Sweat 716 is a pretty accurate name for this business, I was sweating a lot in Buffalo that evening taking their Boy Band Barre class. $18 for a drop in class seemed kind of pricey, but doing a Barre class has been on my list of things to do, so I thought what the hell! Pros - Girl power! Lots of energy and all body types welcome. Also the decor- very inspiring and motivating . The music was full of energy (and 90s pop) . I did work up a sweat as mentioned ! Cons- price! (we went over that ) Also , there were easily 20 ladies (if not more) packed in this tiny studio . Respect the high demand, but it made the room stuffy and there is nothing worse than a sweaty butt in your face . Also , and I could be mistaken, but I thought barre class involved a bar where you balanced, did legs lifts , squats , etc working smaller muscles. We did work some of those target areas I saw on videos online , but no bar in the studio was being used. It was more mat work that ended up really bothering my knees. The question is would I attend again ? Maybe, but only if they were offering a special for a beginner friendly class. But for those advanced students looking for a challenge -this is all you!

AAA+ BOOTCAMP class Includes working out the abs, arms, and booty.

The best classes with a great vibe. The workout classes that I've taken include: HIIT, barre and Pilates, spin, and TRX. Would recommend any class for a good workout! They also include a class just for stretching. Who wouldn't need that? 10/10.

I never liked going to the gym and couldn't push myself and that's why I decided to start taking classes. This is when I found EveryBODY+ and my life has seriously changed for the better. This studio offers so so many classes that anyone can find something that makes them happy. I have NEVER had a bad class or a bad instructor here. It is affordable and truly the most positive and supportive environment for anybody or anyone. The owner, Cristy, makes everyone feel so welcomed and loved. The studio is two floors and offers pole classes, barre, pilates, spin, step and so much more. I have been coming here for two months and have seen not only a difference in my physique but also my mind body connection, and mental health. I truly cannot recommend this studio enough. Inclusive, effective and truly a one of a kind experience.

This deserves more Stars but I was worried it'd be flagged as fake. I afore Everybody Plus. The staff is courteous and friendly. They take the time to learn about you as a person and share in your enthusiasm as you work on your fitness journey. Not only do they provide classes that kick your ass, they also have Mindful Mobility which really just gets you into a peaceful state while you stretch; leads to total relaxation! 15/10 would absolutely recommend to friends and family and I have!!!

The wall between the workout area and the lounge area has a cool etching!

This is a great fitness studio right on Swan Street in downtown Buffalo. (It's just past Black Button Distilling, which I love.) There isn't a separate parking lot but you can park in front of the building, on the street, or further down the road, just past Michigan, on the street. I took a Ratchet Step n Sweat class with Amanda P at 5:15pm last night and Spinsta Famous class with Cristy at 6:00pm last night. I haven't taken the step class before. It was tough but great. It incorporated many different types of moves. The ab ones were the toughest for me. The spin class with Cristy was really tough but fun. I've taken spin there before but not with her. She's very encouraging. On Wednesday May 29, I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games class with MJ. It's a barre class. She's the owner. It was tough and challenging. On Saturday April 20 at 8:00am I took a Scared HIIT-less class with Amanda P. She's my favorite teacher there. She's so enthusiastic and makes me want to try harder and come back for more classes. On Sunday March 31, I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games (barre) class with Amanda B at 9:30am. It was tough but fun. On the same day at 10:30am, I took a Spin-sta Famous class with her. The spin class was great. On Saturday March 2 I took an Ain't Plié-in No Games (barre) class with Amanda P. On Tuesday February 26, I took a Spin-sta Famous (spin) class with Anna F. On Friday February 22, I took a steel mace and kettlebell class with Judy. It was part of their grand reopening. That class was free. They had champagne, fruit trays, veggie trays, and other healthy foods for their attendees. I was able to look up my past classes on the MINDBODY app. That's how you book your classes. It's prepay only. They offer packages, if you want to but more than one or two classes. It ends up saving you money in the long run. The gym looks really cool. They have a nice fitness studio and an upper area where you can workout too. They have a lounge area with a couch with fun pillow on it, water, and a tv. Just past that area is the hallway where the locker room is just to the right. It has a separate male and female bathroom, lockers, and I think a shower too. Straight ahead, just to the left of the locker room, is where their massage therapist works. To the left of that door is a water fountain and a door where people who live in the apartments between Black Button Distilling and Sweat 716 work out. When my busy schedule allow it, I'll definitely be back for more classes. Each class is tough but fun and interesting. Each instructor is quite motivating and brings a lot of zest to each class.

