I work in the medical field and from what I understand results should last 6 months and my results were minimal and lasted not even a month. I'm giving this place a one-star rating because I came in requesting "baby botox," which typically involves a small number of units. I'm relatively young and usually receive around 10 to 20 units at most. While the lady who was doing my botox was friendly, but now I look back on it, I feel like she was trying to distract me from the amount she was injecting into my face. To my surprise, I left with 60 units in my face and a $600 bill. Sketchy business and untrustworthy employees. I won't be returning to this facility. I moved and found EC Medical because it is super close to my work. I have been blessed with RBF and I get headaches from squinting in any bit of sunlight and found stopping the frowning helps my headaches tremendously. Unfortunately, the salon I used to go to offered a product that EC Medical does not carry. Dawn had me give Botox another try. I seem to be the freak 1% (ginger too) that Botox doesn't work for. Dawn tried several times with touch ups to see if we can get it to work. They never made me feel bad for coming back and Dawn and the staff are very welcoming. After several attempts Dawn decided to have me try PDO threading. They stayed after hours to help me work around my work schedule. I hope this new treatment works as I love Dawn and the staff and wouldn't want to go anywhere else! read more

I also bought the groupon for 6 laser hair removal treatments. I should have known better when I called to make my appointment I could not get an appointment until 3 weeks out and the receptionist was so rude I even called her out on it. She totally changed her attitude after. THEN.... I should have walked out at checkin. The young girl who checked me in was rude. She was probably the same girl who set up my appointment. Anyhow I showed up on time for my appointment and waited 45 minutes before being placed in a room where I was also told I needed 8 treatments to have a successful treatment. The nurse was nice and very professional. I forgot her name but if it were not for her being so nice I definitely would have asked Groupon for a refund. Also this place is not in the best neighborhood and there is only about 4-5 parking spots. Oh yeah and there is a fire station in front of the business . I bought a deal through Living Social that was for 2 IPL Photofacials at EC Medical Group. Seemed like a great deal; 2 for 99$. I had made an appointment and upon arriving, found that a LOT of people had appointments. So many, that there was standing room only in the small waiting room and I had to wait about 35-40 minutes after my scheduled time to get in to see a technician/beautician... The cleanliness of this establishment was sub-par. The restroom sink was dusty and additionally, there was dust on just about everything. For a 'beauty enhancement' business, this is unacceptable. After finally being sent to a room for my procedure, there was miscommunication between myself and one of the workers - she was trying to upsell me on a chemical peel immediately following my IPL to 'speed up the process'. I declined on that, but when the person performing the IPL came in, she mentioned that I was also getting a peel....Um....no. I mentioned also that I have sensitive skin and that I would like the lowest setting/frequency of the IPL machine to be used on my face. The technician seemed to make light of my anxiety about having the procedure and wasn't very sensitive at all about it. She did, however, give me a dollop of sunscreen for my face after the procedure. So, I guess she *was* more sensitive than I gave her credit for in two sentences ago... It burned. It made my face feel like bumpy sandpaper for about a week afterwards (yes, I moisturized like a mutha, too!). I will not be scheduling the 2nd appointment that I purchased. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this place if I were you. I purchased a groupon-type deal for 6 session of laser hair removal for my underarms. Once getting there, I decided to upgrade to 8 sessions and a reduce rate for "touch-ups". After completing my 8 sessions, I still have a moderate amount of underhair growing back and still have to shave!!!! I am not a really hairy person nor is my hair super coarse or thick (I have no relation to Bigfoot) so I was surprised by my lack of results. And I do think it's the lasers they use in the office. I have been getting hair removal done on my bikini line at a different office and it is virtually gone after my 8 sessions. It is RIDICULOUS trying to get an appointment at this place. They completely overbook so you will be waiting well past 15 minutes after your appointment time. Also if for any reason you have to reschedule your appointment, you will not be able to get seen within the 6-8 week window of your laser removal and that can throw off results. The only good thing about this place are the practitioners I have seen. They are all really nice and knowledgeable. I definitely won't go back- even for my "touch-ups". read more

I just had a vampire facelift with dermapen done yesterday and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The nurses Shannon and Dawn, as well as the entire staff were awesome. I am so excited that I found this place and can't wait to come back for one of the many other things I want done. I can't believe they have a two star rating either! Are people crazy? :) As far as the results of the procedure, I can't tell really yet. I'm still red, swollen and bruised. I'll update that part of the review later. I wanted to update my review a bit because I've been going to EC for about a year now for laser removal. I have honestly gotten good results. I barely have any hair in my underarm area anymore after about 5 treatments, my leg hair is significantly reduced as well after 3 treatments. I think where EC med is making a huge mistake is overbooking. They are trying to get as many people through the door as possible and the result of that is you end up having a long waiting room time. As a result they are pissing off a lot of customers. On one occasion my appointment was totally mis-scheduled but I do have to say they offered me a free chemical peel to make up for the inconvenience. I was happy with the results of that and plan on getting more. In addition, because they are over booking so many people off of online deals if you do have to reschedule an appointment you are probably going to wait a long time. Like 4-6 weeks out. The best part of this business is the technicians who do the procedures. I have always been impressed with how friendly and comforting they are during a procedure that can be painful at times. Of course I also treat THEM with respect and kindness as well. I know that if I had to wait a long time its not their fault. They are not the ones overbooking. I never noticed the place being unclean as many reviewers have pointed out. I always thought the place was kind of cute. Boutique like. Yes, there are not enough parking spaces, its a small little lot and you will probably have to park on the street or around the corner in another lot if they are busy which is always now. Yes the area isn't exactly posh but its certainly not dangerous by any means either. Bottom line, I'm getting results and the price is REALLY good so I'm willing to deal with the extra wait time and occasional chaos of the crowds. I'm very comfortable with the technicians who recognize and remember me when I come in for my treatments (they even remember previous chit chat we had months ago about my dog and boyfriend). This office is by far the cheapest and easiest way to get HCG injections. If you have the will power to do the 500 calorie a day diet come here for sure. This place is awesome! 