The Ophthalmologist --- top notch. Eyewear staff -- not so much…read more I've been getting my glasses there for years, but that's ending as soon as I pick up my new set of glasses. It's taken nearly three weeks, and they're still not available. But, yes, I'll still get my eyes examined there. Apparently, they broke in transit. Or they broke when the staff was putting in the lenses. Or perhaps it never got ordered properly. It doesn't matter what the reason is -- I don't have the expensive frames I paid for. The worst part is that *I* had to call and ask if the glasses were ready, only to find out there was a problem. Were the staff forthcoming about the problem? Were they proactive in telling me? Were they stepping-up to resolve the problem? Did they keep me in the loop? No. *I* got concerned that they had forgotten to call me to tell me the frames and lenses were ready. So I called for an update. And only then was I informed there was a problem. And any updates are still communicated only when I make the phone calls; they're not initiated by the staff. Anyways -- get your eyes examined here. Good, professional examination, and he genuinely cares about his patients. Get your eyes examined, get the prescription in your hand, and order lenses and frames elsewhere or even online; you'll get better service that way. (Yes, even online).

After $130 off glasses plus an additional $20 I still paid out of pocket $150. Something in my gut told me something wasn't right. After researching the frames I got... EVERY SINGLE OTHER PLACE ranging from Walmart to other businesses they sell for $100-$120. They charged $269 for the frames ONLY and $120 for the lenses (I'm blind as a bat). Unfortunately in NYS they are allowed to do this mark up on the glasses but it's disheartening to see us customers being taken advantage of. Here's where they are breaking the law...Federal Trade Commission enforces the Eyeglass Rule. It requires eye doctors - ophthalmologists and optometrists - to give patients a copy of their prescription, whether they ask for it or not and before offering to sell eyeglasses. It's the law. Asking the patient if they want their prescription doesn't comply with the Rule. You must provide the prescription automatically unless the patient specifically refuses the prescription, in which case you should make a note of their refusal in the file. Your staff also must give prescriptions to patients before you or anyone at your office offers to sell them glasses. Guess what..... That has not been obeyed as I was not given my prescription nor have my husband nor have my children's ever been given, offered, emailed, texted, not even a pigeon message.. I have filed a report with the Federal Trade Commission as the only way they wouldnt have to follow this law is if they are a federal, state, or local government agency which in this case...pretty sure they arent.

The eye doctor himself was good.
