Warning watch out for these crooks. I took down last review due to a promise from the owner to fix all issues nothing changed at all. 1st time allege all over pool left dirty even after they came to clean it. They never returned phone calls until I left a review. Found out the sweep pump was out never was reported to me. The owner promised to get everything clean and make it right gladly the pump was under warranty still (only a 2 year old pool) after the sweep was fixed still nothing changed left it for about 2 months for change and nothing. Started with Randy out of Sanger & Reedley, over 2 years ago. Good and reliable service. Only recently a couple of issues. When they cleaned our filter they just dumped the old DE at the base of a fruit tree. Contaminating the soil. I don't always know when they are going to do the filter cleaning, but if they let me know I could guide them to a better spot. Also, they installed a Hayward filter in the pool cleaning line without asking me. A $95 charge showed up in next month's bill. I have since removed the charge from my billing statement and told them they can take their filter back. I have since removed it myself, totally cleaned it, and put it in a plastic bag for them to pick up at the next service. i did find a fair amount of grit in the filter, so decided to buy one on Amazon, the same exact filter for $35. (It only takes 5 min. to install). Had they charged me a much more reasonable fee, and asked me first, I would likely have left the original. Still, very good service overall for the monthly charge of testing, treating and cleaning. read more

Ever-Clear was not my first choice and after few months of a different service it became apperant that I had made a huge mistake not choosing EC. Chemicals were not found in the water, algae had began to grow and a filter cleaning that was paid for was never received. Due to the ineptitude of the previous pool service, combined with a very poor showing from a pool service via a home owners warranty claim, my pool filter exploded. This filter, on July 2nd, exploded literally 15 minutes after my wife, my daughter and Ever-Clear Pools owner Randy were standing next to it giving the initial inspection before services began. After the explosion, we contacted Randy and he explained what he could do to remedy the situation on his part. The price to resolve the situation was outside our budget of course, but at least he provided three options. Later Randy had to decline us as a client due to safety concerns after the home warranty was only willing to replace the lid of an exploded pool filter, leaving a high probability of another explosion occurring. I respect Randy's decision and that was what ultimately convinced me to stretch my budget to pursue Ever-Clear's services. Randy explained that he had purchased additional equipment at the beginning of the pandemic in expectation that shipping routes would become congested. Therefore I knew there would be a certain mark up of goods provided based on supply and demand. It was a hell of a mark up, but what followed was unheard of and clarified why Ever-Clear Pools has so far earned the rating recieved. Upon agreeing to purchase a brand new filter from Ever-Clear I was told that they hoped to make it out the following week to install it. It was disheartening to hear this with the 4th of July and family coming from out of state. We thought for sure we wouldn't have a pool to cool down in and the children that were coming would ultimately become terrors without some way to spend their time during this intensely hot weekend. To my utter shock, at 6 am the following day, July 3rd, as I was sitting in my garage with the door open, drowning my sorrows in a cup of coffee. Contemplating the uncertainty of the 4th of July holiday with house guests. Out of nowhere I saw one Ever-Clear truck pull up outside of my house. I thought very little of it, but then another truck pulled up and my jaw dropped. There was the owner Randy and his son Jason with the brand new filter. They installed the filter and removed the trash that was once my filter and piped in the new filter with thought in mind of what my goals were going forward with my pool system. AT 6AM, THE FOLLOWING DAY!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I was so shocked and my wife so elated, that she started to cry. Regardless of my circumstances, Randy did not have to jump on my problems so fast and I never had the expectation that he should. Needless to say, that instance of human compassion and business efficacy separated Ever-Clear from their competitors. So why the 4star rating is not a 5star? First, I have experienced several instances of upselling products and services I dont really need or which should come with the established terms of the service. Ever-Clear is not immune to this as I have experienced. First a tech told me that the algae on the side of my pool was actually stain and my pool could only be corrected by a drain and acid wash. I referred the tech to the previous week where Randy's son put his brush to it and got the algae completely removed from the walls and it was clean. This tech then proceeded to put the brush to the wall and got the same results. The next week, the tech that came stated that the algae on the wall is something that can be remedied by a tablet that lasts 6mo and would cost $60 dollars outside the agreed upon terms of service. I will follow up with Randy about this tablet. Additionally, and this may be me being a frugal person, I would like to come back to the installation and removal of my old filter. I do feel in any industry, when equipment is removed, there should be consideration for a pro-rated price for the service and products recieved as some of the products removed hold significant value and are repurposed later to other customers. Such as a push/pull valve that was removed when the filter was replaced. It was not attached to the filter directly, but part of the former piping. This push/pull valve cost approx $90 and was less than one year old. This was most likely cannibalized with any other part of the former system and potentially resold as refurbished equipment. These items should, only in my opinion, credit against my new filter purchase. HOWEVER, this company has clearly demonstrated human compassion under the surface of the stern demeanor of Randy the owner, coupled with his and his son's knowledge and skill set level, their professionalism in negotiating solutions, the expeditious treatment of our situation. That is what has earned Ever-Clear Pools a 4.2-4.4 out of 5 star rating. read more

HORRIBLE company!!! They do not do their job they lie about adding chemicals and cleaning your pool. And the owner Randy could care less! I have cameras all around my house and have every single time they were at my house recorded hardly touched my pool and let my PH in my pool raise sky high had to call several times about chemicals their workers do not do their job! If you want to risk having a green pool hire them if you want a clean clear SAFE pool for your family stay away!!!!!!! Also I called all the time because their employees never did their job!! Worst pool company ever. My pool turned green like the other reviewers had mentioned. They came out to fix the problem so I gave them a chance. Then again my pool got greener. Now I had to pay a company $350 to drain and power wash my pool and then another $300 to set up service with a new company and fix all the mess Ever-clear made. This is the best pool company around. I had a problem with my other pool service company and needed help asap. I called Everclear Pools and spoke with the owner. He was polite and new exactly what to do. He offered to help me and my husband over the phone to fix the issue plus said he would come out that night to take a look at it. I was amazed that this kind of service is still around. He was able to help us fix it and came out the next day to check on it. I will recommend Everclear Pools to anyone that asks. We've had Ever-Clear Pool & Spa service for a couple of years now. They've done a good job of weekly maintenance on our pool. But the mark of a good company is when something doesn't work as advertised. We had a sudden algae bloom and when it was brought to Randy's (the owner) attention they attacked the problem immediately and we had our sparkling water back within a couple of days. Ever-GREEN, not Ever-Clear is what this company should be called. We have been using them for a few years now, and at first, everything was A-OK. It wasn't until last year that our pool started looking green. We gave Randy, the owner, a chance to fix it, in which he did after a few attempts (after all, everyone deserves a second chance, right??) This year, our pool turned green...again. Isn't this the sole reason people hire pool services...so your pool stays clean?? We gave him another chance to fix the problem, and he said it was the filters. After ten days and a few more phone calls, the pool was still GRASS GREEN, FULL of algae. We called yet again, and he said the problem was solved. It was anything BUT solved. Either he is color blind, or does not know how to maintain a pool. We had no choice but to let him go. He wasn't holding up to his end of the bargain. Upon discontinuing services with them, we then receive a bill that was OUTRAGEOUS. We got charged for a set of filters for over $1,000, which should have cost no more than $400, even with his mark up. If he would have done his job right from the get-go, there wouldn't have been a need to change the filters in the first place, as they were already in good condition. Don't make the same mistake I did. Steer clear of "Ever-Green" pool services. read more
