Tualatin Auto Body performed a repair on the left rear quarter panel of our VW Alltrack. No issues with the repair work. The repair and paint match appear quite good. They did have our car in their shop for an extended time, reportedly due to trim part unavailability (well over 30 days). Bit hard to believe, but possible. Once picked up and back in the garage, we noted that the Entire car had considerable paint contamination due to overspray. Luckly, I have the tools and ability to remove the overspray, which required about 5 hours of paint correction, polishing, and resealing the paint. A pro detailer would have charged over $300 for this same work. So, in conclusion; good repair work, less than good attention to detail, regarding the condition of the car as it was returned. read more

Lost faith and trust in service. Been with them for many years. After repairing a damaged door I noticed the front wing window was not the tinted one before the repair. Vehicle was brought back and the tinted window was replaced. A notable long gash was present on the film. Brought it to the attention of the service tech and his reply was disappointing . Someone in my complex was pulling out and didn't pull out far enough, clipping the left front fender/bumper/headlight assembly on my classic GM wagon. I took the car there to get a quote, hoping that the shiny/modern appearance of their building and their cute little hot rods in the parking lot meant that I would be well taken care of. Instead- what I got was someone who didn't seem interested at all in performing an inspection. While walking out the front door of the building to inspect the car- he immediately says "We can't get parts for that car." Again, this was before he even SAW the damage, as the only thing he could see was my rear bumper and not the actual damage itself. I myself am a car guy- hence owning the classic wagon to begin with. The front crossmember/radiator support are fine and took no damage (again, someone was just pulling out of a parking spot). It was just the fender and bumper I wanted to get reworked. Installing side markers and a new headlight is no big deal- yet from the short "estimate" email I got from him, it was apparent that they were unwilling to perform even this simple task. In his email, he told me he was unavailable to find parts for my car. I told him that the headlight assembly, side markers and front fenders are still being reproduced/sold (They immediately pop up on multiple sites, doing a quick search)- and that there are 3 used bumpers online right now, available for purchase. To make things easier on them, I even ask for an estimate if I purchased the parts myself and brought them in, to which his replay was "Well... there's probably some damage behind those parts." Then, no further communication from them. This is an AUTO BODY SHOP that is unwilling to perform AUTO BODY REPAIR. Anyways- the fenders/light assembly are already here, while the bumper is on the freight truck on the way. I found an auto body shop that was actually willing to do their jobs, no thanks to these guys. read more

We've unfortunately needed to take our cars to the body shop multiple times in the last few years. Each time we've gone to Tualatin Auto Body, and each time they have been fantastic. They truly stand by the high quality of their work and are extremely professional and just great to work with. I have found that they do tend to be a bit more expensive than other shops, as they strongly prefer more permanent fixes rather than cutting corners. We had more than $5000 damage to our Acura. The Acura dealership recommended Tualatin Autobody for the repair work. Colin helped us get our car in for repair much faster than other shops could. He very carefully assessed the damage, pointing out things that we had not noticed. The company handled all the insurance dealings for us. When the work was done, the car and paint looked perfect. One tiny piece of mylar door edge guard was slightly discolored, so Colin got us right in and had it fixed. After a few days, it was found that the installation position of the new car door was too low, and part of the lower protective plate of the car door was not stuck and cracked. After a few days, it was found that the door seal was not in place, and the back of the window plastic decal was torn off, making it difficult to fix. The guys sitting behind the desk at the entirely empty shop were extremely rude and made me feel like I was bothering them. They didn't even look at my truck but basically told me that they didn't have anyone that could help me. It was odd because only a month ago I had an in-depth conversation with them about the project. Not sure if it was because I was female or what, but they were not interested in giving me the time of day. One of the rudest customer service experiences of recent memory. Both times the process was smooth and they were very accommodating. Opened up during New Years weekend so I could pick my Telly up and second repair only took a couple of hours. I had brought my SUV in to repair a dent on the rear passenger side panel. Les wrote up my repair order and said in would take 5-7 days. It only took 4 and looks as good as new. It was tricky because i caused a crease along a trim that already had some curvature to it. No problem. The car was then washed and vacuumed. I couldn't be happier. I had a good experience the first time I went to Tualatin Auto Body, so I was happy to return when I needed more body work. Well this time, it was a disaster. They wrote me an estimate, and then they kept me waiting almost a month before they could even get started. I brought in my car, and then there was another delay, and then they gave me an estimated completion date (which would be another week and a half of waiting). The night before that date, they called me and indicated that they hadn't even started yet and that now the estimate had almost doubled and they had no idea when it would be finished. The car was no longer worth fixing at this point. Their employee Colin repeatedly tried to override my decisions regarding how to proceed and whether the car was worth fixing. I lost a lot of potential revenue during the time without my car, and I should be compensated for this. All they did was waste my time for a month, and they still charged me almost $500 for doing nothing. And after I paid them that $500 just to get my (unfixed) car back, they still tried to fraudulently bill my insurance anyway! read more

