Features didn't work after initial repair and had to return macbook to have them fix simple yet overlooked basic functions that had nothing to do with main repair and didn't get fixed right the first time. I wanted to like this place, but my experience with them was not actually pleasant. My Mac was covered by Apple for keyboard replacement program but they refused to do it free of charge, with a price tag of $380 saying my model is ineligible. However, it turns out actually my Mac is covered and it was confirmed by Apple. I asked about this contradiction but they kept saying, "we don't know, but yours is ineligible". I felt very doubtful about their professionalism. I asked Apple Customer service about this issue and they agreed to send me a box for free repair. They also refused to refund $40 inspection fee, which once they agreed to waive if it was found to be included in the free replacement program on the day when I left my laptop. When I came for return, they changed their words and other technician come out and said, "we don't waive inspection fee, it is not covered by Apple whatever the case". What a betrayal. I felt their attitude was unprofessional and unorganized. I felt it was just a waste of money and time, but one clear lesson was that probably it's better to just go directly with Apple or you might end up with a huge bill with non refundable inspection fee. Having something go wrong with your computer is never fun, but luckily Everything Mac was able to fix everything quickly. I just purchased the newest MacBook Pro in July of 2018 for law school, and come October, I began experiencing the dreaded keyboard issue. I was able to make an appointment quickly and they were able to check it out the same day. The customer service was great and the lady ordered a replacement keyboard for me. She had it overnighted and I was able to drop off my MacBook the next day. She fixed it up within an hour and it's just like new. Hopefully there are no further manufacturing defects that arise, but if they do, I will be seeking their services again. read more

Don't go here! Apple sent me here even though I have Apple care. The girl who took my computer said that it was water damage before even looking at it. She then never called back and waited for me to call after waiting 3 days. She said that it was not under warranty and I could pay $180 for them to try to clean it. I said no. I'm very happy with the service here. Was on vacation visiting my mother and needed to replace my batterie. Everywhere I checked back home in Virginia was days to get it done. They had it done in an hour!!! Very polite staff, explained everything I needed to do to phone before I dropped it off. They even said it would be three hours. Avoid at all costs. My computer experienced water damage and I immediately took it in to get cleaned/serviced, as advised by Apple, since Everything Mac is Apple certified. This means nothing in terms of the quality of their customer service or care. The communication was 1/5, the technician could not properly relay to me what was going on, what my options were, how long it would take, NOTHING. There was a total lack of clarity in what service I was paying for/committing to once they took it to be cleaned of the water damage. I wanted them to run the diagnostic once it was cleaned to let me know what needed to be service, but this proved to be a very difficult task. There was a lot of variation in the price if I agreed to do a certain service or not, ect. and the tech honestly could not answer any of my questions In the end, after calling them for a status update (when they promised they'd call me with an updated) the entire hard drive needed replacement. Because this was such a steep cost, I decided to pick up my computer and think about it, and they advised I purchase an external hard drive for a cheaper fix. A few weeks later, I was able to take my computer into Apple to get a second opinion. They could not believe my computer has been cleaned, and the tech's there said that the job was done incorrectly by Everything Mac, and multiple times was told I should get a refund. Even if I had purchased an external hard drive, this would not have fixed the issue long term because the water damage persisted past the cleaning and the entire computer was doomed. Everything Mac denied the refund. Do not trust these people if you want Apple Certified grade work. It's not worth it. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Had a screen issue with my iphone7 (ghost touching/unresponsive screen) went there and they charged me $25 for a diagnostic that took 2 hours. When I came back, they said that the problem was with my home button and that I needed a new screen, which would come out to be over $150. However, my home button was working just fine when I brought it to them, but was somehow broken after they had it for 2 hours... shady! After calling Best Buy, I learned that any "apple authorized" places do not charge $25 for a diagnostic and that a screen repair would be $130... not $150+. Basically this place is a complete scam and will break your device more than it already is so that you have to pay a ton of money to get it fixed. Don't waste your time or money and just bring your device to an Apple store or Best Buy. Would've given 0 stars if possible... read more

