I had a Lumbar Fusion and if it wasn't for this team I don't think I would have had the recovery that I am in now. They are so professional very attentive and so caring. They made me smile daily and made me feel like I was important to them that it wasn't only a job for them. These nurse if I am saying this correctly, the PCT and the cleaning crew were so amazing,, I was so worried about the surgery and what I had to expect afterward but with this team in place that was far from my worries. The entire stay I felt I was in great hands and the surgery and recovery wasn't on my mind. I was up walking sitting etc same day and days afterward. This was in part Because of that team. No one told us what was going on and we were treated like if we were just standing in a deli line. Office staff and nursing staff could be much more accommodating and possibly review patient notes and same-day appointments with compassion.

First of all, I've never seen an urgent care clinic that offers urgent care to people to people making appointments and those as usual walking in. We arrived at 7:50 am right before the place opened. We filled out paper work and continued to sit and sit for over an hour. We started to notice people were walking in and being seen right away while he had been waiting! We finally went to the desk and asked about this. She said your wait time will be over an hour, this is how it works, do you want to make an appointment and come back? That's fine, but this should have all been explained in the beginning! What a waste of time! Especially sitting there as sick as I was. We returned later, during/after the visit was an extreme lack of communication. I asked the Dr. to write me a note for work. She never gave me instruction to wait in the room or returned promptly. I'm totally out of it and very sick left the building and went to the car. 2 minutes later realized I didn't have the note and asked my mom to go to the front desk and get it. My mom did. The front desk lady told her too bad, the doctor is now with someone else. You will have to come back and wait to get it!!!! I HAVE ALREADY BEEN HERE TWICE TODAY THAT IS NONSENSE! In addition, the icing on the cake.. for the medication I so badly needed... my mom filled out paperwork when we there originally at8am. Gave 2 pharmacy options; WALGREENS ON DEVON (24 hour... in case we finished early and could go get it right away) and OSCO on Busse Highway with normal business hours. At the end of appointment, she told the doctor and front desk MULTIPLE times please send to Osco since they are now open. They assured her they would. Of course they didn't.... they sent my medicine to Walgreens ON TOUHY. I'm lucky I have texts set up from Walgreens that gave me the address or I would have never know. And been driving all over the place with 104 fever!!!! Not happy. Will never return. Later that night, throat was so swollen, went to the ER. Doctor said it was so bad he didn't understand why the urgent care doctor didn't prescribe steroids. Also I had a mono test at Urgent care which came back negative. ER doctor assumes I have mono as well (because he actually touched my abdomen unlike the other doctor) it was very tender and swollen. Said that often the quick read mono tests provide false readings. Don't sacrifice your patience or health by coming to Presence.
