Known for their hip atmosphere, dimly lit rooms, plush seating and amazing and thorough list of cocktails (with a large selection of cocktails created in-house, totally original), it's a great place for an after works do or a romantic set of cocktails with a date. Yes, the drinks are pricey, but if you like home-spun, craft cocktails, this is the place to go. Ask them for your drink to be a bit stiffer than usual and be warned: it will arrive to you like rocket fuel. When we went, there was a DJ spinning and a crowd enjoying cocktails big and small. We'll definitely be back and wish this bar had more attention on Yelp - it's worth going to if you consider drinking serious (and stylish) business!

Unfortunately there aren't as many high-profile events held here as there could be, leaving Bath a little off the radar when it comes to music in particular. Nevertheless, the one gig I have been to see here (Scratch Perverts and The Nextmen) was pretty good. Most of what goes on, however, is aimed at a different target audience. Recent and upcoming events include "Golden Oldies Sing-a-long", and "BABADA Antiques Sale". How very Bath.

The olives are always a treat, but for sweet things I always pounce on the home-made fudge when it's there. Not the chewy commercial stuff - this is the real-deal sugary crumbly heart-attack-in-a-bag type. Vanilla is good but the coffee fudge just rocks! I'm a big fan of the second-hand bookstall too, being an afficionado of history-myteries and I've supplemented my collection almost every time I've been in there. Lovely aromas from the coffee stall, almost irrestistable. The cafe is really funky too, closed off on the side as it is. I used to always enjoy a plate of comforting faggots, mushy peas and chips for a winter warmer. There's so many trinkets and nick-nacks it's way too easy to spend money there!

The cafe is a hole in the wall with communal seating and a few other tables inside and some outside. It's a bit packed inside but still quite charming with all the mismatched colorful decor. The service was sweet and efficient. Once seated, we were provided the menus and had our orders taken. The food came out fast and we paid at the front. I don't normally eat breakfast and got the Granola. It was fine--your typical yogurt, granola, and berries. It was tart, crunchy, and sweet--they provide a side of honey. I had half and gave the rest away because I wasn't hungry. Also ordered were the Bubble and Squeak and Fruit Pancakes. The portions are large and the food is crazy. Good. We went in there and ordered nice big plates of food and wound up sharing them with each other because everybody got something different. I was so pleased that while I was eating off of someone else's plate that they were enjoying the food off of mine at the same time. Plan ahead for when you're gonna get there. I recommend that one hour to 30 minutes before they close get your order in and that's a sure far away to get you to the head of the line at the end of the day.
