Dr K quickly determined my essential problem is arthritis; no surgery, no time off training, no recuperation. Noting the reviews of others, yes, as in just about any medical office, it's not uncommon to experience a bit of a wait on occasion. The X-ray technician was pretty brusk. Give me time and I could probably pick another nit or two. Bottom line, however, I couldn't be more satisfied.

The pre-auth team does NOT care about the patients. I was scheduled for two procedures, and for both procedures I was lied to and told a pre-auth was submitted. After I contacted my health insurance company myself, I was told it was never submitted. This applies to two different procedures: one in July and one in September. There has to be better offices out here that have more respect and care for their patients. This isn't it! Waiting 2 weeks at the minimum is unacceptable for a pre-auth to be submitted. It is truly unacceptable and very unprofessional! And then to LIE about it both times is truly unacceptable! That said I won't be going back and will look for better care elsewhere. Dr. Kittridge and Dr. Yeh are both good doctors, but the unprofessional support team has run me away! If you want great care, look elsewhere!

I previously had the same surgery on my right foot with a different orthopedic surgeon, and the recovery was extremely long and painful. Because of that experience, I was honestly nervous going into this procedure. However, Dr. Schipper completely changed my expectations. I experienced minimal pain and very little swelling, and the healing process was fast and smooth. The incision work was excellent -- only three small incisions that healed beautifully. The difference in recovery compared to my prior surgery was night and day. Dr. Schipper is not only highly skilled but also very kind and reassuring. He takes time to explain everything and makes you feel prepared and comfortable before surgery. Previously, my brother lived on his own, drove a car and went to activities like lunch at the local senior center. However, since the surgery, he has become incoherent, confused and spends his days in a wheelchair at a nursing home. The nursing home staff recommends that he be placed in long-term care. My brother was released from the hospital and admitted to a local nursing home for rehab on August 22. I called Dr. Martinelli's office to voice my concerns about my brother's condition and was placed on hold for about 20 minutes. I conveyed my concerns to his assistant who answered the phone. Dr. Martinelli did call me back a couple of times, saying he was busy and would try me another time. My brother is a wreck, thanks to this disastrous surgery and the cavalier follow-up from the doctor's office. I regret that my brother had the surgery and would not recommend Dr. Martinelli or his staff to anyone.
