Initial install went well. Then. We had delays with our permit. Which is still not finalized but it is scheduled and should be final within a week. So progress. Al that said, the fact that unexpected issues arise is not the problem with many contractors. The issue rests with how they resolve them. How timely are their responses. Do they value your time spent following up. In this case, related to the delays, EV Electric continued to respond promptly. They did have a hand in the delays we experienced, however, they owned it. They didn't avoid the awkward conversations. They followed through and even looked for ways to make amends. We weren't looking for a rebate or a discount. We simply wanted what we paid for. In the end they appear to be coming through and they stayed engaged in lieu of the delays. All said, we highly recommend. Everyone shines when things are good. The fiber of what a business is made of shines through when challenges arise. read more

Fantastic service, great price. I am pretty capable of handling basic electrical work on my own and have done a bunch of small projects at home. When it came to an issue with some lights that stopped working in my office, I tried to fix it myself by swapping out the light switch but that didn't work and I did not want to make things worse by messing with wiring so I checked Yelp and Reddit to find a highly recommended electrician which is how I landed on EV Electric. Their response time was pretty much immediate, and their rate was super reasonable. Stefan was the electrician who did the job and he was great. He was very persistent about making sure the repair was properly done, and he was super friendly. I will absolutely use them again for home or office projects. read more

The installation went great, or so I thought. I had EV Electric install a Tesla wall charger back in May and they were nice enough to hide the conduit and wire in my attic above the side of my house and then come back down 15' away so I see very minimal amount of electrical on the outside of my house. I paid $340 for an inspection through Sacramento County (paid directly to EV Electric) and I was told that the inspector would reach out within a couple of weeks. This is where the problem starts. It's been three months and I still have not heard from the county or from anyone really about the inspection. I've left three voicemails with EV Electric and have used the Yelp app to ask them to call me back, and emailed them in addition, and no response to anything. Now their business hours on Yelp say they will not be open until January of next year. estimated time, for temporary closure. My next step will be to call the county directly about the inspection, but my guess is that the $340 that I paid to EV Electric has not been paid to them and I will have to pay it again and try to get my money back through this company that is not even open at this point. If you're the owner, please contact me ASAP. I've been more than patient. read more

This is based strictly on customer service during consultation as we haven't had the service yet. Nemo came out and completed a thorough consultation. Even in the 100 degree weather, he did not miss a beat and maintained a professional and friendly demeanor. Will definitely be using EV electric for our future installation. read more

2nd attempt through yelp to try and get a call back. Have left several messages and emails since Christmas. The Ev charger your company installed is not working properly. I also can't locate a physical address to your company. Can someone contact me back please? I hope your company has not gone our of business or on the verge. read more

These guys were great. I called them around noon to install a Tesla wall charger and Tina was able to send someone over 3 hours later. Great experience start to finish. I wanted a quote to put in an EV charger to get begin budgeting for the future. Matt worked up 4 quotes for me so I could compare various scenarios of charger type and placement in the garage. We ended up getting an EV a bit earlier than planned, I gave EV Electric a call and they were able to get me scheduled 3 days later. Chester and another installer came and the process was smooth. Signed some paper work, and the job was done 3.5 hours later. They were able to deduct the SMUD rebate directly from the job and I just paid the difference. Simple! read more

I had a wonderful experience with this company, they were reliable, trustworthy, honest and very professional. I purchased a Tesla wall charger and needed it installed. Jose was the electrician and he was tremendous. He was skillful, knowledgeable and extremely professional. He did a very clean installation of my wall Charger. Great job! We've had an amazing experience with this company. They're very honest, straight forward and did the job very fast and efficiently. Chester and Vitaliy, the electricians who came over at our house back in July 2023, were both so professional, friendly and they even cleaned up the mess that came from installing our Tesla Home Charger. They did it so quickly and neatly. I totally recommend this place. Thank you guys! read more

Jose came out and did a thorough inspection and also made some suggestions that benefited me. Honest and upfront.

Great communication and friendly service. Offered fair prices and was a knowledgeable all around.

