I found BikeSauce online and checked their website (where their hours & available services during COVID are most up-to-date). Wait times can be long given COVID + summer time + the org being volunteer run. The volunteer I got (Jimmy) was super helpful, I was able to drop off my bike as it was an easy fix and come back in 40 minutes for pick-up. I was still experiencing some issues after a quick test ride so came back and did a bit further troubleshooting. I appreciate that Jimmy explained what my bike's issues were so that I could be aware of them in the future. There was a bike mount outside where another volunteer seemed to be actively collaborating with someone on a chain fix. So happy I can get back to biking now!

I used to take my bike to Sportchek because it was close by but I wasnt sure how much the young man…read moretruly new about bikes with the responses I was getting to my questions. I decided to find a true bike shop and had heard mixed reviews about some of the other local bike shops in Scarborough so I decided to do some research online and came across the Broom Wagon. I was impressed right off the bat as the store was immaculate with a great selection of bikes and accessories. I also met Marty who I believe owns the shop. He was knowledgeable, patient and offered a few tips that I could use in the future. Best of all, they werent trying to talk me into buying a million things that I didnt need and the final bill was much cheaper than the original estimate. Im glad I've found a bike shop that I can trust. I had two flat tires and because it was in storage, needed a bit of a tune up. I dropped the bike off on a Tuesday, and although he said it should be ready by the next day, I wasnt able to return until Thursday. On the way out, I received a free Toronto Cycle Paths Map and I was on my way. Only thing to consider is that if you go after 4pm, you cant park on their side of the street however across the street is fine. Thanks again Marty! My bike now rides like a dream!!
