He even took us to the car rental place but it was closed.This very kind guy took us home still towing our car which was very smashed up. He not only allowed us to unpack our car but he called a car rental for us and arranged a rental for us before taking our car with him for the last time. So Mel, a very personable and friendly tow truck driver shows up with the perfect old-school style (although a newer model and very clean) short tow truck and knew exactly what he was doing - no questions asked! He took his time to make sure everything was hooked up properly and safe, and once we got to my mechanics place (who's business and car bays were literally in a very narrow alleyway with very little wiggle room to drop any vehicle let alone a van), Mel worked some magic maneuvers and got my van dropped perfectly in front of my mechanics bay doors. Tow companies need more guys like Mel who clearly enjoy their profession, are good at it, and care about their customers. Arthur previously worked at CAA, so he knows his roadside assistance and goes over and beyond what CAA would do. I now have a new 3 year warranty battery, installed at my place in about 10 minutes. More importantly, the tow driver, Shane who arrived at…read moremy condo garage went out of his way to tow my car out, a feat that I didn't think was even possible because there are two levels of circular ramp in my garage with low clearance. Due to the angle of the garage and ramp, Shane had to think hard and pushed my car for me to set it in the right angle for the tow. Going up the circular ramp, he demonstrated his experience and skills, utilitising every inch of the tight space to pull it up. This man has done of lot of condos and underground parking and his experience and judgement shows. JP was upfront about their charges and there was no hidden cost. Shane's experience was invaluable and friendly man as I joined him on the ride.
