I had signed up and the girl I'm sorry I don't know her name that signed me up was very helpful and knowledgeable. I bought a package and I've gone a couple times but today was an experience that was a very Amazing experience. The two girls Ashley and Jenna were working behind the counter. I really liked this location. I came to try their 7 day tanning trial, and all the staff there were very friendly. I ended up cancelling my membership after the trial and no one gave me a hard time. I have seen the staff improve tremendously over the last 6 months! All of the girls are so friendly and helpful! The staff gets 5 stars! As far as staff - this is my favorite Santee ITan location!! Now the building itself, it needs a little help. It's HOT! I know there's a massive heat load because of the beds (I work for an AC company on the commercial side, so I know what I'm talking about). Put the tint back on the windows at least, that would help tremendously!!! I know there's always issues with the landlord wanting to pay for upsizing the AC equipment and yada.. but a much cheaper solution is really to have the windows re-tinted, so they staff and the customers are comfortable and not hesitant to go there because it's so uncomfortable. read more

I believe this Itan has been opened less than 1 year. They have high tech tanning beds and walk-in booths. Very nice. Wish la mesa Itan would purchased some new booths and beds. One of their booths you need to walk outside to dry your spray tan. Very disappointed and some of the buttons on their beds you can not see which button is for what. But hopefully the owner will see this review and step up and get new equipment. read more

Came in last November, interested in tanning again and met with Kali. Wow, when it comes to customer service she deserves an award. She has a wealth of knowledge and her sweet personality is definitely a plus. She describes each and every service they offer with clear facts and information. To this day, she offers advice, when asked and goes out of her way to genuinely accommodate her clients. Personally, I was going back and forth on lotions And again, she described the difference and found the perfect one for me while I was in my session. I love this iTAN! The girls are so nice and knowledgeable on the products and services offered. Heather signed me up last week and she gave me a tour and explained what each machine was and what it helps with. They of course offer tanning services and spray tan but they also have spa services which is great when you are preparing for a special event or you just want to feel good on a Wednesday. Every time I come in I'm greeted with a warm welcome and smile and I'm remembered by name. The girls that work here are so sweet, I can't say that enough. Don't trust these people with taking money out of your account for services NEVER rendered. I have been a member off and on for the last 5 years. I recently moved to North Carolina. Before I moved I went in to close my account. That same month they charged me again and an additional $5 for lotion. I called to remind them that I had moved and that they owe me for that month plus $5. Instead of doing the right thing and giving me my money back, they gave me a CREDIT to be used next time I was in San Diego. I told them that I wouldn't ever be able to use the credit but they convinced me to accept the offer. They should of RETURNED my money, that would of been the right thing to do especially since it was their fault to had taken my money in the first place. Poor business practices on their part. Unfortunately, I need to freeze my account due to COVID and a very tight budget. I forgot to continue my freeze this month as it ended, and my account was charged $65 (rightfully...my fault). Anyway, I went in today and Christian and Kaia were extremely professional, friendly, and helpful. Christian gave me a credit to my account. Even though it was MY FAULT, I still received a credit and then directions to make sure that it doesn't happen again. I went in planning to cancel my account altogether, but Kaia and Christian were so understanding and friendly that I decided to keep my account. I am definitely impressed with the service that I received, and I am now a life-long customer (just froze my account until "times get better"). Thank you Christian and Kaia!! I had no idea about all the amazing spa services they offer and not only did we get the perfect color for our special day but we got teeth whitening, body slimming, cellulite reduction and skin hydration, and anti-aging technology for skin tone and wrinkles. We truly noticed a difference from their spa right away and gifted these services to our best friends who just got married this month! I have never delt with such an unprofessional business as iTan. Not only do they disrespect their customers but they gouge them any way they can. They took money out of my account after I was told I would have to physically come into the building to restart my monthly tanning because I did not have the money at the time to renew my tanning. They randomly continued to try and get my card to go through and one day it did after I received my first disability check. I have MS and needed that money for my medicine co pay. Well they denied refunding my money and gave me store credit. REALLY. I'm wondering how that is going to help my MS. Very poor business and even more so they don't care about people. Just the MONEY. I have been going to itan since 2019 and have had nothing but positive experiences. until thus year. Megan signed me up and sold me on a package that was more than what I needed but that was fine and when I came in on my La August 31 for my last day to tan red light therapy I remembered that I needed to cancel for I will be living in Dallas and traveling for work (flight attendant) the next 6 months. Megan wanted me to freeze it but I wanted to cancel for now and she wasn't happy with me. After finishing with the process i said that I wanted to tan and she said Sorry you canceled you can't use our services any longer if you had froze your membership you could have tanned. She was very rude and mad. I have canceled my membership days before and still used the services until my last day of the paid month. Megan was the only employee who was rude on multiple occasions but all of the employees were always helpful and professional!