My husband and I recently got an electric vehicle and needed a charger. We reached out to EV electric and we were able to get quick and quality service. As soon we reached out we were able to get immediately scheduled by one of their qualified electricians and get a quote instantly. I feel we got a great deal. The electrician came over and was able to install the Juice Box charger in less than half an hour. The electrician arrived on time and offered as part of the service to give an indoctrination on how to use the charger. As part of the service EV Electric handled all the paperwork with SMUD to get the rebate which covered most of the cost. They scheduled the county to come and do the inspection and made the process very easy. If you are looking to get a charger for your vehicle for a good cost and in a timely fashion I would recommend them. read more

Customer service and planning for the install was great. The problem is the wall charger was installed early July 2024, and I have no permit. I paid EV Electric $250 for the permit with the city, and EV Electric has not filed or fulfilled their promise with the permit. I've called, texted and emailed the company. The last response was from the owner, Matt, on 7/28/24 indicating they had a problem with the permitter working for them and he is "working on the backlog but it is quite large." Now it appears the company is no longer in business. read more

Service scheduled the same day i called. EV charging station working great. Personnel very responsive & easy to work with.

I contacted EV Electric to install a 240V Outlet to charge my Audi etron. They responded very quickly, set up an appointment to perform the when and took care of all the permit paperwork, scheduling SMUD inspection etc so I could get my SMUD EV rebate of $500 towards the cost. They charged me $800, but with the EV SMUD rebate, the effective cost was $300 out of pocket which is super reasonable. Highly recommend using them. read more

We had the Tesla wall charger installed from May 28. We paid them labor and $200 for City of Elk Grove's permit fee and we were told it would take 7-10 days to hear back from the city, but it's been almost 2 1/2 months and we haven't got anything. We followed up with them last month and we were told the application was not submitted yet?!?! For liability and safety, we've expected they have it processed sooner. read more

The work was performed well, but they never sent my permit paperwork. It has now been 5 months and they finally sent me permit paperwork..... for the wrong address. Emails and phone calls are now being ignored. It seems like they went out of business and abandoned all customers with outstanding issues. I will be contacting BBB and filing a complaint. The least they could do it respond to an email text or phone call read more

When we bought our house last year, we knew we'd need to get the 55 year old Zinsco panel replaced sooner rather than later. When I got an eGolf, it forced my hand, and I went to the Internet to get some recommendations and quotes for a 240v line for the EV charger, a new panel, and a couple of lights for our garage. Matt was one of the first to reply and schedule a time to come give a quote. While I was initially a little hesitant to hire Matt due to the lack of reviews for his business, he was prompt, friendly, flexible, and detail-oriented in discussing options with me for the work I wanted done, in addition to providing a competitive bid. I decided I'd give him a shot. I'm really glad that I did. Matt was always on time (or early), professional, thorough, precise, and clean in his work, and provided regular and clear communication as well. Our project had a few unforeseen challenges along the way, and Matt did a great job of addressing each one as they arose. Overall, he didn't just meet my expectations, he exceeded them. In short, I'm very happy with Matt's work and will absolutely look to him for any electrical needs I have in the future. read more

I cannot rave enough about EV Electric! From our very first interaction, in regards to this particular project (even though it was a small project -- new electric outlet installation), Matt has always been upfront about the estimate and has not given me the run around in regards to pricing. I especially love that he's upfront, professional, prompt in his response whenever I had a question both prior and during the project, reliable, clean (he even brought his own vacuum to clean up after himself), came on time, was prepared, and extremely respectful (when he arrived, I asked if he would use shoe covers, and he did not hesitate). I appreciated that Matt showed up in a mask due to the current pandemic at the moment and kept his mask on the entire time. I would highly recommend EV Electric to anyone who's looking to do any project, both big or small. I, for one, will definitely be calling Matt again for my next electrical need. read more

Bought an electric car and needed the 40 amp plug installed in my garage. My 100 amp electric panel wasn't robust enough to add on 40 amps, but they had a hardware workaround that made it work. Got the work done and today I passed inspection. As the name implies, these are the guys to call when you need this kind of work done. The two guys who did the work were professional and very competent and the person in their office who coordinated everything was super helpful.
