I flew from the east coast of the US to come to this clinic for Dr Juan Fuentes. I got nose fillers for the very first time (first time for any kind of fillers and face procedure so I was a little nervous). My nose was fractured long time ago and I'm still saving for surgery, so fillers is a temporary and affordable (out of the US) option. I traveled from the San Francisco Bay Area to VIDA for a deep plane facelift with Dr. Quiroz after spending months researching surgeons and reading everything I could find about the procedure. At 55 years old, I wanted a surgeon who had performed deep plane facelifts for many years and a facility that could support me through recovery. I flew into San Diego where the shuttle driver texted me after I landed and told me exactly where to meet him. The drive to Tijuana was easy. There were two other women in the shuttle, both returning to VIDA for additional procedures after having surgery there before. During the ride they talked about their results, their previous experiences, and why they were coming back. As someone traveling for surgery for the first time, hearing that from actual patients was reassuring. Everyone I encountered spoke excellent English, including the drivers, coordinators, nurses, and doctors. Most of the patients I met were Americans who had traveled from different parts of the United States. If someone had dropped me off there without telling me where I was, I could easily have believed I was in a medical facility somewhere in the U.S. When I arrived, my luggage was stored while I completed my pre-operative appointments. I had blood work, a urine test, an EKG, photographs, and consultations. After that I checked into the recovery center for the night before surgery. One thing I appreciated was that everything was located in the same building. The hospital, recovery center, pharmacy, medical offices, and café were all there. I never had to travel from one location to another or worry about transportation between appointments. The morning of surgery I changed into the gown they provided and was given medication to help me relax. I remember being taken into the operating room, lying down on the table, and then waking up later in a hospital bed with a nurse telling me my surgery was finished. I was nervous to look in the mirror because I expected to be extremely swollen and bruised. When I finally looked, I was surprised. There was swelling, of course, but much less than I had imagined. I was not heavily bruised and looked far more normal than I expected after a major surgery. After leaving the hospital, I returned to the recovery center for several nights. Nurses checked on me regularly, brought my medications, monitored my recovery, and were available whenever I needed something. Meals were delivered directly to my room. The food included fresh fruit, vegetables, chicken, soups, salads, potatoes, and smoothies. Coffee, tea, water, and snacks were always available. Violeta answered every question I had before surgery and responded quickly to emails and messages. She helped coordinate all of the details and made the process easy. Rocio was equally helpful during my stay and always made sure I knew what was happening next. Dr. Quiroz answered my questions, explained the procedure, and never made me feel rushed. One of the reasons I chose him was his experience with deep plane facelifts, and throughout my stay I met patients who had previously had surgery with him and were returning again. I am writing this review only one week after surgery. I still have some swelling, especially in my neck, and some bruising, but I already look dramatically different than I did before surgery. My neck was one of the main reasons I decided to have this procedure. It had bothered me for years. Even with swelling still present, it already looks smooth. Over the past few days I have been putting my before photos next to photos taken this week, and I am honestly amazed by the difference. I look younger. Friends and family who have seen photos have noticed it too. The most exciting part is knowing that I am still very early in the healing process and that my final result is still months away. Anyone considering a facelift should understand that swelling, bruising, temporary asymmetry, tightness, numbness, and visible stitches are normal parts of recovery. No one looks like their final result during the first week. Swelling goes down, bruising fades, stitches are removed, and everything continues to settle over time. That is simply part of the process. I live in Northern California, and when I compare the cost of surgery, transportation, recovery accommodations, nursing care, and follow-up support to what I would have paid locally, the difference is substantial. More importantly, I do not know of any facility near me that provides this level of coordinated care, where surgery, recovery, transportation, nursing support, pharmacy services, and follow-up care are all connected in one place. After sending photos to arrange for a acid peal they suggested a c-02 laser treatment. After driving 7 hours they informed me that they didnt have me on schedule for this procedure and I would need to return for an acid peal due to my pigmentation. (Mind you this is what I had requested) they took photos, and said they would consult the dermatologist and get back to me. 1 week later still no follow up. 2 calls later I was assured I would get a call back. Nobody called so I called and left messages, no return call. A week later I tried calling again and was tokd that I would recieve a follow up call. Nothing. I called before closing time and was told that the Dr had 48 clients just that day. Still no call. They informed me that my original dr Sanchez had referred me to the dermatologist Dr Del la Fuente. Although they had told me that I couldn't have the laser they took extensive photos and said that dr Del la Fuente would call to discuss the laser procedure (that they had said i shouldn't have) bottom line... these people left me