We went to EVO for a pre-Mother's Day dinner. We've been to the Old Town location before and had a spectacular experience, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, there were a few disappointments this time. First, the online menu listed the lobster gnocchi, but the in-restaurant menu was different. The best dishes by far were the whipped feta and the meatballs both were excellent and worth returning for. However, there were some misses. The lobster (served with a side of gnocchi) was undercooked, and the short rib pasta was overwhelmingly spicy with very little short rib. I typically enjoy spicy food, but this was excessive and not noted on the menu. Out of about ten dishes, only the whipped feta and meatball appetizers stood out. I also ordered a gin and tonic but didn't drink it--the tonic was flat. A family member noted the same with their soda. We'll definitely be back for the apps but that's about it. Beautiful interior and cool vibe inside this restaurant. I went here with my family on our last night in town. The food was delicious! My son's order of kids white sauce pasta came out worth red sauce, so the kitchen remade it, unfortunately it took over 20 minutes for them to remake just pasta and sauce. However I appreciated the staff and restaurant trying to make it right by making his dish on the house and even provided their bread service free too! Also delicious btw. The kids chicken tenders came with 4 large pieces, which was a pleasant surprise, the chicken Parmesan with a side to fettuccine Alfredo, and the crispy lasagna were or picks. My son's white sauce pasta was more watery then the Alfredo and I'm not sure why it wasn't the same. Either way, it's a great place for a date or family dinner. read more

Came here for the first time on a Friday night for dinner (with a reservation). It was busy, but not chaotic, and there's enough space between tables to have private conversation. The menu has great variety and making decisions was a challenge... our server was very patient! We had the meatballs (delicious), the charred octopus (fantastic), the lasagna (SO big), and the short rib ragu (there are no words!). Literally just got the worst food poisoning I've ever had from Evo North Scottsdale, so wasn't surprised to just see that they were on Dirty Dining with 5 health violations. Got a late night burger and paid for it all week. Outside of that, the other times I've been there. The service from the bar area has been nothing short of disappointing. They were able to seat us 30min early and were very accommodating throughout our whole visit. Even let us choose our seat (window or dining floor) which I appreciated. The whipped Feta was absolutely the best thing we had and the server recommended it. EVO salad was incredible if you like the taste of crispy kale/brussel sprouts. It sounded kind of weird at first but is totally worth it if that's your style. The chile Shrimp pasta was ok, not a lot of flavor, a thin oil sauce with a bit of a kick, and the mint was interesting but not my favorite. The shrimp were huge though and cooked well. Not bad at all, but the bar was set very high by the first two appetizers. Highly recommend, they're open very late too which is unique, the vibes are dim and peaceful (except for the drunk guy behind me yelling in my ear...), great for pictures and cute date nights. This is the old Sante location in N Scottsdale which has a cool vibe. Came here for date night to check it out. We were greeted very quickly and showed to our table. Took about 5 minutes for our server Susie to acknowledge us and bring water. Since we got there before 6 the hostess brought out the happy hour menu for us. Started with appetizers of meatballs and charred octopus. I thought the meatballs were a little too soft and crumbly, my date like it that way. He thought the octopus was a little chewy. For our main meals, I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and my date ordered the pestos chicken. He thought the pesto chicken was ok. For the chicken fettuccini Alfredo, I have had better. The chicken was very salty, the noodles and sauce were clumped together like it was at the bottom of pan. I like to have a little more creaminess to my Alfredo sauce. We say the charcuterie board that was brought to the table next to us that look very pretty. In know they just opened and hopefully food will improve over time. I enjoy the old town location. Such a great happy hour! We started off with the arancini and whipped feta which were both incredible, I think I liked the whipped feta slightly more. For entrees we had the fennel sausage pasta and the Margherita pizza. Both of these were also excellent. I'm a cheese fan though so I would've liked a little more cheese on the Margherita lol. Honestly, I would like to do 4.5 stars and the only reason I'm doing 4 is the ambiance. It was a little loud due to some large groups together. Nothing the restaurant could have done about it. Food health advisors alert!!! Not what we expected. We thought this was an upscale atmosphere - nope! ...worse yet as we were seated in the bar area, we noticed several times the bartenders using their bare fingers eating the fruit/vegetables that they cut for the cocktails they made. This was tremendously insulting and felt encroaching on customers' health. Our Waitress, Gabby, did not check on our satisfaction which we actually enjoyed our burrata salad and honey hot pizza. However, the lack of visible sanitization left us nauseous as to what we possibly don't know compared to what we literally saw. Local tv show strikes out again 0-4. I believe it was for the original location, but this is much closer to our house. Had this bookmarked for a while, finally made the visit. Food: Apps were very good, Shrimp Arrabiatta was the standout. The entrees were a mixed bag with no-one at the table being fully happy. The chicken parm was solid, but the gnocchi was an off pairing and they came out lukewarm with Alfredo sauce. The chicken Alfredo had perfectly seasoned and cooked chicken, but the sauce was a miss. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the glaze was way too sweet and had to be scraped off(as much as possible). Rest of the items had a similar hit/miss. Service: Well, could use some training. Soda refills should not be poured from a carafe. The ice melts in the empty glass and you end up with diluted soda. Pouring soda with no ice makes it even worse. Even Olive Garden just brings a fresh drink. While getting the refills, which we had to flag her down, she completely ignored my wife's empty water glass. I guess they also had a 1/2 bottle special, didn't know until the table next to us ordered 2 glasses and the server said they can take advantage of the special. We were 1/2 into our meal at that point, so too late. Overall: We will give the OT location a shot, but seems the one here is a miss. We walked by and decided to stop in for dinner- reservations are recommended as they were busy and we ended up being seated on the patio since we were without a reservation. The patio has multiple misters- so it was refreshing, the misters can be a bit too much as our tables and shoulders were quite damp... lol Service was super friendly and quick with drinks and food delivery. The menu seemed like typical Italian fare with generous servings! Drinks were as expected- I had the sangria and it was refreshing my bf had a glass of wine. Food wise we both started with a salad, the Caesar (basic delicious) and the crispy Brussels- BE WARNED- if you want a healthier salad the crispy Brussels and kale is not it- it's basically a completely fried salad- was it good yes, but it was definitely not what I expected as it's basically friend kale pieces, fried Brussel halves and pancetta. The meatballs were HUGE served over sauce with some bread and the grilled octopus also a large serving- beautifully cooked with olives and potatoes. If we knew how big these apps were we would have skipped the salads... Definitely recommend- apparently it turns into a lounge towards midnight but they do serve food till 1am! read more

