They shouldn't be in business. Our 4 item order took one hour because they lost our ticket. When I inquired about the order, instead of apologizing or saying they were expediting our order, the owner's response was "you can see we're f-ing busy". There were insects in their lemonade as well. Update: notice the business owner doesn't deny swearing at a customer or the insects in their drinks. The refund I received was for my raw ahi sandwich (which I failed to mention, thanks for the reminder :)) , not the poor service. read more

My son and I couldn't have been happier with our BBQ Chicken Sandwich while were visiting Evan's Bistro at the Sawdust Festival. To very large pieces of chicken, perfectly grilled, with muenster cheese - and just enough jalapenos (not too many for those who don't like things too spicy), with mayo, BBQ sauce, and yummy pickles on a fresh and tasty focaccia roll. Great combination of tastes and it was more filling than I suspected it would be. (Good thing we didn't add fries to the order, though we were tempted.) Evan has come up with a great combination of entrees and I would love to visit the Festival more just to try more of them out. I've included a photo of the menu board to give you time to think. By the way, Evan and her staff were super friendly. This is a great addition to Sawdust's food court. read more

Ahi salad was good, but they could learn how to service clients. We bought two $10 macaroni and cheese plates (one for my son and one for my daughter) and my daughter didn't like it. She ate about 10% or 20% of the plate. I brought it back and asked if they would be willing to replace it with something else like nuggets. I actually said I understand if you can't. The manager proceeded to tell me repeatedly (like 3-4 times) how no one dislikes their macaroni and cheese, and how it is made with gourmet products. She also kept saying it looks like your daughter 50% of the plate, when clearly she had only eaten a few bites. She eventually offered to give me half an order of nuggets (4 pcs) as a replacement after repeatedly telling me it looks like your daughter ate half the plate when it was nowhere close to that (my 20% estimate was generous). Either just tell me you can't replace the dish as that is your policy, and I can accept that, or replace it with a smile. Don't imply that something must be wrong with my daughter because everyone else loves your Mac and cheese except her. And don't try to make me sound like a liar like I had my daughter eat half her meal and then try to replace it. Why would you treat a customer like that? I just spent $100 on Mac and cheese, hot dog, and a salad. Just replace it or don't replace it. Don't try to imply I am trying to scam you out of some free nuggets! I came to the Sawdust Festival to enjoy the art. I didn't pay $10 for parking, $60 in tickets and $100 for food just so I could scam you out of $2 in frozen nuggets! read more

I have just got back from the sawdust festival. I went to order an ahi sandwich and asked them to hold the tarter sauce as I'm allergic to jalapeños. I was told no, no substitutions! I said I didn't want a substitution I just couldn't have the jalapeños so could they leave the tarter sauce off please. I was told no, "I suggest you order something else" How incredibly rude they were. I would not hire nor eat anything from people who treat people so rudely. read more

I just had Evan's at the Sawdust Festival and it was delicious. I have the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and it was great. I'm really picky about my BBQ sauce and this was really tangy and a little sweet with some spice but not too much. I hope to see them back next year. Thanks for the yummy lunch! read more

We're two senior citizens who just had a disgusting experience at Evan's Gourmet Bistro. We ordered two lunches and a lemonade. We asked for a cup of water and were told no but we could buy a water for $2.75 which we did. We asked for a cup of ice and got charged $1.84 for it. My wife asked them to take the red onions off her salad and they refused. She had to order a different salad which cost $13 and looked like a $5 side salad. My chicken sandwich was nowhere near gourmet. The Sawdust Festival should be ashamed of housing such an unfriendly to seniors establishment. If you are a senior citizen DON'T EAT AT EVAN'S GOURMET!! Spend your $$ on a eatery that cares about you. Evan's doesn't. They don't deserve one star. read more

The food at Evan's at the Sawdust Festival is the best! You're at a festival with talented artists, fun music and the option to eat delicious sit down restaurant quality food. It's such a great time! My favorites at Evan's Gourmet Bistro: Ahi Tuna sandwich, Arugula Salad with fresh grilled chicken or salmon, turkey chili, smoked tomato soup, Angus beef burger, tuna melt, grilled cheese steak cut crispy fries, asparagus cigars with garlic aioli, freshly made lemonade and jalapeño limeade. Wow Evan should really be more friendly. I asked for a different dressing for my salad and she quickly snapped that there was no substations and it comes with ranch. For a salad? Like what's the big deal? Then she asked if I wanted it on the side, ok so if you're putting my dressing on the side why can't I choose which one? What if I don't like ranch or can't have dairy? I have to order a whole different salad? And I thought I had read your choice of dressing so I asked about that and again she snapped "no it doesn't say that I would know I wrote it" I'd understand if I was asking for steak instead of chicken or something but I literally asked for a different dressing that you are about to go pour into a container after this order so it's not that hard to just pour a different one. Terrible customer service. It's a salad dressing for crying out loud, really wouldn't have caused her any struggle to just give me a different kind? If I wasn't so hungry I would've walked away and ordered somewhere else. Judging by the comments back to other people who left 1 star in assuming this won't matter very much but just a tip to maybe be more friendly because you really started my experience at the stardust festival off with bad energy. I love the food Evan is making at the Sawdust Festival. The first time I was there, I had the turkey meatloaf sandwich, and was blown away with the wonderful blend of seasonings and good texture. I went to the Sawdust Festival 7 times, and ate this sandwich four times. I also tried the only breakfast item on the menu, and I swear it's the only breakfast item because it's perfect -- no need for other selections! Her BBQ chicken sandwich is good, her fries are perfectly ciijed, and the deep fried asparagus wrapped in wontons was also delicious. I am hoping she has her food booth there for the Winter Fantasy!
