I liked the hospital because it was clean and well run. It felt very secure with guards at the front door. They offer a bed for your companion to stay over with you after your procedure. They also provided us with a medical pass, so crossing the border took about 10 minutes. They have a cafe on the first floor. I had a chicken taco and a green juice at my follow up appointment. They will set up transportation for you and pick you up at home and drive you back. It was in a nice part of town with decent restaurants close by. read more

I was a companion for a friend getting a thigh skin removal & back skin removal/lift. So this is my POV of everything that happened while we were here. It is a very nice and clean looking hospital, I'm an American who's frequented to mexico/tijuana and I know many Americans hold a stigma against tijuana and mexican doctors in general. Overall I'd say this place gets the job done....but that's it, hence the 3 stars. Yes, she lived and made it through surgery and the results 2 days post op look impressive but the following events with post op were very questionable. First and foremost they offer a companion to come when booking the suite but they have a rule that there's no food or drink allowed in the rooms. They have a cafeteria that's open from 8am-6pm but like...after 6pm are all guests expected to wait 14 hours tills they can eat again? The patient was being brought meals post op as well so there was always food in the room so this rule was very strange to me. Next, most of the staff I encountered was nice! However, our suite was right at the front of the enterance for the floor and RIGHT across from the nurses station. When i say that almost all the nurses there were LOUD and laughing hysterically at almost all hours of the day...im not joking. I work in medical care and that is just so unprofessional! They know they had two people in this room but were still so obnoxious. The patient that brought me booked to stay 2 overnights post op. Not even 24 hours after surgery we had two nurses come in say they are going to shower her and put a body compression on. This was a complete shock to me as she hadn't even been stitched up 24 hours and getting that many open wounds wet is not a good idea. Turns out they thought we were only staying 1 night so they were trying to get her ready for discharge but whether or not she was leaving, getting a person who is in that much fresh pain into a shower with so many new open wounds is just asking for a disaster! Her second night was the worst, she was in very intense pain and could not sleep. As far as I am concerned she wasn't receiving too heavy duty of pain killers, she would get a shot of a substance a couple times a day and then the "pain relief" they periodically gave her through IV was mostly tramadol (a prescription very of aspirin that's just a little stronger) . At about midnight two nurses came in to just move her to help with pain but made it so much worse as 1) she didn't want to be moved and 2) in the commotion of it all one of the male nurses was leaning on her IV causing pain and the pressure literally took both tapes that was securing the iv on her hand right off! At this point she was quite upset that no one was listening to her and she was in a lot of pain! It was very hard as her close friend and medical professional to watch this happen, she was in tears and ready to call her mom to be picked up at 1am. She was clearly very hurt and freaked out and told the nurses they needed to leave. I'm not gonna lie and omit the fact that she yelled at them but when your whole body is in shooting pain in you and people continue to ignore your needs and try to move you, a person will get irritated! After that whole incident it just felt like the whole night staff had something against her and it was very uncomfortable. Luckily a doctor on duty was called up and able to make some stuff happen with the meds to get her to sleep but all that stress they put on her is not good for healing. Overall Dr. Suarez himself was great and very professional and I believe he did a great job on everything. The hospital is a nice establishment and clean. However in my opinion nurses are everything to a hospital, if you don't have compassionate, patient nurses it's not gonna be the best experience as we encountered. I don't want to minimize the many other great and friendly nurses she had but the bad ones really eclipsed all the other good ones. Her coordinator was very friendly and kind and was the only one who was really apologetic about the unprofessional nurses we dealt with that one night. If you are wanting to save the 10k from getting it done in America, just know you are paying for it in the standard of care you receive in this hospital at least. read more