Perhaps it was a bit pricey, but I got my result... a new fan... I was traveling, so I received 'while you wait' service (only took 30 min). Why only four stars? The business center and surrounding businesses were very hostile to me. The local Physical therapist berated me for parking in front of his shop... so I moved my car. Little did I know that I was walking out of the frying pan and into the fire... I parked in front of the local tattoo parlor (the rest of the parking lot was full). After my repair, I had a few conference calls to run, so I stayed in my car to run the calls, using my iPad to take notes. After 1.5 hours, I was harassed by the owner(?) of the parlor... basically explained to me that it was 'creepy' that I was in the parking lot. I asked him if he wanted me to move, and then did so (I stayed in the lot, but moved away from in front of his business). 5 minutes later, they called the cops and proceeded to tell them that I had been there all day. The cops were just doing their job, trying to resolve the situation... unfortunately their way of doing that was to read me the riot act and tell me to leave (which I quickly did!). Three stars for competency, but that's about it. Summary of my experience: 1) Apple Certification is clearly effective, as he diagnosed my problem in no more than fifteen minutes 2) LOTS of unnecessary up-charges to dispute Elaboration: 1) I was worried my macbook pro's logic board was fried because of a black screen on boot-up (on internal and external displays), while the computer ran as normal in the background. I did my research and reset the PRAM, checked inside for water damage, and a few other things to no avail. I got a call shortly after dropping the computer off saying that my cables needed to be "receded" and they could fix it for $120 - which brings me to the meat of my post - 2) I was specifically paying for a diagnosis. So when they offered to fix my computer for $120, I had to press harder than I was comfortable with to find out what the problem was. The receptionist told me that four things would be done for that price: 1) the cables would be "receded," 2) they would reset the PRAM, 3) they would install an antivirus program for me, and 4) they would repair my harddrive. I'm sorry, but WHAT? Cables being receded means that I had a loose display cable - thank you for that diagnosis. But resetting the PRAM? I watched the receptionist press [option + command + P + R] immediately upon drop off, and you want me to pay $120 for that when it wasn't even the problem? I asked what antivirus program that he was trying to charge for installation on my mac: Soho Antivirus - a FREE program. And to "repair" my hard drive that's not even broken? Maybe they meant my permissions, but I didn't even ask, because it was just silliness. (They lastly tried to upsell me a battery - which is broken, granted - by increasing the total from $120 to $330. BATTERIES DO NOT COST $210 PLUS SHIPPING.) Thankfully, he didn't push for the $120 when I said I would just take the "cables need receding" diagnosis for $40, but I was prepared to ask him to put things back to how they were so I could open it up and re-plug the thing in myself. I probably will not be returning, as my experience here was entirely too awkward. That, and I have no idea if they'll be charging me in the future for something legitimate or something ridiculous. All in all, it felt like a bunch of smoke and mirrors - so, reader, do your research before-hand and be very careful about what you're paying for if you decide to come here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My laptop was not holding a charge so I took it here. They called me in an hour and I was quoted $288. I said no I was not interested in getting it fixed since it was only a backup laptop so I did not need it done. They called back 10 minutes later and mysteriously dropped the price to $188. I said no again and I picked up my laptop. I went back home to South Florida and took it to an actual Apple store and got it checked. The Apple Store said it would only be $88 to fix my laptop. I would pick 0 stars if that were an option. To start, they quoted me 2-3 hours for a diagnosis of the problem. I left my laptop expecting to have it back by the end of the day so I could make a decision about buying a new one. As a student even a couple days without a laptop is difficult. They closed and didn't let me know anything. I called around 11 the next day and they still had not looked at it. It was ready another few hours later. They said my hard drive was failing and they quoted about $250 to get it replaced and another $160 to recover the data. I took it home, used an external drive to hook it up to another laptop and it worked just fine. The hard drive is perfectly fine with all of my data. Turns out the only problem was the cable that connects the hard drive. I replaced that myself for $15. If I hadn't checked things out myself this place would have had me spend $410 to fix the wrong problem. read more

I went here because of the other good reviews. My computer was running slow and I couldn't take screenshots or open Finder, so I decided Everything Mac. If you get a diagnosis and don't decide to do repairs, it's $40. If you get a diagnosis and decide to do the repairs there, it's free, not counting the cost of the repairs. They first quoted me $280 for basically a software tune up, which I wasn't happy about. (At Apple Care, I had a trackpad battery replaced, and my screen fixed, along with a tune up for $300.) I didn't have to get any parts replaced, so they were basically charging me $280 for labor. I then called back and told them not to do the repairs and that I would just pay the $40 diagnosis fee, and it wasn't until then they decided to drop the price to $180. My computer works fine now and I have the latest software, which is good, but I'm very unhappy about how they high-balled the price. In a way, I thought they were just taking advantage of me because I was a female college student. read more

In my opinion they are not dependable and highly over priced: Their website hours stated they were open till five. When I called to pick up my computer, which they said I needed a new logic board and would cost me $900.00 to fix, they told me they were closed already...at 3:00pm. Good thing I called as I live an hour away! I asked if there was any way someone could meet me as I just needed to pick it up. (I was not going to have them fix it.) They said no and then told me I should have it fixed as it would be like getting a new computer or else I would have to pay a $40.00 diagnostic fee. They were not scoring points with me at all. One: my Mac laptop computer is four years old. Two: $900.00 dollars is just shy of a brand new computer with all new parts. So I told them yes I know...I promptly sent them an email via their website that I would not be giving them anymore of my business and they should change their store hours if they indeed were not going to be open till 5:00pm as this was the second time they in the week they closed at 3:00pm. I then received a phone call an hour later saying someone was in the office and I could come pick it up if I wanted...really? I decided to go to the apple store the next day and see what my options were. They told me they would fix my logic board for between $300-$400.00! I blinked and said is that labor included?! She said YES! I was shocked! She went on to say if I wanted to get a new computer I could recycle my old one and they would do the data retrieval for free where Everything Mac wanted $120.00 to preform this task. When I finally picked up my computer, before 3:00pm as they would be closed again at 3:00pm, I questioned the seemingly college aged girl who was helping me all that week as to why they were $500.00 to $600.00 off from the Apple store's quote? She said and I quote, "Oh they have a program where they send away your computer to fix it where we fix it and get it back to you the next day"...I stared at her dumbfounded...Not once did she offer that they could fix it at a lower rate. Nor did I ever state I needed it back the next day, nevermind the fact that it seems, in my opinion, crooked to repair ones computer at an inflated price knowing Mac does it for significantly less! I took my computer and promptly call a competitor who was only a few miles down the road from them and they quoted me $680.00 to fix my issue. None the less still WAY OFF from Apple's quote, but still $220.00 below their $900.00 quote. Bottom line go to the Apple store first then get quotes otherwise! Save your time and money! Not recommended. Highly over priced and now my MacPro isn't usable at all. Waiting for real service on my next trip back to Asheville. We went to pick it up and sat in a public waiting area of an office suite for at least 30 minutes. Finally got it home and it needed to go back. Home again and still not working as it should. Noticed a little chip on the lower left corner. Then it started giving me a buzz when I touched it when plugged in. Now it just doesn't work at all. Frozen. Called Everything Mac. They said bring it back. We did and they wanted $45.00 just to look at it. After paying $160.00 for initial cleanup I chose no more Everything Mac. They said because it was more than 30 days since the initial work was done. We were out of town for one those weeks. They keep saying it needs a new hard drive. read more
