It's time to invest in some new ski gear and I wasn't sure about were to turn. I learned about evo through Yelp and from there, ordered some ski pants online. I decided to make a return at the store to check out more of their selection and with one foot through the door, I was hooked! Fast forward a couple of weeks and I have brand new boots and bindings from here and will most likely buy new skis in the near future. What set evo apart for me is the service. I was nervous to go in for a boot fitting because boots are expensive and I wanted to trust that I wasn't getting upsold for no reason. I really trusted the person who helped me out. He presented a few different options and took time to make sure we found the best one for me. As mentioned, I ended up needing new bindings too and had a great experience with the service shop, as well. How can so many nice people work in one place?! I made an appointment online for a boot fitting and felt very safe in terms of COVID throughout my time in the store. They have a stanchion outside and you have to be let in one at a time which ensures the store isn't too crowded. Parking can be found in the alley behind the store or via metered street parking nearby. There are different entrances for different parts of the store. Overall, I'd happily drive the 20 or so minutes to this store, rather than settle for the Epic closer to my house. Thank you, evo! read more

Evo overall has a great website and some very competitive prices on many outdoor products. However I wouldn't recommend for more bespoke service such as ski boot fitting where I had a major issue with them. When I went in for ski boot fitting I definitely wasn't super knowledgable about what I was looking for. And I have a wide foot. So what ended up happening was the ski boot fitter just sold me 1 size up from what I should have been. I only confirmed this when I went to get the boots worked on and the guy at another shop in Denver showed me exactly what size I was (the size down). Now this sets up a crummy situation where I spent $300+ on the wrong sized boots. And there's only so much that can be done to improve ski fit unfortunately. So I may have lost $300 and gotten some sore feet with all this. read more

Visiting from La so my group and I decided to make a pit stop here before heading to the airport. Trevor helped us out and he was hands down the best! Super knowledgeable and helpful. He helped us get sized for snowboard boots and was able to answer all our questions. We had a great experience here based solely on the customer service we received. I had a great experience here. I stopped by to kill time not intending to buy, though I needed new snowboard boots. They were slow at the shop so Shane still took the time to fit me up and give me tips for choosing a boot. You obviously know where this is going...I was so pleased with the experience I did end up getting the new boots. Shane was knowledgeable, thorough and super chill. Probably the biggest win was the fact that they had a shop dog there that you could pet while you wait! I'd def recommend going here. read more

I won't spend another dollar here. They replaced my rear tire, lost it coming home on I70, which cost $300+. I was cool with that. Couldn't figure why every time I rode after, I'd get a flat. After the 5th flat and ton of frustration, I noticed all flats were on the interior, took it in. They didn't put down tape to protect the tube and charged me for it. I'll drive to wheat ridge next time. read more

My partner and I went to buy him his first pair of ski boots the summer before last season. When he tried them on again before the season started, they were clearly too tight. He brought them back and tried to return them, but Evo wouldn't take them bc they'd made some adjustment to the boot when he bought it. He brought them back again after wearing them and experiencing excruciating pain, had his foot measured by an employee, and was told that the boots were the right size for his foot. He ended up returning 3 different times for adjustments due to immense foot pain. (His toenail actually fell off due to pressure from the boots.) After these boots ruined last year's ski season, we decided to go to a different store for a second opinion. We had his foot measured by two separate employees, and they both told us that there was no doubt that he was sold the wrong boots. They couldn't believe we'd been back to the store 3 times, told that they were indeed the right size, and denied the ability to return them, even though we'd requested an exchange. Armed with new confidence, we once again returned to Evo, this time strongly insisting to see someone to exchange the boots, and we finally had a corrective experience. Brad helped us, measured my partner's foot, agreed that these boots were a terrible fit for his feet (finally!), and fit him with a bigger boot. Brad took awesome care of us and made sure we didn't pay extra for the exchange even though this was a more expensive boot. We're super appreciative that Evo finally did the right thing, but I still give them one star because their negligence ruined 1.5 ski seasons for us and left my partner in immense pain at the end of every ski day. We could have avoided this whole mess if the first person to remeasure my partner's foot would have just been honest and willing to exchange the boots. read more