Most staff here speak English or will use a translator app if they don't understand which is very sweet when you're post op and in pain. There are several reasons why I do NOT recommend this business! I had a thigh lift done by Dr. Suarez's team, and my experience with it turned out HORRIBLE! Besides the fact that the pre op team did know how to put in a damn IV ( I had to tell them what to do!) and the fact that the staff waited 2 weeks before my surgery to see if I had reservations at the post op hotel, my thighs do NOT appear any different than they did prior to the surgery. If anyone doesn't believe me ask me for a photo of them, and I WILL show you them! The scars are still there to prove that the surgery occurred, supposedly. Medical Tourism is a real thing! My sister and I traveled to Tijuana for a medical procedure. We were able to meet with my sister's doctor and her team. They were very professional and answered all of our questions and concerns and made us feel at ease. We were able to meet Dr. Balza on the day before my sister's surgery and she gave off a peaceful energy. She was calm, kind and we did not feel rushed. On the day of her surgery we met Vanessa Nieto, her anesthesiologist, and she too was professional and thorough. In addition, the staff located at the front desk and the security team throughout the hospital were very attentive. I can't say enough about how clean the hospital is kept! The cafeteria was small, but plenty of room to sit and an enjoy a bite to eat. I had a ham sandwich and a strawberry banana smoothie and they were yummy. Did I already mention how accommodating the hospital staff is?? My sister received the largest hospital room I've ever seen with a large beautiful view- see pictures. below. I was very impressed with everything at Hospital CER IN Tijuana. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of the full 5 was due to the male nurse who put my sister's IV in did a terrible job and made her bleed so bad...then had to locate a new vein on her other arm. I had two surgeries performed here five months ago from Dr. Suarez and my experience was pretty poor to say the least. Like other reviews have stated, my spouse came with me and was unable to eat for the most part as the cafeteria that was only open at certain times ran out of food both days. They sell this as a spa like experience, but it is nothing like that at all. Most of the female staff were fairly kind, but the male staff had no bedside manner, no sense of modesty, and in general everyone made me feel like they were just trying to crank people through as quickly as possible My surgery results were pretty poor, and I will require revision on both due to scarring and lack of skill. I am not a bariatric patient and although I know this is an area that he does most of his work in I had reached out to see if he could perform more of the aesthetic look for my tummy tuck and an upper and lower Blephroplasty which he and his staff assured me they could do. My results are disappointing to say the least my facial scars go out onto my cheeks and my tummy tuck scar is uneven, I developed two different infections and still have swelling and seromas. My recommendation would be to invest the extra money in a board certified surgeon in the United States, so that you have good follow through, aftercare, and the ability to communicate with any concerns that you have after surgery. Saving the extra money was definitely not worth it at all as I will be spending that and then some to fix the mess that Dr Suarez made of me read more

