This company is a scam!! Do not use them at all. Jeff called to try to get us to switch our direct service over to them with a new promotion. He said it would be $50 cheaper. Thankfully, after my husband was going to give go ahead, I got on the phone and asked more questions, especially about saving things on our DVR. He said another person in their office could do it for us for free, even though they usually charge for it, because we only 50% filled on our DVR.. And at the same time, I looked up online for reviews and saw they were terrible. When I told him that we are not going to make the change and go with them, Jeff hung up on me and didn't say a word before he did. DO NOT USE Everett Communications. This company is TERRIBLE!!! Promised a $200 gift card when signing up for their DirecTV service...Never got one!! Charged $9.99 a month fee (For what? I don't know!) Canceled my DirecTV service in August, still got the $9.99 fee in September. I called to have them stop charging me since I no longer have their service and asked for a refund. My parents are elderly and used to have Direct TV and Viasat (which was horrible internet, by the way), but are currently with much better service providers. Recently, my dad had a heart attack and has been in the hospital, so my mom is living alone (we live close by, so don't get any ideas). Yesterday, I picked her up to take her to the hospital to visit my dad, and she told me that Jeff (Carmody) "from Viasat" called and wanted to sign her up for internet/tv service. She told him that her husband is in the hospital, and she doesn't deal with that kind of thing. He would have to call back. She said Jeff was friendly enough, and said he was sorry about my dad. But the fast-talking began, and at the end of the conversation, he said someone would be there the next day to install equipment. She was sick about it, and was so scared that someone was going to show up to install equipment that she didn't want. She had his name and number written down, so I told her I would contact him first thing in the morning to straighten it out. So, I called Jeff this morning. I started to tell him the story and how my mom was worried. He immediately raised his voice and began talking over me, so I raised my voice back at him to continue telling the story. He screamed "F@$& YOU!" into the phone and hung up on me. I called him back, but he didn't answer. I left a message telling him that if anyone from the company set foot on my parents' property, I would be calling the police. This afternoon, we went to the hospital again, and we got back to my mom's house, there were two messages on the answering machine. One from Shawn, the installation technician checking to see if they were still set to install the equipment at 3:45), and a call from Amber, the manager, who was also calling to confirm the appointment. I immediately grabbed the phone and called the first number. Shawn was great. I explained the situation to him and he was very apologetic. He said he didn't know anything about the situation, and was just trying to confirm the installation when he was finally contacted by Jeff who told him that it was "cancelled". Shawn was calm, understanding, and sympathetic to the situation. Shawn deserves more than a raise. He deserves a better job at a company that has integrity. It's hard to know sometimes if it's just one bad employee, or the entire company. And honestly, while I didn't appreciate him forcing service on my mom, or ignoring her when she told him that she doesn't make those decisions, the situation could have been easily deescalated with an apology. But his immediate explosive and defensive behavior this morning when I tried to explain the situation was pretty telling. This wasn't his first time defending his actions before, and I'm sure it won't be the last. Shawn was great, but I think he's the exception. After I got off the phone with him, I called the manager, Amber. I explained everything again, just like I did with Shawn. But no apologies were made, just excuses. She lied to me at least twice. Two separate claims she made that were provably false. The rest was her word vs my mom's. Like when Amber said that she called my mom back, after my mom spoke with Jeff, to confirm the sale, so there was "no possible way" my mom didn't understand what she was agreeing to. Yet, there was no other number on the caller ID after Jeff's call, and my mom said she never talked to a woman...just one man. Amber's behavior was very similar to Jeff's...without the cursing. She was defensive and unapologetic. She kept asking how I expected her to know my mom's situation. I don't, obviously. But that's beside the point. HER salesman scared an elderly woman and attempted to force a service on her that she didn't want. And then when this woman's daughter called to discuss what happened and get more information, she was cussed out and hung up on by the same salesman. No one is expecting clairvoyance here--just common human decency and perhaps...an apology and rectification. I wish I would have read these other YELP reviews before I contacted the main office and talked to Amber. It would have added some context for what I was dealing with. But I didn't even know what company Jeff was calling from until I spoke with Shawn. And until they point, I thought the installation was for internet, not tv. After reading about other people's experiences with Rob, Amber, Jeff, etc, it's clear that this is not a "one employee problem". This is a company problem that starts at the top with the owner, and trickles down to management, salespeople, etc. Thank you for reading my memoir. read more

Scammer. He tells you things to get you to sign and then never fulfills it. Like the free $250 visa gift card for signing up with Dish. Also told me he wouldn't charge my card until a certain date and he put it through right away. There were other lies as well. read more

They said to try their Internet box free for a week when we set up Dish. We returned it after a few days because the Internet was awful in our area. They fraudulently charged our account for Internet use through auto pay that we only set up for Dish. After finally noticing and contacting them, we waited for three months to get an answer from the boss who was always on vacation. His solution was to pay half the money back. Because of the amount of times we've had to stop in and track down an answer, we took half. Absolutely awful customer service by the owner. read more

Sales person Jessica Castillo made promises she didn't keep. Better programming with better pricing. Paper billing, automatic ly switch ​dish programming off as she worked for both companies. Boxes were never sent to send equipment back. I've cancelled with directv after finding out none of the services happened. I owe over 200.00 to dish for not having it turned off and close to 500.00 for cancelling with directv after 1 and 1/2 months. I thought their was a law against manipulating seniors. read more

Everett must be a scam! Jeff the salesman promises a great internet to remote areas. He quotes discounts for seniors etc., says they have a snowbird plan and you have a week to see how good it is before committing. Amber, who calls from the office to confirm the order says something similar but not the same. The product is mailed but not internet just a mobile hotspot. Of course, since we have very poor cell service that won't work. Then when it doesn't work their installer needs to come out but cannot come for a week due to a family emergecy but when he does, sells you an extender which he says will work. On a speed test it shows 1.1 meg upload speed which he says will work as this is a different type of internet. I tried to keep it working for an entire day before I called and said it was being sent back. Everett had already charged me $240 + $42 and then charged me another $280 cancellation. So I paid $500 for the internet for one day which didn't work well or at all. I would never recommend Rob and his employees to anyone. Every time they talk they say something different. I am disputing the charges as a scam and will go to small claims court if necessary. BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

This company sells many promises. Not one, not one, of the promises they made came true. This company lies, they are non-responsive, extremely unhelpful when you could get a response. If they are selling you Viasat for your Internet, run, run as fast as you can. This service is horrible. I cannot believe they have the audacity to charge money for this service. They came out to look at why our service was so bad and they said we needed boosters. We bought boosters and we are still unable to get Internet on a regular basis. We cannot stream anything. We are lucky to get enough Internet service to check emails on our computer. read more
