Went on a weekday evening and it was packed! But the food was delicious and worth the wait. Ordered garlic & herb flatbread, Eton colada, Banoffee Pie Sundae, and Lobster & Seafood linguine. The linguine was filling and provided so much seafood-- for the amount we got, this dish was priced at such a deal. The Banoffee was a bit too sweet for me and don't let the picture fool ya, but it was a hefty portion. I preferred the colada-- tart and light.

Decent small pastry shop conveniently located to receive high reviews from tourists. Believe it is chain in UK.

Tried Bill's after visiting the baths because they had a nice outdoor area and had a pretty decently sized crowd. The menu on their door that's displayed is not the same as the one they handed us, which was disappointing because I liked many more of the options on the menu that was not offered. The black and gold burger was pretty good! It has real gold on it and plenty of truffle flavor. It was a bit messy to eat, so I'd maybe ask for extra napkins if you get this. The fries were great as well. Only downside is that we came with plenty of time to order, eat, and pay, but had to ask for the check several times towards the end of our meal and almost missed our bus because they didn't bring it in time.

Chicken Shawarma and English Breakfast

Great spot in Bath to have lunch, but it is super busy! So probably best to make a reservation in advance or else you will have to queue. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were quite filling as well. My friend got the classic English breakfast and I got Chicken Shawarma. The hummus was especially delicious!

While I didn't necessarily love Bill's, my mom did. So much so we ended up there multiple times during our stay in Bath. It's conveniently located, and despite how busy it always seems to be, the turnover is pretty high so the wait is never too long! Plus there's a TON to look at since every space and shelf is packed with things to purchase. The staff here is super nice - some of the nicest in the industry in this city; so friendly, so accommodating - we had some wonderful chats with them and appreciated how quick they were to wrong a right... Which they had to do both times we came here because our order was either messed up or forgotten about. The first time, my food and drink came out... my mom's never did. After about a half hour we finally got the attention of a server. In the end a manager came over to apologize because they never put that part of our ticket in the kitchen's system. The second time we came here, my mom's food came out immediately... but our drinks never did. We asked someone about them, and twenty minutes later our pot of tea and americano showed up. Only the americano had mostly splashed out of the cup so the server went to get me a new one. Twenty minutes after that we asked that same server where the americano was and he said he had asked someone else to get it. The service is just all over the place here, and for it to happen both times we came, we know it wasn't just an "off day." The food is alright - my mom loved her scones and jam (they brought over three Bill's branded jams [strawberry, raspberry, orange] the first time; the second time the scones were a bit burned. I had the smashed avocado on toast with two poached eggs - it was flavorful and healthy, but nothing I would necessarily need to come back for.

He was so happy after eating here!

To bath or not to bath, that is the question! This place was awesome to visit and the food was even better. The food was so delicious that I want to go back to Bath just to eat here again. Everyone was warm upon arrival, very kind and accomodating. What I loved the most was the cozy feeling and delightful air of some delicious cuisine from every corner of the room. I'm attaching a photo of some of the items we ordered, I do not remember the name, but it was delicious. Forewarning to anyone from the USA, service in just about any place in EU is not vying for your approval. Your "Tip" is in fact not a reason for fast service or good service. How do I know this? Because I am from the states and while I would expect fast service for a large tip, the social thinking is different in EU as tip is never asked for. That said, I find that being respectful and kind to your waiter often yields the best results in terms of service and food.

Great food and classic English meals. Friendly service and a great atmosphere when relaxing after a long day. If you want a relaxing and easy meal, this is a place to visit.

It's 10pm here. We left the hotel room at 9AM for breakfast before an ALL day tour. It's been an amazing & long day. Upon arriving back in Bath so late we searched frantically for any place that's still serving dinner. I have never experienced anything like this. The hostess sat us & asked if either of us have food allergies. I said yes, and she asked what the allergies were. She then brought me this allergy menu and alerted our server. The allergy menu lists every single food item and a variety of known allergens in each food. Why don't more restaurants do this?!?!

It really could have done a lot better. I think we caught them on an off day. Service Service was good, except they kept screwing it up, basically a significant lack of staff, very very friendly, but really really not enough of them to be able to actually give me proper service. with my dietary requirements, they were a little slap dash and kept having to send food back after i'd been very specific. Really friendly - OH and give cash tip after taking service charge of bill - as service charge is not extra money for staff - it goes in pocket of BILLs (to fund training blah blah) Selection My steak was ok, and my fries were nice, my friends meal was TINY, looked ridiculous on the plate. The float she has looked lovely. Food was well - burger/steak house etc... nothing special, but not too bad either. Atmosphere Pretty cool.

We came in after a very long day of travel; we were jet lagged, hangry and holding it together by a thread.

Service was a confusing at first, but was just swell once we were seated...the leftside is a side is a traditional sit down restaurant service, the right side is a classic pub style where you order everything at the bar, and the expansive outside patio is self service as well, a completely taken over by smokers and vapers like every other European patio. £20 FISH & CHIPS! The fresh beer battered haddock was thick and crispy on the outside, and moist and tender on the inside, perfection!, The chips were pleasant enough, though crushed minted peas were just okay...maybe because they day prior I had some incredible mushy mint peas at another pub. Still a great plate overall! £20 SHORTCRUST PIES...wife went with the Chicken, Leek, and Herb...wonderfully rich and savory, with flavorful scent and warm, buttery pie crust. Lovely! Also came with seared greens, braised red cabbage, buttery mash potatoes, and rich decadent red wine gravy. £7.5 STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING...gooey, sweet, sticky, buttery, and fantastically wonderful!

The pub is unassuming on the outside but nice inside. There are two sections those for indoor dining and those wanting to sit outdoors or hang by the bar, we chose the latter. Outside is wonderful with a nice patio, plants, and plenty of shade. With the warm weather, this was a popular spot for folks. Service was friendly but limited. You order and pay for your food and drinks at the bar, they bring it out to you and that's it. I had a Lemon Chicken Pesto Sandwich. It was fine but nothing spectacular. I wish there was more filling to the sandwich, it was very bready. The fries (chips) were crispy and soft. My group enjoyed their meals as well and they looked good. Bath has lots of eateries and shops. If you're going to the Roman Baths or are in the main area, Crystal Palace is a nice spot to stop in for a bite or drink. They're located off Abbey Green near the courtyard.
