You can't get any better service than her. It's got a reasonably good atmosphere. While slightly cramped, it's nothing you can't easily move around in. As for their product selection, it's pretty large. I felt like they covered all major holidays/events, with reasonable prices. My Mom and I went in about an hour before closing, and still got great service plus the products we needed. Overall, it's a small party store with the party supplies you need, and an employee who will raise your mood just from conversing with her.

I wanted the white because it looked light and happy. She's turning 75 and cooped up at home because of thr stay-at-home order. She sent me a picture of the ballons and a black one was sent instead of white. The ballons were nice but I never would have picked black. I don't want to remind her of death or her mortality. I called Lighter Than Air. He pointed out that it's on the website that colors may be substituted....and sure enough, it is. They didn't do anything wrong. I just didn't read all the way down to see that I needed to call if I wanted to be specific about color. My bad. He was very nice and offered, without me asking, to refund my money or send out different ballons. That was above and beyond what he needed to do and I very much appreciated it!!! I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone else.

I never could get anyone to call me back. After a few weeks I received an invoice via email. I paid my deposit. The next time I heard from Abacus was 3 weeks before my wedding, they were wanting me to pick up my chairs- they had my wedding date wrong!!! They didn't have any chairs available for my wedding and refused to give my deposit back. Thank goodness another rental company had chairs available...I had an awesome experience with their competitor in Portland.

They had poor customer service and took at least 4 days to respond to my emails, sometimes up to a week. I called twice and never got an answer or call back they would only email. When I emailed them two different people would email me back, one person told me they had six 8ft tables available the other person said "no we dont have that many so I just added more 6 ft tables to your order". Then when trying to pay my deposit they once again didn't return my email for a week and when they did they asked if I knew there were two different orders for banquet tables on my request, which was a change THEY had made. Sounds like they have poor communication skills with each other and with their customers. I went with a different company.
