Excellent work removing a problem tree! They sent an expert to evaluate the tree and talk about options. I felt confident that the choice of removal was the right choice. On the day of service, the crew was on time, friendly, professional, worked with us with the neighbors, and had the tree down really quickly. I also would like to comment that the clean up work done afterward on the property was the best clean-up job I have ever had from a company. My yard was spotless. So happy! I will definitely use Evergreen for all my tree services in the future. read more

Great company. I had them remove a couple of trees and prune another. They did a fantastic job. They are very efficient and I highly recommend them. read more

We had several big and overgrown trees and bushes in our front yard and back yard that needed a lot of attention. Diane came out for a consultation and was absolutely amazing! She definitely knows her stuff!!! She is so personable and easy to talk to and she made the whole process stress free! I cannot even begin to say how pleased we were to meet her and to have Evergreen take care of our yard!! Scheduling was a breeze (August is so helpful) and the work was done expertly!! We love the way our yard looks. I recently needed some help with some overgrown shrubs and trees behind our property and I immediately thought of Diane at Evergreen. She came right over and gave me expert advise!! I was so happy to see her again and I am so grateful to her and Evergreen Tree Services. Highly recommend!!! Susie Heredia read more

I am amazed!! Evergreen's team did everything and then some, for the same price, to make sure the end result was what I wanted. Larry was there at the beginning to guide his team as to what I had requested as opposed to me having to show them what needed to be done. Their team is professional, courteous and was very respectful of my property. They were 100% driven to make sure I was happy and satisfied with what they did as to what I was expecting . After they limbed and prune a 75' tree, their cleanup was so impeccable, you would never know there was anything done. This is the second time I have had the privilege to use Evergreen. I am 110% completely satisfied with their work. Again, Larry and his team treated my home/property like it was their own. Many thanks!! read more

Did a great job removing numerous shrubs stumps for an excellent price! Will use again!

Huge tree. Great crew. Clean, friendly, professional. Underbid others by thousands of dollars. I was impressed enough to tip the entire crew. read more

Diane came and gave me a written bid almost immediately after I contacted Evergreen. She really knows the business, was very knowledgeable with years of experience. She had even cut trees here before. Unfortunately, my neighbor had a crew cutting dead cedars today, so they took care of mine while they were on the street. read more

We had need to get a dead 130'ish ft. douglas fir tree removed from our front yard. I got quotes from several companies and, while I was impressed with the obvious knowledge and ability of all of them, I chose to go with Evergreen Tree Services. They gave me a price quote that was low enough that I felt the other companies who did price matching would likely not be willing to match. They also went out of their way to make sure I knew exactly how they were going to do the removal because it was a large tree in a very challenging location. The team had arrived a few hours later than they planned due to vehicle trouble that was beyond their control but they still finished the entire removal task in one visit, chipped up all the limbs, cut up the sections of the tree into reasonable sized pieces, and did an excellent job cleaning up once they finished. I absolutely recommend them and will most likely be calling them again for any future tree trimming or removal needs. read more

What a great experience with Evergreen! We just moved into our new home and the backyard had 6 trees and a towering fir tree whose roots were everywhere, making it impossible for anything to grow. From the first phone call they have been responsive and a pleasure to work with. The office staff answered all of my questions and got the work scheduled quickly. Their crew showed up on time and quickly did their work. They explained to me every day what I could expect for the day and they did not disappoint. They cut down the trees and removed all trunks and limbs and are stump grinding this week. I would not hesitate to use them again! read more

These people are great skilled hard-working prompt customer focused. They did a big job for me in the backyard with a maple and a walnut tree that needed a lot of attention. David Pedro and Jose are hard-working competent professionals. Did a great job and left my yard and driveway cleaner than it was when they got here. They are talented and hard-working and strive to do the best possible job and they do. Larry had come out before and gave us an estimate and a date for the job and then they called back after a few days and offered to move the job ahead which worked out fine for me. They got a lot done in a short amount of time. read more

Diane and her crew did a great job helping us tame our overgrown city lot at a good price. We had one sick, old cedar tree that needed to be removed, and multiple other needed to be trimmed for health and safety. Diane did the initial estimate, and we were impressed with her knowledge. She also came back and did a walkthrough on the day work started to confirm what would be removed, and what just trimmed. The crew worked hard, took appropriate safety precautions, and cleaned up all of the debris. We were very pleased with the work, and wouldn't hesitate to call them again. read more

From the initial quote through scheduling, service, and the final walk-through I received excellent service. Communication was thorough and timely, pricing competitive and I am hap0y with the work- and all the new light coming in to the yard! The arborist, Larry, was easy to work with. The crew leader, David, was very polite, responsive and respectful. The crew of four worked hard and cleaned up very well. I highly recommend Evergreen Tree Service and would hire them again. read more