Sal a delightful and hardworking hands on manager is a treasure. The restaurant appears to run like clockwork, with well managed staff working cohesively for a great dining experience. I would like to update my review. I was so excited to come back and enjoy another good experience with some friends. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and the food this time was not great. I ordered the Caprese salad again and this time they were really stingy with the cheese. It literally came with a teaspoon scoop of the cheese. My husband and I shared the salad and there wasn't enough cheese to split. Then I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana with a side of spaghetti pasta. Sad...sad...sad. Again, very stingy with the cheese. One of the eggplant didn't even have cheese on it and the other had a narrow sliver. The side pasta was something out of a kids menu and the sauce tasted it just came out of a jar. So disappointing and poor quality this time. I have no desire to go back. What a fantastic Italian spot! Great vibe, super friendly staff.. thanks Madison...and awesome decor. My appetizer was bruschetta which came with halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella ball and apple cream/fig jam combo, accompanied by thin triangles of bread. The tomatoes needed to be chopped as they kept falling off the bread altho good taste as was the other two. Toasted bread rounds would have been better. Entree was Chili Shrimp which was very tasty with a nice kick. My only negative was the tail was still on and I prefer it off in an entree. Tiramisu was not good. No lady fingers on the bottom, not much coffee flavor and tasted mostly like whipped cream. The coffee was luke warm and you could tell it was not fresh. Service was not consistent. Server was always pleasant and initially checked on us. Water was always refilled. However, despite the fact that I would not have wanted another cup of old coffee, the server did not ask if I wanted more. She had boxed up the appetizer to take home and forgot to give it to me so I had to ask for it. If you're looking for a really good Italian restaurant, this is not it. read more

My wife and I rolled into Scottsdale late at night, checked into the Holiday Inn Vacation Resort, and were absolutely starving. Thankfully, EVO was open late--and it completely hit the spot. It's not easy finding quality food after hours, but EVO delivered on every level. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, the service was great even at the late hour, and the food was delicious. I experienced heavily intoxicated employees and the subsequent alteration of my signed receipt at Evo North Scottsdale; both of which seem like serious liquor law violations and a major breach of customer trust. On Wednesday, October 15th, 2025, I visited Evo North Scottsdale around 10 PM with my girlfriend for a late dinner. Throughout our visit, it was blatantly clear that the two male employees working that night (serving and bartending) were heavily intoxicated. They were visibly impaired and unprofessional, which explained the poor service and overall chaos. We waited about 40 minutes before anyone took our order, had to flag down staff multiple times just to get plates and silverware after our food arrived, and later waited over an hour for our check after begging to receive it 3 separate times. After leaving, I discovered that my signed receipt (where I had purposefully left a $0 tip), was altered. The restaurant added a tip without my authorization so now I'm working through a dispute with my bank. This was one of the worst and most unprofessional dining experiences I've ever had, and I would strongly caution others before visiting this establishment. read more

It's like shakshuka with some potatoes stewed in and the flavors were delicious - it had a slight kick and paired perfectly with the bread on the side. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken tenders were perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Overall, the food was pretty good! It was me and my husband's first night out in two years. The food looked and smelled amazing. We weren't even hungry and we just had to try the steak bruschetta and another app. All three bartenders were absolutely fantastic. The vibe, the recommendations, the attention to us and the attention to detail of every drink they served us that night. If we ever get another babysitter, we are definitely coming back here.
