I got 2 days a week worth of effort. He made me feel like he wanted me out of there as quickly as possible. Didn't want to dilate me when all docs want to based on family history. Told me in the most brusque way possible about the practice sale, his 2 days a week status, and that I can expect my eyes to get worse as I approach my 40's. At the end of the appointment, I took my prescription to go and found a small local practice where the doctor actually cares. Wouldn't recommend, which is disappointing from a place I formerly trusted.

It's taken nearly three weeks, and they're still not available. But, yes, I'll still get my eyes examined there. Apparently, they broke in transit. Or they broke when the staff was putting in the lenses. Or perhaps it never got ordered properly. It doesn't matter what the reason is -- I don't have the expensive frames I paid for. The worst part is that *I* had to call and ask if the glasses were ready, only to find out there was a problem. Were the staff forthcoming about the problem? Were they proactive in telling me? Were they stepping-up to resolve the problem? Did they keep me in the loop? No. *I* got concerned that they had forgotten to call me to tell me the frames and lenses were ready. So I called for an update. And only then was I informed there was a problem. And any updates are still communicated only when I make the phone calls; they're not initiated by the staff. Anyways -- get your eyes examined here. Good, professional examination, and he genuinely cares about his patients. Get your eyes examined, get the prescription in your hand, and order lenses and frames elsewhere or even online; you'll get better service that way. (Yes, even online).

Since 1961 I've had a few new eyes made and each one was a perfect match to my live eye. Prior to 1961 my Mom took me to several places to get an artificial eye but each one was from stock or picture and they never look the same as my live one. At the Ocular Restoration Clinic when they make a custom eye it looks identical to the live eye. You can not tell the difference. I've lived with an artificial eye for over 70 years and I can't tell you how many times a person I've just met or encountered a few times tells me that they could not tell the difference between my real and artificial eye. In fact a few have asked, which one is real. The clinic does great work. They are very much dedicated to detail making sure that the eye they are creating looks identical the the original. The eye socket changes as we age along with some coloring and veining with the live eye.