Evergreen had been pruning my 50 foot maple for a few years so when it was time for it to be cut down due to the extensive damage it was doing to the sidewalk I of course called them. Because the roots were so massive I advised that the concrete company would be removing the sidewalk first so the tree guys could get to all of the roots and do the grinding. First, they did get the tree down and ground one stump but no roots. My contract also noted root removal, but they covered up the roots with all of the shavings. They came back out to remove a couple more roots which was great....after my friends and I cleared out what they covered up with the shavings. Then they refused to do the big root by the water meter main box stating it was a liability. So I paid 2200 for partial work and paid another 900 to another company to remove the huge pile of shavings and the extra root that Evergreen did not remove. They did it by hand in less than an hour. What gets me is the arborist came out first to inspect and took pictures so they were well aware of what they were working with from the get go. They should not have accepted this job if they could only get 3/4 of it done. Very disappointed. A 2 day job took me weeks and endless calls to get this done. I do not recommend them at all anymore but I had in the past. I give them 1 star because they are good at tree pruning. read more

I called Larry and he came out to give me a quote. I had the crew come back out to do a small job of pruning two large Japanese Maples. The were real thick and hanging to the ground. the crew came a short time before scheduled. Walked me through what they would be doing and started working. Cleaned up afterward. Great crew. Will call back again when needed. THANKS read more

Called them to trim the trees at our house. Their pace seemed a bit slow, but their price was reasonable and they did good work. They were careful with each branch and cleaned up when they were done with no mess left in the yard like my previous experiences with other crews. read more

We had some trees that had not been trimmed for years and we were dreading the quotes - Evergreen was responsive and reasonably priced. Their crew was on time and handled all the coordination needed with the city. We were really impressed with them and happy with how happy and healthy our old trees look now! read more

Looking at all the other reviews, I wonder if we had bad luck with the crew that came. My neighbor's mom recommended them highly, and I read up on them on yelp beforehand. The fellow who came to do the estimate was knowledgeable. An older man \did the trimming in the large trees, and his work was OK, though he made a couple of ugly cuts; in a few, the stump of the limb sticks out from the trunk instead of being cut flush with the trunk. The ground crew was led by a young man who was nice, but not particularly in charge of the situation or aware of surrounding plants, hedges and trees. I had to run out a couple of times to be sure they didn't let large limbs fall on the small firs that edge our pond. They also broke off the tops of several bamboo when they used them to lower branches from a nearby maple. The crew seemed to be in a hurry to finish as fast as possible. They just lopped off the branches of our deadora pine. But the worst work was the guy who butchered the pin oak in our front yard. The plan was to limb it up a bit and cut it back from the porch roof. I went out once to ask the him not to leave the heavy branches lieying on the shrubs underneath. They looked like they were going to break. The pin oak looked good, and I thought he was done. A few minutes later, I noticed more big branches crushing the same shrubs and stepped out to find he had kept limbing up the oak. It looks like a lollipop now. My husband was crushed, and I just try not to look at it. When I called the office to complain, the woman answering the phone was sympathetic and said she'd send one of their supervisors around to see what they could do. Well, there's nothing to be done. But it would have been nice if he had carried through and come by. read more

These guys are great. The crew they sent are total pros. Their arborist really knows her business. Thorough, reasonable and professional.

Looking for a tree company that will give you the best price PLUS awesome service? Go with Evergreen. I've had these two trees in my backyard that was an eyesore to look at, and finally decided that it needed to come down. Everything from the communication and follow-up was great: from meeting Larry who gave me the estimate, to speaking with Myra and helping me get payments set up, to the guys who worked on our yard. Fast removal, and they even cleaned up our yard from the debris. Great company - would definitely hire them again! read more

Amazing, fast and friendly service. Larry was able to identify the trees in question, unlike other companies I have called. I trust them to take care of my trees care and health. read more

$1,450 to remove a dead tree from my front yard, and trim back the other tree. They left ENORMOUS trunk rounds (seriously a few hundred pounds each) just lying in my front yard. After calling them repeatedly requesting that they at least cut them into smaller pieces so I could move them, someone came by while I was at work and cut only the largest ones in half. Awesome, so now they only weigh 200lbs. Totally manageable for me and my massive upper body strength to handle. So now it's more of a total of $1650 because I have to buy my own friggin chainsaw to finally finish the job about a month and a half after the fact. read more

I hired this crew to cut down two small-ish trees in my yard (the trunks were maybe 8" in diameter, and both were about 20' tall). I also asked if they would be willing to give me a truck full of shredded tree bits, as tree care companies are often as eager to get rid of their haul without expense as gardeners are to get a huge heap of mulch at no expense. Eddie said that, since i'd almost certainly be the last stop of the day, they could just dump what they had. I said that'd be great. The crew came, cut down my trees quickly and efficiently, then left. I'd been summoned to pick up a sick child, so i was not there to ask why they were leaving without emptying their truck on my driveway. When i called to pay by phone, i asked the woman i talked to if it would still be possible to get a truckload of chipped wood, she said she'd call the owner and ask. I never heard back from her. So five stars for being fast, efficient, and clean, leaving no trace but two ground stumps that my trees had ever been there. Minus one star for not following through on the offer of free tree bits and not even calling me back about it. read more

