Beyond disappointe. we had a new roof installed a couple of years ago. About a year ago we started to see some leaks by our skylight (at the time of the installation Ted suggested new skylight, as we never had an issue in the past we said no thank. We have contacted Ted and received return text that he told us that we need new skylights. He has offered to fix it a few times and wrap and seal the leak. Lots of promises but no action We will contact another company that hopefully can finish the job we paid Ted for read more

We would recommend Ted and his team to anyone. The were neat, professional and left the yard cleaner than when they got here. He is knowledgeable and he and his team did a great job on our roof. read more

Ted and his crew did an impressive job installing the roof but they did not wrap one of the skylights correctly, causing a leak. I tried contacting him several times but got no response. A neighbor (who was getting a quote from him) told him about it, but he never replied. I hired someone else to fix his mistake. You don't need roofers who do not stand by their work. read more

If I could choose 0 as a rating I would. I found Evangelous online which had good reviews but I was wrong. I set up an appointment for an estimate and added it to my calendar to confirm. The day of the estimate I had lots of errands planned and left a meeting early to come home to meet Ted. No one showed up, no one called, nothing. I then called Ted to see what happened and to try and reschedule but didn't receive any response. I understand mistakes happen and thought there could have been a miscommunication but to not receive any response is shocking. I question the professionalism of a business when they can't even acknowledge a mistake or have the decency to call someone back. I'll be sure to mention how unreceptive Evangelous was to anyone I talk to and will highly recommend any other roofing company in the future. read more

I had a bunch of shingles blown off my roof and I called Evangelous and they came the same day to repair thankfully! Very professional and reasonably priced, they also noticed I was starting to get squirrels building a nest in one of my eaves, they placed a trap and fixed the problem that could've turned into a something so much worse...can't say enough good things about these guys!! read more

Made an appointment for an estimate and no one showed up. Texted and no response. To not show up for an estimate on a job that would bet thousands for your company? Seriously?! read more

If you are in the Metro West area of Massachusetts and need to have a roof repaired or replaced I would highly recommend Evangelous Construction (Southborough Roofing). I would rate them 5-Stars (out of a possible 5-Stars) for the fantastic service they provided when replacing my roof after the freak Halloween snow storm sent an oak tree crashing through my roof. I have never thought of a business as a 5-Star unless it was extraordinary in the following areas: (1) Ease of Contact, (2) Speed of response, (3) Accurate and detailed estimate, (4) Performing the work professionally, on time and within expected estimate, (5) Clean-up and prompt invoicing. In all these 5 areas Evangelous Construction performed extremely well and went beyond my expectations. Ted Evangelous is a certified Master Installer for GAF roofing materials and he was at the job each day to ensure the work was done right. His crew was well trained and they worked extremely hard without a break to get the roof completed in one day (before it rained the next day). His crew acted professionally and was respectful of my family and I was totally comfortable having them at my home. As former Army Construction Engineer I was paying close attention to the workmanship and the craftsmanship on the roof was excellent. Here's the full story if you want to read more... The freak snow storm in October (the day before Halloween) caused many trees in the area to snap under the weight of all the snow. An oak tree landed on my roof and punched a 4 foot hole and ripped off my gutters, soffits and damaged my garage door. I called my insurance company and they sent out a company called ASR Construction in Framingham (that was very poor and I refused to let them do anything to the roof but) place a tarp over the hole in the roof. I looked on-line for a better roofing company and promptly found Evangelous Construction. I read the details on their website and then hit the "Contact Us" button and got a call back that same day. Ted Evangelous (owner) came out to review the damage and provided a detailed written estimate the very next day. He answered questions for my insurance company and the work was approved. Ted Evangelous knew that having a hole in the roof was causing me stress. He had a 6 man crew on-site and they replaced the entire roof in one day! They had other roofing to complete that week, but assured me that Saturday his team would arrive and repair the following: fascia board, aluminum sheathing, drip edge, gutters and fix the garage door. They did exactly as promised and they made sure that every nail and piece of roofing material that fell on the ground was removed by walking the entire yard with two 4-foot wheeled magnets. They even climbed through the bushes with a 1-foot magnet on a shaft to make sure not a single nail or shingle piece the size of a fingernail was left in the yard. It was amazing that they spent 2-hours making sure my roof, gutters and yard looked perfect. Ted dropped of the invoice as requested the next day and I was able to get my check from the insurance company much faster as a result. As a former U.S. Marine, Ted Evangelous is as demanding of his construction crew as a drill instructor, but as a result he deserves the high praise for exceptional work and a 5-Star rating. read more

Ted, didnt do my roof, but he and his men cleaned the snow off my roof twice. His price was competitive and he did the job as expected. He was there when I needed.. Dependable person and dependable service. If I ever want to get my roof done, I will run by him first. He responds well. He could be reached better if you leave him a text message than a phone call. read more

I contacted this company three times via their website for a roofing job quote. NO RESPONSE Stay away!

