She gave me the best shampoo/condition of my life. Her hands are absolute magic. I have a Drybar membership and get blow outs regularly and I have never had such a magical scalp massage. I used to only trust one person to cut my hair for 14 years. Now that haircuts cost an arm and a leg where I live, I'm always in search for a reasonably priced haircut when I'm traveling. Gretchen, should charge more!!! I'm not sure if it's the premium products this salon uses or Gretchen's magic but I've never had a blow out last this long! When I went back recently, it wasn't as great of an experience. The girl who cut my hair was friendly but my haircut was uneven. I caught that some of it was uneven in the back and she fixed it but then when I got home and curled my own hair (because it wasn't styled there) I realized that the two sides were uneven and the back too. With the uneven hair, I tried to call the salon before I had to leave to go out of time but calls went straight to a voicemail and they weren't very timely in calling me back. Update: They responded to my comment on their booking site and said the manager would be reaching out, but there has been no contact. If I didn't handle getting my hair fixed elsewhere, I would be even more disappointed.

Check in was very fast. I waited less than 2 minutes for Zoe. At reception, they have a pretty wide selection of hair products for sale. The salon was set up nicely and was clean. Although they were busy it didn't seem too loud so that I felt I was able to communicate with Zoe about what I wanted without a ton of distraction going on. She was was very friendly and efficient. She was talkative but not gossipy. She gave me exactly what I asked for and edited the cut where I asked with ease. If there were any criticism to be made it would be that I wasn't recommend any products or informed of what was being used. But that may be a plus for you if you don't like feeling you're being "up sold" during your visit. Another was that this salon offers levels of experience with their different stylists at varying price points. I found this out through their website. Reception didn't inform me of this when I made my appointment. Checkout was fast as well. Although they do take credit/debit cards you can not attach the tip to your payment for service.