with a horribly executed botox. (They didnt apply what they charged for leaving a lopsided face) they also are too busy to care or even return calls. If you are an American trying to schedule here, don't waste your time. Doctor Funtes did a highly unprofessional job with me. He deformed my nose. The doctor made my nose look like a big pig's snout. He made me a slope, I didn't ask for it. However, I asked to make the tip smaller, but Dr. Fuentes didn't do it at all. My nose looks aesthetically unappealing; moreover, it is asymmetrical. After his surgery, I had an infection. Still, I cannot hear with one ear, and I cannot breathe. I am still crying when I see myself in the mirror. Everybody is asking me who disfigured me. When I tried to contact the doctor, his secretary said that the doctor is either on vacation or in surgery all the time. Doctor Carlos Fuentes took my money, my beauty, and my health! I came to Vida Wellness & Beauty for CO2 laser resurfacing. I was first quoted $1,500 for face and neck, which I accepted. When I called to schedule, I was told that was "last year's price" and the new cost was $2,500. I suggested meeting in the middle since the original quote had just been sent to me, but management would not honor it. To make things more uncomfortable, the day before my procedure I also had fat freezing treatments ($900). I didn't have the cash in my pocket but did have it in my car across the street. Instead of letting me return the next day (I was already scheduled for surgery), two staff members insisted on following me nearly a mile to my car to collect the money. That felt untrusting and awkward. Pros: Dr. Quiros is an excellent doctor, very professional, and I believe the medical staff do great work. Cons: Management practices felt rigid and left me feeling mistrusted and undervalued as a patient. I had a great experience here. I was definitely a little wary about traveling to Tijuana for plastic surgery, but from the moment I arrived, I felt completely at ease. The doctors are well-educated, the staff is incredibly professional, and the overall customer service is top-notch. From the coordinator to the nurse, the anesthesiologist to Dr. Juan Fuentes himself, every single person I interacted with made me feel safe, cared for, and respected. Not once did I feel nervous or unsure. My procedure went off without a hitch, and I was genuinely impressed with how smoothly everything was handled. Dr. Fuentes is an amazing surgeon and an even better person. He pays attention to the tiniest details, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. My incisions were barely noticeable, and I'm honestly thrilled with the results. I even felt confident enough to book another small outpatient procedure with them shortly after. I spent one night at their hospital after the surgery, and then stayed at their boutique hotel, which I also really loved. Clean, relaxing, and comfortable. Exactly what I needed for recovery. My wife and friends all say I look at least 20 years younger! It is not possible to find a more professional surgery center anywhere. The care and facilities are all 5 star as well. I had extended brachioplasty here. Originally my surgery was going to be for extended brachioplasty and breast implants. I paid for both procedures in full ahead of my surgery date. The day before surgery I was told that I would need a more extensive breast lift which is not anything that I had planned or budgeted for as it would would be another 12 or 13 hundred dollars on top of what I had paid already. I opted out of the breast implants all together and just decided to go for brachioplasty as that was my main concern. My surgeon did not put jp drains in and after surgery I started having pain in my left armpit and the doctor found that there was a hematoma. He decided to be aggressive and put me under again to take out all the blood and then put a jp drain in. It required me to have to stay another night in the hospital which resulted in over $900 bill. The next morning I was told that I HAVE to stay an another night in the recovery boutique (at $180 a night) even though my vitals were stable and I had already booked and paid for the Marriott down the street (recommend by them). I wanted to go and rest in my hotel where I could rest comfortably and I had my husband there to help me. They refused to let me leave and it made me feel Iike a prisoner. I got so stressed out that I started to cry. They finally let me go home after signing a release consent. I am only being refunded less than $500 for the breast augmentation that I paid $3000 for after the $900 was deducted from the refund. After opting out of the breast lift, a coordinator went over the breakdown of the refund and I noticed that they increased the original paid quote in 3 areas, the operating room, the medication and the compressions garment. I asked why the prices for these increased and I didn't get an answer, just an "oh I don't know about that, let me fix it" ( it was a difference of $250 all together. The surgeon did a good job but ultimately I would not recommend coming here again because it was mentally and emotionally stressful and I feel like they are unethical regarding costs. I ended up paying thousands more than I would have for just the brachioplasty and left with a horrible experience. read more