After getting multiple bids to remove 10 overgrown trees on our property line, we decided to use Evergreen. They weren't the cheapest nor the most expensive but their estimator took the time to discuss the job. The team spent all day removing them and the following day the stump grinder came. It was a tricky stump grind as they were right next to our deck. He did a great job of getting within a couple inches of the deck without damaging a thing. Very happy with the job and we will definitely continue to look at Evergreen for our future tree needs. read more

We had 9, 30+ foot Portuguese laurels along 2 sides of our property. All fine and well if they aren't let wild for 30 plus years. Unfortunately they had to go, so they had to be removed and the stumps ground. One quite large. We had several bids, this was the best by far. They crew was amazing. Punctual, precise, and polite. They knocked out the work with no damage to property or plants. Some of the work was over power lines and both our and our neighbor's rooflines. The following work day the stumps were ground. Both days the crew did a stellar job and made sure to clean up our property as well as our neighbors. read more

Diane, the arborist for Evergreen Tree Services, came out and evaluated several of our trees--they were very tall and we were worried about them being uprooted or having branches fall in a wind storm. I hired Evergreen to clean up the hack job Timber*** Tree Service did on three of my trees. Not only did Evergreen do an amazing job cleaning up they also thinned and further trimmed my two ginormous sweet gums trees. I have hated those tress for the past 13 years but they did such a beautiful job that I almost cried with joy. All of my neighbors have positively commented on them as well. In addition to this they took down and hauled away a dead tree in the back and trimmed another tree away from my roof. They kept to their price quote and the team who worked on my trees were very personable. They will have my patronage for life! Let's hope it is a long one! :) ~Laura read more

Fantastic job. So happy I used Evergreen. Diane was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. They were less than the other bids and did more work. The only reason I'm giving them a three.. is because the team that came to my house was amazing - deserving a five star! When I called to set up the apt, the lady booking was extremely hesitant. Didn't wanna book an afternoon. She said.. "well I hope they will come." She booked the morning appointment and called me the day of stating they couldn't make it because of equipment malfunction. I explained my day off and how EXTREMELY hard it was to get them... she said, "I'll see what I can do." Next the estimator called me.. trying to sell me with 5% off or a reschedule (telling me how highly competitive his bid was.) I told him how p*** I was and an explanation of what I do for a living and how important it was for today! Nothing..nothing..nothing.... then they show up! Great team!! Good job! Amazing workers. Shitty booking and shuffle! If ya can't do the job because "we are on the other side of town and this was only an hour job. It's gonna take us twice as long to get home.." kinda day. DONT FRIGGIN SCHEDULE THE APT!!! I don't need to hear it from you, or your pissed off staff.. good times! read more

Great service. Arborist showed up, and quickly marked up the 5 tree's that needed to be removed. 4 weeks later their 4 man crew showed up at 8am as expected, downed 2 large tree's, 1 medium tree, and 2 decorative shrub tree's by 11:30 and had them chopped/chipped and hauled away. They had to take my fence apart to drop the 2 large tree's, but they put it all back together properly and you cant even tell they were here other than some sawdust near the stumps and the 5 missing tree's. It was quite the sight to see them drop such a large tree perfectly between a 6' opening in my fence. Price was considerably lower(about 20%) than others quoted and seemed more realistic for the job that was requested. Wouldn't hesitate to use again. read more

Let's just say that the wife and I are completely satisfied with evergreen tree service and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to have trees pruned or removed. Diane's quote for the removal of 3 trees was 1/2 the price of Any of our bids and included rounds cut into 16" lengths and all limbs chipped and removed from our property. The job was done in one day and we are completely satisfied with evergreens professional attitude to safety, minimal impact to our property, and clean up. read more

I left a bad review last week because I felt we did not get the service we paid for and was told we would have to pay more for a branch that was not completely cut off. I was contacted by the General Manager when he found out we were not happy and he immediately came out to finish the removal and I would like to take back my bad review. I do not think the review was wrong at the time but now that I can see they care about the work they do and the impression they leave, I am very happy with the company. I honestly did not expect to be contacted at all. This does not often happen and I am amazed they cared about one silly customer complaint. They obviously care and I would recommend them based on that fact. I am all for supporting small businesses so I am very happy this worked out the way it did. I will use them for all of our future pruning and branch removals as they have proven to be upstanding and I don't mind admitting when I am wrong. Thank you Eddie! read more