I would always see great deals for gear online and was curious to see their store front. I was lucky enough to visit their flagship store in Denver. Not as big as I imagined it would be. Brought two snowboards in for tuning. They did a terrible job. The wax they used was like glue, and on one side of one of the snowboards, the finish was like a skin under the board, making it catch the snow, forcing a turn when riding. I paid $70 for the work they said they did. Brought my board to a tuning store at Winter Park. They said it also needed sharpening on the edges (which Evo was supposed to do). Winter Park Tuning made the snowboard like new again. I WOULD NOT USE EVO FOR ANYTHING. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I just wanted to say that I was in EVO Denver recently. I came in with my wife and we were planning on browsing around. We both are in the customer service business (Sales and retention). As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the the most charming young woman named Aly. I can honestly say that we have never been helped so much in a store. She was knowledgeable, sincere, took a 100% interest in us and just seemed like she loved her job. By the time we left the store, we felt like we were leaving a friend and not a salesperson. Due to her impeccable hospitality and service we ended up buying quite a bit of equipment and clothing. We have recommended EVO to everyone we know and have to say it was the best customer experience we have ever been a part of. I completely trust this outfit. They get all my business now. Here's the other piece, I am an OG sponsored professional ski bum who will stop at nothing to not let this life style die & keep the freak flag flying high, don't let the youthful faces behind the counter fool you. I Went in today to pick up an order and buy a couple things I wanted to try on in store. Josh helped me pick up my order, and then preceded to help me get fitted for some boots. Josh and Bekka helped me find boots that fit and would be fitted for this next season. Between heat molding the boot and checking out, I was looking at goggles and Ally helped me find the last pair of low bridge goggles I wanted to get. They have such a great team, and I saved a bunch of money when checking out. The prices where reasonable and many items where on sale. They had a great selection of items and I ended up leaving with some googles, boots, and a helmet! The associated also helped me carry my order to my car. Been using Evo for about four years now when I upgrade a random piece of boarding gear each season, and definitely a great store. Got bindings last season and the hardware shredded my third day, and after speaking with the manager they were super kind and let me grab any bindings I wanted with good discount. Sometimes sales associates don't have the freedom to make any decision they want on returns, but just being kind and asking if they could leave a note for management worked great for me! Got some new boots for the first time in a decade today and Dominick was super nice and helpful with it. Really appreciate you Dominick! Patrick and Ashley were both super nice and helpful as well! I was visiting town and knew I wanted to get in a scenic bike ride. I ride a commuter bike at home, but wanted to splurge on a nice carbon road bike. It was worth the extra spend ($70 for the whole day). Came with a helmet, lock, and they threw in a tube and air cartridges in case I got a flat. I recommend bringing your own phone mount and lights if you have them. I rode from the shop to Golden Colorado on mainly bike lanes and paved Clear Creek Trail. Highly recommended. read more

I can't put this review off. I came in with a major blow out of my boot that I had bought through Evo. However, Evo didn't even ask whether or not I purchased through them. The issue was a walk/hike to ski latch on my K2 boots had completely blown out. See pic. The latch was left on some mountain side. Mind you, I was planning to either regress to old boots or wait til I had new boots. The staff asked what the problem was. As soon as one gentleman heard the problem, he knew exactly what was up. He worked with the other Evo employee, and they took care of business. I walked out in 30 minutes feeling like I was so happy I came to Evo. Don't let their huge online presence make you think they do not have a solid crew in Denver. I already liked them, but this made me certain that they were solid. It was a k2 issue, but the folks took it upon themselves to resolve it. These folks are solid, and deserve to be regarded in the same group as the best folks in town. Give them a shot. read more

Got my name on the list for a boot fitting as soon as I walked in and I was informed that I would be the last appointment and understood I had to wait a bit. An associate informed me that the person who was going to help me was working 3 hours straight and needed a break. I continued sitting and didn't say anything. She came back to inform me that it would be another 15 minutes and I would be seen. After 20 minutes went by a different associate approached me and said it was going to be a bit longer and she went to check how much longer, but didn't bother to come back to tell me how much longer it was going to be. It's a hit or miss with which associate you come across Only ONE person stood out to me while waiting and helping as a part of the front store staff and that's Mati and I was pleased with her recommendation of boot expert Scotty. One star for Mati for her positive and outstanding customer service. One star for our boot expert Scotty for his expertise, patience, and friendly service. For the rest of EVO team I recommend taking pointers from Mati or Scotty depending what area you work in. read more