Quality job at a great price. Ted and his crew did a great job replacing my 28 year old shingles. New shingles look great and have ice and water shield underneath and new ridge vent. Also installed soffit vents that house was lacking. Ted took the extra time after job to come by himself and make sure all nails and debris were cleaned up from yard and driveway. Would highly recommend Evangelous Roofing. read more

Ted was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, conscientious, and clean! He replaced our entire roof and if I could have put 10 stars, I would have! From the very first meeting, we knew we were in expert hands. Our roof was huge, very steep, and in tough shape. We were also fighting with the insurance company for them to make repairs caused by hurricane winds. He took all the photos they required, and communicated to them on our behalf. As for the shingles, he gave us a lot of excellent options to choose from, discussing warranties, longevity, etc. He also helped recommend the right color. We thought we wanted the same color we'd had before, but boy, were we wrong! He helped us pick the perfect color! On roofing day, he came in with a large crew and completed the job in a quick 2-day sweep! The best part was they protected all our mature foundation plantings with tarps and used extra care of those that were not under the tarp. He had guys literally holding the bottom of the tarp so that all the heavy debris stayed off our plants, trees, and flowers. We have a lot of gardens, so they really went over and above, here! Not one plant single was damaged or crushed! At the end of the project, there was virtually no evidence left behind that this HUGE messy job had been done -- except our new gorgeous roof! Not a nail, not a piece of shingle, not a broken branch. This crew worked so well together, and were incredibly friendly and happy (which was amazing since they were on a hot roof in the heat of the day!!!) They exceeded any and all expectations, and Ted was there overseeing it all. read more

Ted and his team were awesome! We had our house, garage, and screened in gazebo roof done. The team did a fantastic job quick and easy no issues. Whole project for 3 roofs was done in 4 days of work. Ted and team was a delight to work with and went the extra mile. With our work being done in the fall they left our yard looking better than before they started. Would hire them again in a heartbeat. read more

Ted did our roof in 2009 during the hailstorm. Ted's a nice guy, he came recommended from a neighbor and we didn't want to go with one of the storm chasers from out of state. After he did the roof, we started noticing dampness in the attic which was not there prior to the roof being done. Slowly over the next several years, mold began to grow. I've tried to contact Ted several times via phone, email, text and snail mail to have him take a look and he has ignored me completely. It's going to be a complicated fix. I'm not sure Ted's crew did anything wrong, not sure exactly. However, the cobra vent on the ridge that they used is likely one of the main issues for my attic issue. There are much better products on the market. I will now have to have this done at a costly rate. The mold cleanup will cost even more. Ted's crew could very well have done my roof satisfactory and to code. But, his lack of response really hurts as we had faith in going local and now are realizing that we have a huge fix and cleanup ahead of us. Would have been nice for Ted to take an interest. read more

A fair price, outstanding service, quality materials, and a professional staff, what more can one ask for? We also needed some home repairs that were the result of a poorly installed roof the first time. Ted took care of it all. read more

Evangelous Roofing was excellent. The pricing was very competitive, they arrived on time, completed the project perfectly and cleaned up everything after. No detail was overlooked. Would definitely recommend and use again. read more

There were 3 criteria that I was looking for when finding a roofer for my very outdated flat roof over my sunroom; experience, professionalism, and affordability. Ted Evangelous and his crew met all three with ease. We called Ted for his opinion on how to deal with our roof in mid winter in order to start collecting quotes, a process I thought would take awhile. Ted's quote came back quickly, detailed, at a great price, and with examples of other roofs he's done in the area. He was professional as he kept in contact and returned phone calls (rare, I found during this experience of finding roofing contractors!). Ted paid attention to detail around the chimney, something that other roofers did not include in their quote, so I felt very confident in his ability. Because this was quoted during "off season", he recommended that we wait until the weather was consistently warm to allow the glue to dry when he replaced the rubber. Again, Ted showed to not only validate his expertise and trustworthiness, but he indeed called us back during a warm spell in the spring to fit us into his schedule. It was a relief to not have to chase him down during my hectic life style as a working mom. We are hoping he will come back in 5 years to redo our roof on the rest of our house! And he was more than happy to offer contacts for other work we may need doing around the house. We couldn't be happier with service from Ted Evangelous Roofing, and will keep him on our list for future work and/or for referrals. read more

They did our roof and three skylights and I wish I had never hired them. They left nails on the lawn and on the roof and plastic behind our bushes. I'm still trying to get the roof granules out of my hot tub. When I opened up my attic door, I received a face full of debris from the nails going into the wood. I had offered plastic that I had to cover items in storage in my attic. They didn't use anything. Everything is covered. They were paid by our insurance to do the "underlayment" below the shingles on the pool house just like the house, but they slapped it up over the old shingles. I asked them to rip off the old and they did but still nothing underneath which voids the shingle warranty. They insisted we hand over the insurance quote before their quote and then never gave us anything. They just said they would do it for what the insurance quote was and admitted they were getting paid more than what they normally charge, but it was for their trouble in helping contact the insurance company. They were told right away one of the electric blinds wasn't aligned properly on the skylight they installed. That was November 2016. They used to say they would come out soon and finish the job. Now they don't even answer our texts or emails. I feel taken advantage of. My insurance paid them and they just don't care now. I would advise finding another roofing company. No one needs this kind of headache and there have to be more reputable companies. read more