5,000 times better than Laser Away!! The nurses were straight forward, honest and friendly to me. They told me that they cannot predict how many treatments it would take for a tattoo to be completely gone because it depends on the tattoo (i.e. age). EC Medical Group will only have their clients pay PER treatment at a time, not 10 treatments at once up front. Only once have they kept me waiting well over my schedule appointment time but they made it up with a 50% off discount towards my next appointment. Pros: Rock bottom prices for botox, very nice nurses, though they are really young. Easy location for me. Comped me laser hair sessions for a very late appointment once, which I appreciated. Good results from Botox and Laser Hair Removal. Cons: ALWAYS late to get me in. ALWAYS. Long lead time to get in--at least a month in advance. VERY cramped waiting room. Bruising a couple of times at injections sites. I figure I am getting what I paid for, but nothing else. Once my pre-paids are done, I will likely look elsewhere. Such an improvement! I went to EC Medical last summer to do the HCG weight loss program, which was great, I lost 15 pounds in just 6 weeks. The only negative reviews I had at the time was the poor customer service I received and long wait times. I recently decided to get Botox and was going to return to EC Medical because of their competitive pricing, but after reading the horrible reviews on Yelp, I actually canceled my appointment. The Spa Director encouraged me to come back and try EC Medical again and offered me free touch ups within 7 days if the Botox didn't take well for any reason. I am not aware of any medical spa that will do touch ups at no cost. I went to get my Botox last week and noticed an all new staff, which was refreshing. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. My Botox took great and I will be referring all my girlfriends here now, because of their extremely affordable pricing. I got a package of (2) areas of Botox for $249, which is only $125 per area, such a great deal. Most places charge per unit and always try and make you buy more units than you actually need. The negative reviews on Yelp are because of the poor customer service in 2012. EC Medical has made many great changes with an all NEW staff and their customer service is now amazing. I had a special request that I needed done in a short amount of time, and front desk staff member Jeanene not only remembered who I was buy also asked how the process was coming along. Update: I am updating my previous review I had posted 4 months ago! Yesterday I purchased a groupon and went in to redeem it. Claudia explains to me that the 82 dollar Groupon I had purchased was for 4 B12 shots and a meal plan! Immediately I was mad. I had already been on appetite suppressants elsewhere and lost 30 pounds, I don't need them to give me a 1300 calorie meal plan to destroy my progress. I explained that to her and she proceeds to tell me they can apply my 74 dollars of my groupon to the appetite suppressant and I have to pay the difference! Then she gives me a urine sample and charged me 25 bucks for that and 25 for the hotshot! By the time I left June asked me for 97 on top of the 82 groupon! I was fuming. They said they were speaking to the " manager" but no manager ever came out! I asked for a refund, she said I had to take it up with groupon! I was there for almost 2 hours trying to sort this mess out. BUYER ALERT! This place is a scam and very expensive! Read all the fine prints and be aware of what you are getting. I will NEVER return here EVER! Dr. Gonna- I never spoke with you once! I spoke with a medical assistant and June. You can say my card was declined but your machine was broken! This isn't going to be my final review as I have only had one appointment but I thought I should review my first experience while it's fresh. So I bought a groupon for 6 treatments of laser hair removal in a "medium area". They groupon was great and it was something I had been wanting to try for a while so I was pumped. I understand there was something wrong with one of their machines the day of my appointment but regardless, I waited an hour before being seen (and I was on time for my appointment). The technician herself was great, and I honestly didn't find it to be very painful. I'm not 100% sure she also covered my bikini line though which should have def been include in the brazilian (TMI? sorry!). Anyways, the place was clean, the wait sucked but my biggest complaint is that the first girl who brought me into the room immediately told me that there was no point in having 6 treatments and that I would need 8 for removal that would last. She explained that day only they were running a special that I could buy two more sessions with. I had done my research so I knew the number of treatments depended on a lot of other factors so I told her I wanted to have 3 or 4 treatments before I decided if I needed more. In my head I'm thinking I would rather pay a little more than potentially not even need those two more treatments. Her response was totally bitchy and she said something along the lines of "well it won't work with 6, just so you know". Just super rude and I don't really appreciate the hard sell after I had waiting an hour to even get out of the lobby. Even after being referred by a family member I looked up reviews about ec medical group and honestly was quite hesitant, everything I read was hit and miss. Well let me tell you something, I went ahead and made a phone call to sced a visit and boy was I surprised! Everyone from the gals on the phone to the back office staff was AMAZING. They didn't have any appointments available when I requested a next day but fit me in anyways on my lunch hour and told me they'd make it work ( I was even 15 min late due to a patient at my work running behind and they were so nice about it.) I've inly had my first appointment but will be seeing and working with then for the next 20 days and I'm very excited! The team there is super positive and encouraging. They took before photos so I will be able to see my progress after treatment and even told me if I wanted to I could come in everyday (inclusive of the price I already paid) to check in and monitor my progress. I can't say enough good things about my visit!!! Don't let the reviews fool you, go ahead and sced a complementary exam... (What do you have to loose, it's free) and see for yourself!