Fantastic facility. Spent two days here with my uncle who had a gastric bypass. Staff was friendly. The procedure went well and the recovery suites are good and spacious. It's in a good, safe neighborhood on the business side of downtown. Lots of great restaurants in walking distance as well as the museum. One week ago I had a full tummy tuck and lipo with Dr Rebecca Trujillo Acosta and Dr Isabel Brasa. I had severe bleeding during the surgery and these ladies took great care of me. After I was moved to my private room they came to check on me and explain how the surgery went. The anasthesiologist was also with them. What an amazing team I had. The nurses at the hospital are very young and had trouble putting my IV in, and they spoke no English which made communication very hard, especially after surgery and being in severe pain. I went for my first post op visit with Dr. Rebecca yesterday and the results are amazing! She has called to check on me constantly and is so warm and really cares for her patients outcome!! Last year I visited the CER Hospital, for a breast procerdure. Dr. Suarez who is the chief surgeon and Dr. Sepulveda did an amazing job. Both doctors displayed excellent bed side manners. I was a little bit scared to get the surgery done in Mexico specially during this pandemic because I had to come here by myself and stay here for 8 days. The nurse Flor helped me with a shower everyday. She is awesome! Including her, every staff here is very informative and professional. MJ, she is in charge of all of the administrative work. The food was excellent! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The facility is very nice and clean. I am 24 hours post surgery for a neck lift / lipo (under my chin). Its a minor issue but a hereditary thing that has always bothered me. Always with the double chin in photos. You'll get blood work, and an echocardiogram to make sure that you are 100% for surgery. They are very thorough, very professional. For anyone with the misconception about surgery in another Country think again. This Hospital is the cleanest, most hygenic, most professional medical facility I have visited. Dr. Eduardo Ochoa made my double chin into a single chin and I cannot thank him enough for his work! He's patient, kind and talks to you through out the whole procedure to make sure you're calm and not so fixated on the actual procedure freaking out. Everything was done under local anesthesia, no sedation what so ever so you're not all loopy and drowsy. I want to say the overall pain level was a 1-2 only when local was being injected. CER Hospital is a multi level floor hospital that is clean, professional and grand. My coordinator MJ spoke perfect English and so did everyone else at CER Hospital so there were no language barriers at all. For anyone that is scared to get work done in TJ, DONT BE. There is a HORRIBLE Doctor here by the name of Dr. Isabel Balza who truly is the absolute Worst Surgeon not only in CER Hospital but in all of Tijuana. I had a Breast Lift and under eyelid surgery done at CER Hospital a year ago, and Dr.Balza BOTCHED me and ruined both my Breasts and Eyelid surgeries. I woke up in the Middle of my surgery because the Anesthesiologist she used didn't do his job(CER should be sued for allowing this to happen at their hospital). I witnessed my right Breasts being sown by her assistant who was stretching her hands and sitting on the opposite side, which caused my Nipples and Breasts to be sown incorrectly. This horrible doctor at CER Hospital Should loose her License. CER hospital shouldn't allow This Doctor to operate at their facility. Dr. Isabel Balza also completely failed to explain to me correctly which Sutures were supposed to be removed and which sutures would dissolve themselves. When i came back to America. I almost died trying to remove all sutures because this stupid Doctor failed to explain the correct after care methods. I curse this evil woman and all the pain and trauma she caused me, i pray God will pay her! I had plastic surgery (skin removal) done in March 2019 Fast forward to today and I messaged with pictures of uneven breast, excess skin still in place in my stomach and in my thighs. I am not eligible for another surgery and they are not willing to reimburse ANYTHING!!!! They did offer a revision surgery which they already know I'm not a candidate for another surgery. But I would still be responsible for hospital fees, plane tickets, where to recover and not to mention another 2 months off of work! Well, it was quite an experience I. I flew from Los Angeles to San Diego stayed in a hotel right by the border where they came to pick me up the next morning. I saw the doctor right before my surgery and then never again afterwards. I do like my breast augmentation but I requested a Lift and they are not lifted. They look better than they did but still I am not 100% happy with them. I expected them to not be so saggy. Now I don't really know what to do about it? I don't know if he would do anything about it. el peor hospital donde puedes estar y la dra isabel balza ni se te ocurra operarte con esa mujer porq podrá decir que tiene certificaciones pero ética profesional no tiene fui su paciente hace apenas 4 meses estoy sufriendo de dolores 24/7 porq se me reventaron las costuras por dentro y ella lo sabe me e comunicado con su coordinadora norma y nunca me quiso ver esa señora que se dice dra . solo toma tu dinero y jamás quiere verte ni saber de ti y en la cita antes de cirugía te dice q te chequeara 5 a 6 veces después de tu cirugía pues no es así nunca se dejen operar por esa dra puse mis comentarios en instagram y los borran o te bloquean así q que profesionalismo es ese !? y ya me enteré que aquí en san diego estaba estafando por favor hagan research ( investiguen) antes si tú dr no tiene buenos comentarios y muchos likes quiere decir que no sirve y si van al instagram y no hay ningún buen comentario o malos esq no sirve porq ellos los borran los malos y buenos ni existen porq nadie puede decir nada bueno de ese dr yo me deje llevar de una señora que según me había dicho la dra balza la había operado y ahora con mi caso me dice q fue ella y su socia pero q la que la operó fue la socia de esta dra imagínense y que ya se pelearon con la socia y eso yo no lo supe y jamás vi el instagram de esta señora mentirosa ahí me hubiera dado cuenta q no sirve ya que no tiene likes y ningún comentario bueno es el caso de esta señora isabel balza que debería de ser isabel falsa !!! read more

I just had my breast implants replaced couse they were cousins a lot of pain and they were moving to the sides :( I decide to do it at cer hospital since it look nice and everyone I talk too were very profecional and nice since the moment I got to the hospital to the minute I left I was amaziling taking care of staff and nurses are so caring and careful DR Luis Suarez did a great job even do I'm swollen I can tell they look great! I stayed over night and I was taking care of the whole time ! I was not expecting all of that ! I'm so happy and I highly recommend Dr Luis Suarez and all the staff ! And the recovery rooms are so great and u can even take a friend with u ! Thank u to all the staff !! And they have drivers that would pick u up in San ysidro and take u to the hospital and drive u back!!! So cool read more

The booking process was easy. Met Dr Suarez may 10th 2016 for a tummy tuck and lipo. He told me for me to get the best results, i would need a 360 tummy tuck. My quote was a regular tummy tuck he didnt charge me extra. I was super nervous with it being surgery in tj. But dr saurez is amazing. The hosp is so clean, the food so good. I got pick up in San Diego Wednesday to get my gastric sleeve surgery. The driver a was great . When I got to the clinic a was attended by Mariana and she walk me through the thinks I have to do. After my blood she take me to the 4 floor to do my check in at the room after that the nurses are very nice and friendly and I meet all the dr. The follow al the protocol for my surgery. After I change and got all my test result a was taking to the operating room. When a was the the dr Alberto Carlos a was there the anesthetic and the nurse all very nice and caring . After my surgery the recovery a was incredible all the nurses and staff were there next to meet and explain everything the were going to do or take. I'm very bless to have this incredible team the place is immaculate clean and all the staff are amazing. Today a was my last day of recovery. I'm happy . I can't wait for my results.
