I had to call myself to confirm, only to find out that Tisha had resigned and my appointment couldn't happen. No call, no email, no effort to notify me. Since then, I have made multiple attempts to contact the clinic, and not once has anyone returned my calls. Instead of fixing the problem or honoring the service I already paid for, staff keep trying to upsell me on other services. That is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I paid in full for laser treatments--not for excuses or sales pitches. This is extremely poor management and unacceptable customer service. If you cannot deliver the services you advertise and take full payment for, you should not be operating this way. Management needs to take accountability immediately. I just happened to be scrolling through my Yelp app looking for salons nearby and Penzone jumped out at me because this location has been there forever. I've also had my hair cut at one of their other locations forever ago and when I looked at their availability, they had an appointment the very next day at 5pm. I didn't even care who the stylist was, I just needed it done. I arrived right on time, checked in, and grabbed a beverage while I waited. It wasn't long before I was greeted by my stylist, Sage. She was easy to talk to, listened to what I wanted, and gave good advice and direction when I was tempted to do something I wasn't planning on doing. I knew exactly what I wanted, as I was looking to get the same cut I did last summer. Your basic long bob, about collar bone length. We did the washing and cutting and drying and cutting again and I was out of there in about an hour and a half. I had a friend in town and we decided to get pedicures together. After a quick browse on Yelp, I came across Thyme in Grandview. They are fairly new, only opened about a year and half ago, and you can find them in the new development right off of 670 on Dublin Rd. I gave them a call and they were able to fit us both in a few hours later... mind you this was a Friday morning. When we got there we were totally taken back by how big and gorgeous the salon is. Everything is pristine! From the chandeliers and the blue lighting on the ceiling to the massage chairs and nail display, they couldn't have done a better job. We both got just your basic pedicure, but with gel. It came out to about $70 for each of us, not too bad. I love how big their color selection is, way more than what was available at my previous spot. The staff was also very accommodating and did a lovely job. I have no doubt I'll be back!