If I was reviewing T.A.B. 3-10 years ago, this review would have been 5 stars, but things have significantly suffered. We ...NO LONGER TRUST... them. They used to be reliable and the best auto body shop around. Service was top notch and we never had issues with all our 4 of vehicles UNTIL NOW... The work & service is very sketchy now, which is sad because it used to be great. The last time we had to take our car in a total of 3 times for the original issue (yes, 2 after the initial repair) because they 'forgot' to do something or it 'wasn't done properly'. We had damage to our 2 year old car in the tune of $3,500-$4,000: We booked it in, they had it for approximately 1 week. It took longer than they quoted, but we didn't mind, as we have used them for 10 years and we just wanted it done right..... NOT THE CASE: We get our car back and immediately (in the parking lot while we were still there) we noticed they 'forgot' to replace an entire door seal which was visibly damaged. They actually RE-USED the OLD DOOR SEAL, yet replaced everything else. Of course the seal had to be ordered, so they couldn't fix it that day. We had to make another appointment, both had to take more time off work and lose use of our car for another day. Very inconvenient. NO APOLOGY, just an acknowledgement with an offer to make another appointment in the future to fix and that was it. We think they thought we wouldn't notice, I suppose. However, it was so noticeable, they must have thought we were blind. So, we get it back the 2nd time, after the seal is repaired and find one of the replaced door handles was not installed properly and malfunctioning. It was barely usable (couldn't open the door without a major struggle, it was a pain). So, we called again...made another appointment, take MORE TIME OFF WORK to have the work done, lose use of our car for the 3rd time. Think of all the time and fuel we burned due to their inept work. Again, no apology, no sincerity. They offered us a free car wash for a future date, which was an inconvenient drive just for a "free car wash" No thanks. After all this, I need to comment on the overall quality of the work: The work itself wasn't up to their previous standards. You can now tell there was a fix (which we have never noticed with their work previously over the years on 3 other cars). Paint was not applied well. It doesn't quite match, it is noticeable- runny in appearance and the car is not as straight as it was before the accident. Things were not lined up perfectly. Another auto-body shop also noticed this. So, our 2 year old car is now worth less since we took it here rather than another place. It was not restored to pre-loss condition. This is Unacceptable. Regrettable. We will NOT EVER USE THEM AGAIN and DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

These guys were awesome! My husbands car was damaged and our insurance company recommended this shop based on other customers positive reviews. They made the whole process so much easier than I could have ever imagined. They handled everything with the insurance company, I never had to lift a finger after dropping the car off until it was ready to be picked up. They were very friendly and always willing to answer all of my dumb questions. Their communication through the process was also great! My husband's car was not in the best shape on the inside when we dropped it off. When I picked it up it was CLEAN, inside AND out! My family is very happy with the service and work they provided.
