few months later, I started noticing that my implant started rippling after I had bent over in the shower. I looked disgusting! I called and was told to send pictures which I did, later on I was told to go see the Dr. but I would have to pay another consultation fee of $100.00 WTF!I REALLY QUICKLY realized its all about the money not about the PATIENT! I later consulted with another surgeon because I was worried that perhaps the implant was placed over the muscle and not under. I am going to go have a ultrasound done to confirm. One of my implants is looking deformed in shape after 2 years. I do not feel like I can trust the work that was done to me by Evoclinic on my breast. I would not go back and would not personally recommend any of my acquaintances to go because of the lack of PATIENT AND DR. communication and trust. I emailed the clinic surgery to inquire about my medical record and would not respond, I asked for my before and after pictures and never gave them to me. She said that they needed to be water marked before handling them over to me...NEVER got them!!! After asking for them many times. I also asked the tech to look at my medical chart to see how the implant was placed. It took her days to respond because she had to ask read more