I've heard about the Himalayan Institute for a while, but finally took the plunge and signed up for a 6-week long class series of their "Level II" yoga classes last night. The Himalayan Institute is a wonderful 501(3)c non-profit that offers yoga classes, workshops, lectures, etc inside their elegant mansion on Delaware Ave. When you stop in, you feel like you're inside a cozy home. There's a place to take off your shoes and an immediate bookstore to your left. Further down, there's the main living room where classes take place. It helps to take a class that has 10-12 people and not too much more as the room can get pretty crowded with 16+ people or so I hear. Here's what stands out about the Himalayan Institute: their yoga classes generally center around a meditation-practice. As a result, I feel incredibly relaxed and focused afterward. As opposed to some classes (such as Evolation), where I sweat like I'm inside some Finnish bathhouse and leave the class with more of an exercise high. With most classes, you have to sign up for a full 6-week commitment (usually $80), although they do offer drop-in classes on Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm for beginners ($5) and on Saturdays (9:30-11am) for a more intermediate ($10) practice. In summary, I adore their meditative approach, yoga teachers as well as the novelty of practicing yoga inside a cozy old mansion. Unfortunately, there are no accessible showers in the facility, but there is a bathroom where you can change.

I started to feel my age, lots of aches and pains. For some reason, this March I decided to purchase an introductory pass to I am Yoga - a studio I had had my eye on for a while, wanting to try 26 & 2 style yoga. Just shy of 4 months later, I can't get enough of this studio or this style of yoga. The studio itself is very nice - I enjoy the setting in the Williamsville village, there is plenty of room to navigate entrances and exits and they have a nice locker room. The hot yoga room is large and comfortable - never feels crowded despite good attendance. You can either choose a dark corner to really settle inward or put yourself near a sunny window. Everyone is very friendly and low key - you never feel any pressure of any kind. The yoga is HOT, but I love that. I know it's not for everyone. I was surprised how much I like the regularity of the 26 & 2 sequence - strangely I never get bored as there just seems to be an infinite journey in each move - hard to explain. I can't believe how much I have strengthened - old injuries (knee surgeries) seem to be healing, aches and pains disappearing, feeling younger and with increased body positivity. The best result is in the area of mental health - my anxiety is much better. This style of yoga I find very meditative. Teachers are great - I take most of the classes from Madeline, but they're all great - they transmit the traditional dialogue, but oddly it never feels scripted. I LOVE that they have 6am classes - really a game changer for getting me there as I have trouble making it after work. I enjoy the Forrest Flow class on Tuesday nights but have trouble getting there regularly. Another factor - the participants are very diverse - from age, to gender, to "ability" level, everybody can be on their own journey, but together! Highly recommend trying out this studio!

Yoga changed my life and I'm happy to say that my journey started in this studio…read more If this is your first time I have some recommendations for you: 1) Everyone is different, but I suggest not eating anything two hours prior class (just to avoid felling sick while in class). They offer 60, 75 and 90 min classes. If feeling uncertain about hot yoga go for the 60 min class and work your body to the 90 min. They also do a 5$ Friday class, just in case you want to try the practice without breaking the bank. 2) On your first day, come early there is a waiver to sign (I think you can also do it online). You'll need a mat and towel, you can borrow them for the first class. On the following class they can be rented. Also there are separate locker rooms for males and females. Inside there is a place for storing clothes, a shower and bathroom. 3) Make sure to bring water into the hot room. I typically bring a 1L bottle of cold water (not frozen). If you forget, bottles of water can be purchased at the studio. 4) Get yourself sometime to settle. I like to get inside the hot room 5-10min before class. Just to get my body use to the heat. If you are not sure about how to do some of the posses I would recommend staying at the back of the room and look upon others. ***Brikram is taught without the instructor making the poses. 5) Don't overdo the postures. Learn to understand your body and give yourself some time to get there. It might take you, weeks, months or years to fully do a pose and that is okay. Go at your own pace. 6) Don't hold your breath. When I started, I used to hold my breath in during certain poses and that made me dizzy halfway through the class. If that happens, lay on your mat (death body pose), take deep breaths until you feel better. Try not to go outside, unless is absolutely necessary. It is very distracting and disrespectful to your classmates. 7) Take advantage of their intro special (39$ for one month of unlimited classes). The first couple of days are tough but within a month you will start to feel and see how your body changes. Lastly, I read previous comments about the smell in the studio. I'm happy to report that the old stinky carpet was changed last year. The new wood flooring looks great and the studio nowadays smells like lavender.

Feel free to bring your own yoga mat but they got you covered if you forget it. Also LIM supplies each class with yoga accessories to use at your liking (think: block, blanket). The space is super chill with yoga instructors who know what they are doing but also won't judge you if you don't know what in the world a Savasana or an Asana is ( yes I just googled those terms). I really enjoy my cardio but it is good to take a moment to just be and chill. LIM definitely sets the bar for allowing you to take some time and reflect while focusing on challenging moves. If you like yoga this is DEFF the place for you. If you're like me and feel hesitant to go because you like your spinning, running, HITT, or whatever it may be - JUST GO anyway - taking 1 day out of your week to break from the norm and really focus inward makes a difference. At least for me anyway. Class times vary check the website for specific times. Also they periodically offer classes and workshops that target specific interests to enhance your practice.
