Tim at QIR was the only one who got back to me promptly and made it easy to come by for an inspection. The office staff and techs I interacted with were all friendly and responsive. When it became apparent they did more for RVs that just fiberglass and painting, I gave them the whole litany for a quote. Even though they looked busy (lot and bays were full), they gave me their full attention. The biggest blessing was that the tech (Mike) who went on the roof to scope out a leaking skylight, fixed it on the spot. The fiberglass work has not been done yet (I need to get some parts from the manufacturer through a dealer) but my first impression is very positive. I'm glad I found QIR.

It was a clean title van. Masters touch told us everything looked great. We picked it up and checked it out ourselves with our mechanic. We found obvious signs of an accident, an exhaust leak, transfer case had been changed, transmission was half-full, and even the brakes need some work. Masters touch missed the easiest, most fundamental details to this vehicle. Not sure how this was even possible. Honestly a bit confusing how something so important was missed by professionals.

On the way over I noticed the indicator light had just come on showing tire pressure was low, and the oil change light was still on because it was not reset at a recent contact free Valvolene oil change. After a short wait, the new headlight was installed at a fair price. Driving home I realized that the folks at M and K had also inflated the tires and reset the oil change light with correct mileage according to the sticker on the windshield. I had not mentioned the tires or the oil change light, and really appreciated them taking such good care of the details ! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND M and K Auto Repair !

I normally try and give businesses, especially small ones, the benefit of the doubt but after my…read moreexperience here over the past week, I feel obligated to give this one-star review (would do zero if possible). I could use all kinds of adjectives as part of a rant but here are the simple facts of what they did (and didn't) do and you can decide for yourself. Monday a.m. - dropped car off per their phone call for a roof repair and new windshield, even though they didn't yet have the windshield. I gave them my contact information and they said they would text me updates. Wednesday p.m. - not a word from them. Called to find out I wasn't getting updates because the front office person had failed to do the final "click" to get my info into their system. Windshield still not in. Thursday - Without having updated me, and with no windshield in sight, I learned that they had taken the headliner and interior trim off anyway, making the car underivable even if I had wanted to take it home at that point. Thursday p.m. I then get a call from my insurance company adjustor who tells me they took a closer look at the roof and decided it was not a repair job but a replacement and that the repair cost is now more than the car's market value. (The shop had earlier told me - twice - that they believed they could fix it.) Friday - Now needing to get the car off their lot, both the insurance adjustor and I call them and they promise to have it put together first thing Monday a.m. so I can take it home. (Roof damage aside, it is in good shape.) Monday a.m. - I arrive first thing and am told the car is not ready and won't be til 11 because their detail guy still needs to remove the writing all over the windows and "won't have time" to do that til 11. After waiting a bit (this is our only car and the shop is several miles from our house), I finally insist they just bring the car upfront, give me a cloth and I will wipe it off myself. This shames them into cleaning it off themselves - however, when they bring it up front, I see that the only thing they have done is put the headliner back in. Instead of putting the rest of it back together, they have shoved all the interior trim parts into a big box (so big that it blocks the rear view mirror), along with all of our personal belongings. They tell me that "it's pretty easy" to put the trim pieces back in myself! Monday p.m. - I go to empty the big box and find that the jug of oil they had shoved into it had leaked all over the interior of the box. I also realize that they had not even put the sun visors back on nor the trim that covers the seat belts, neither of which is "easy" to do, at least for someone like me. Through it all, never even a single word of apology. How's that for customer service?

The window stopped working too, so it was time for a repair. I took it to my regular mechanic (Broadway Imports, and they rock as well!) and he said they didn't do body work but recommended Dan at Atomic Auto Body. So, Monday we had an appointment to get the work done (replace the door with a $50 craigslist door) and went in. Well, once Dan got into the door, he found that the regulator (thing that moves the window up and down) was missing teeth and he would not be able to put that in my cheapo CL door. "How much?" I inquired. "$175 for a used one." -- "Damn" I mumbled under my breath, "Okay, go ahead and do it." So later that week, we went out to pick up the car and I was totally expecting the charges to be over $300, since the original estimate was for $120 and then the regulator added in for $175, plus the additional labor. But I was floored when he told me it was only $242 since he found a less expensive used regulator. How many times does your final bill come in less than the estimate? No many in my lifetime. Dan was a consummate professional, a pleasure to chat with, and did a bang up job (forgive the pun!) If you ever need body work done or want to restore an old jalopy, take it to Dan at Atomic Auto Body -- You won't be disappointed.