What a cool place! I'm new to snowboarding and came in to Evo last week to get gear for my new ikon pass. I knew nothing. Thank you to Aron for helping me out so much along the way. I'm now hooked and will be spending my money here buying all the cool snowboard gear. I am new to Colorado and am learning snowboarding but the guy who helped me out went above and beyond to not make me feel stupid and educated me on how to pick out my gear and good points for while out on the mountain. Thank you so much dude for getting me started and just want to say if your new to snowboarding come to evo they will hook you up and they have great friendly people to help you pick out what you need. Went into their Denver location to get fitted for and buy ski boots, and Jerry helped us find the perfect boots. He was informative and answered our many questions. Upgrading my original review. I've had enough ski boot experience to know that no matter how well they fit and feel in the store, they will need some adjustments after they've been used. I went back four times to make minor yet critical improvements. The boot fitters were all very helpful and listened to my ideas. Then improved the fit by adding a pad here & there (under the liner, around my ankles, at the break of the tongue). When I bent one of the buckles, they ordered a new one and shipped it to my home (easy repair). read more

I needed a last minute wax and sharpen on my skis. Called Evo, talked to a friendly fellow who double checked and make sure that they could indeed get my skis in for same-day wax and sharpen. I brought them to the new service shop directly behind the retail shop on Lincoln. It turns out, as the shop guy told me, that there's a $30 surcharge on a "rush job". I decided I didn't need it done that bad, but the Evo guy was cool enough to not pressure me at all and, in fact, gave me a quick hot wax for free. For what I needed I would give it five stars, but since I did not get to take advantage of the full range of what evo has to offer giving four stars for now. I needed a lock system to lock up my commuter bike securely, given that I am increasingly biking to meetings, shopping, meals, etc., and cannot avoid locking my bike up. They were helpful on the phone and in the shop. Got exactly what I needed. I like the fact that it is a full service bike shop with sales, service and parts - as well as a snow sports shop, and even has some camping/outdoor gear. Went back and I am still a bit confused on If appointments are needed to have a snowboard serviced. I asked if my board could be adjusted to 12 degrees and -12 degrees so I could ride switch and my board was adjusted to where my front foot was inverted. Def didn't realize till I was in a lift line and I could barely walk w however it was done - had to get it redone since it was so off. (I won't be going back for equipment servicing). I do enjoy their clothing selection and gear. Also wish I'd known more about the Felix step-ons I bought there and how to take them on / off. They def got compromised after one season - a seam busted on the toe and I was told nothing can be done about it. It would have been nice upon buying them that Evo does boot adjusting after you've used them. It made a world of dif having them adjusted the second time. I just learned snowboarding in 2020 and maybe that's why my experience was challenging w buying all of my bew gear at Evo. Not having servicing, boot fitting, bindings etc explained. read more

Completely amazed at how the staff all bent over backwards to help me out. I was only in town for an afternoon, didn't know I was supposed to make an appointment but they worked hard to fit me in and stayed a few minutes late to make sure the boots I bought were properly heated and fit. Good selection of AT gear, I'm a tele skier considering going to training heels and knew nothing about AT boots. Got a great education as well as fit on problem feet. Boots I ended up with were on sale so great value. Shout out to Brad who has infinite patience, deep knowledge, ability to understand what his customer needs even when she doesn't, and a sense of humor. Made the trek from Boulder to evo Denver as they have really good deals on new skis and you can order ahead online. I ordered skis, poles and bindings online for pickup in store. It took about a week for my items to arrive in store. The store itself is really large and in cap hill area. Parking was a bit annoying but that's cap hill for ya. What really made my whole experience great was the service I received from Angela, who helped me with my order. She bent over backwards to make sure I had a good experience. She really understands the concept of great customer service, which is hard to come by these days. Came to evo for the good prices, will return for the good service! read more

Evo is like the vail resorts of ski stores!!!! I had an issue with my bindings so I asked them to replace a part. I even payed them to "test" my bindings. When I clipped in there was a big gap between my foot and binding, it was not probably installed. I could wiggle my foot around I brought it back to the store and they said they could not do anything bc there was no record of the payment!
