Not sure if it borders a deep tissue massage bc I've never had one, but they definitely aren't afraid to apply pressure and do well to make sure to turn you into complete jelly on the table. I am in bliss! Today I got the 30 min foot, 30 min back with added oil and hot stone massage. I've paid 2-3x as much for a luxury hotel resort massage experience, and I've gotta say, I came out 2-3x more relaxed out of this one. I'll take less frills and go here. Bc of covid, I've only ever been in the group room by myself, or my bf who came to get a massage last time I was here. Even so, they ensure that you are comfortable and have privacy. Pretty sure they would not have you completely de-robe if there are other strangers in the group room, but if that is something one would be uncomfortable with, I did notice that they have private rooms for individuals and couples. Anywho, a super relaxing massage experience, and the staff is super professional and courteous. For sure recommend!

I made a reservation for a 60-minute couples massage for my wife and myself. I confirmed the price…read morewhile booking. The massages were well done, albeit a little painful at times, though not to the point of being intolerable, probably within general expectations. My big problem is this. Neither masseuse spoke much English and neither of us speaks Korean, Chinese, or whatever their language is. For no reason whatsoever, the masseuses decided that we had agreed to continue for a full 90 minutes. My wife didn't agree to this. I didn't agree to this. I was getting a massage and had no desire to watch the clock. I assumed, as was the case with every other massage I have had in my life, that this one would end at the agreed upon time. Ultimately, we walked out spending $70 more than we expected and I feel like this was the ultimate bait-and-switch sale. It's a shame that a business in downtown Evanston considers this the proper way to handle their customers.

I'm a Believer! Meghan Schmit is a very talented healer. I…read morewas seeing a conventional podiatrist about a bone spur in my heel that caused debilitating pain. My doctor wanted me to get an expensive MRI as a likely prelude to surgery. But I had heard about some great work that Meghan has done and thought that maybe I should investigate her approach before I start down the more conventional path of Western medicine. That was a very, very good decision on my part. I met with Meghan about 10 times over eight weeks for acupuncture on my heel and leg. Each session usually lasted about 45-55 minutes. In that time, Meghan got me back on my feet, pain-free and so much more. Not only did she effectively address the pain but she also prescribed a daily routine of specific stretches to help me get to the root of what caused the spur in the first place. And while we were at it, because I had mentioned feeling congested from allergies, she concocted an herbal tea recipe that completely cleared that up as well. Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been around for over 3,000 years. So I probably shouldn't have been surprised that it was so effective. What did NOT surprise me though was how thoughtful and careful and creative Meghan Schmit was in diagnosing my situation and expertly delivering the appropriate remedies. That was exactly what I was told to expect and she delivered the goods. Meghan takes her profession very seriously. And she is very, very good at it. I only wish there was a rating higher than five stars. --PH (63 y.o. male)

She will go as deep as you can handle but also listens when you ask for a little less. Maeva definitely delivers totally custom massage therapy and wants you to feel good. For a massage therapist that indicates on their website that they treat clients with dignity and respect, this response to someone reaching out to your business for the very first time is very unprofessional and contradictory to what they proclaim their values are.