Seven months I paid $12000 and am disappointed with the work. I was told I'd get a tummy tuck with abdominal muscle tightening and that did not happen. I got no muscle tightening at all. Its been 6 months today that I had my face lift done by Dr Quiroz. I was a little nervous going to Tijuana but then did my research about the place and the doctor and with my husbands encouragement, decided on getting it there. I dont regret my decision at all. Its very clean with friendly staff who take good care of you. Stayed in the recovery boutique for 7 days and it was very comfortable with excellent food. The only thing there was no window in the room. A little depressing. It was very very uncomfortable for the first 2 days after the surgery and then it took 2 weeks when I had the stitches removed. The swelling took almost 2 months to go. The package included drainage massages too which I did after I came home. They provide shuttle service from certain points which is an added convenience. I can go on and on as overall my experience and the results are great and I am very happy. One thing I forgot to mention is the reasonable charges for the whole package. Originally wanted 1 procedure. After dr came in he added different procedures I didn't really want.didn't feel like I had a choice but to agree, after my quote the gave me a "discount". My totally was 6100. Gave 1500 down and scheduled surgery. After some unexpected circumstances I tried rescheduling my surgery they said I would lose deposit and discount.. they finally agree to change my surgery with same deposit but no discount. Since my surgery I have had soreness and a lump in my neck where there were stitches. The left side healed with no problem but the right side never did. I informed the team of a huge swollen and infected lump about a week after I got home and was told by the surgeon to take antibiotics, which I did and the swelling decreased quite a bit. It still had not gone away after 7 months, so I visited my own doctor who told me I had something in that location that needed to be removed. It was removed last week, and I ended up with seven stitches and a big scar and was informed that they had removed a foreign body which had been left there during surgery. CoolShaping IS NOT CoolSculpting! First, let me say that I've had CoolSculpting treatments in San Diego and had AMAZING results. I discovered VIDA by doing a quick Google search looking to do CoolSculpting again to get nice and tight for summer. I did some research and VIDA seemed to be legit. I paid about 2k in the states to have my stomach and flanks treated and was quoted $600 ($1400 savings) to have the same treatment done. It sounded too good to be true (and it was) but I figured I would give it a shot, even if CoolShaping provided half the results that CoolSculpting did, I would have been stoked with the results! It has been a full 8 weeks since my treatment and I have seen ZERO results. Nothing, nada, zilch. At this point when I had my CoolSculpting treatment, I was looking SHREDDED and over the moon ecstatic with the results. CoolShaping is a complete SCAM and a complete waste of time and money. I've also tried contacting VIDA to address the issue and they will not get back to me! DO NOT go for the cheaper option and the knock off version of CoolSculpting. Pay the extra money and get it done by the professionals in the U.S. I'm sorely disappointed with my experience at VIDA. On top of that, the staff is not the easiest to get ahold of or communicate with to get an initial appointment or to answer questions. I hope this helps others when making their decision. I went in for a typical breast lift with implant exchange. I told him i wanted the same size and was explicit in not going smaller. The end result was from a horror movie. One of my nipples looked deformed. The scars were uneven and was as small as a c cup. I'll upload a picture for you to judge. He is a good Dr when it comes to facial surgery, unless you don't care about the mayor scars. I do not recommend in any type of breast surgery from him. read more

I must admit I had reservations about going out of the country to have plastic surgery. When I walked in I was surprised at the level of professionalism I was met with by the front office staff. I met the Doctor and was further impressed with his patience and honesty and work. It has been a week and I go back tomorrow to have my stitches removed. My wife says the surgery looks better already and I am healing really fast. Thank you very much for your service I am happy to recommend your office. This is regarding JUAN CARLOS FUENTES. I got my rhinoplasty done around June 2020. I waited well over a year to be fair and allow for swelling to go down. The day after surgery I immediately noticed how uneven my nostrils were. I brought it to his attention and he brushed it off saying it was due to swelling. When I met with him for the cast removal I brought it up again and he said he would charge me $100 MORE to make the good nostril like like the bad one. Not once did he apologize or own up to his mistakes. My tip was lifted although we agreed he would not lift my tip, my bridge has a weird indentation, scars are extremely noticeable and ugly due to his sloppy stitches, nostrils are extremely uneven and shaped differently. I also suffer from breathing problems which is due to a deviated septum that I DID NOT have before surgery. This "surgeon" lacks so much empathy, professionalism, and talent. I now suffer from depression and he also refused to send me MY pictures. He obviously doesn't want to get sued. There was another review I read about him causing nerve damage to someone else. Please be very careful and do lots of research. There is a reason why he does not post good pictures of his work. I also remember waking up on the surgery table and being extremely scared. First time going under anesthesia so not sure if that's normal. Definitely going to look into a lawyer very soon. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Vida Wellness for a surgical procedure with Dr Quiroz . The facilities were incredible. Everything at Vida Wellness is state of the art. Their beautiful 5 story building is impeccably clean, modern and located just a few minutes south of the US/Mexican border. Upon my initial inquiry about a consultation, I was contacted by Mariana, the patient specialist, who answered all my initial questions and put me in touch with Denisse, Dr Quiroz' coordinator. Denisse made sure all my appointments were set up and was in constant contact regarding scheduling and preparation for my surgery. Both Mariana and Denisse were extremely helpful in making sure everything went smoothly.
