Andrew and his team are THE greatest. This is, by FAR, the best place I've ever taken my car to. For many years before moving north, he provided great service for my vehicles. Always straight-up, no BS, no upselling, just plain facts about what your car does and doesn't need. Repairs were always perfect and well-priced. Not to mention the fact that Andrew is just a great guy in general. He truly cares about making sure your vehicle is in good shape but he also genuinely cares about his customers. After I left town, my mom continued to take her car to him for service. I appreciate the fact that he always treated her like family. Every visit was pleasant and she always called me to let me know that he asked her about me and my family. Mom is now up north with us. Our family's one true regret about moving is that we can no longer take our vehicles to Andrew. We SO miss his fantastic service, his kind heart and his epic smile.

As a general rule, I have never trusted chain repair shops, and we always brought our cars to the…read moredealer in the past. When our Q3 was totaled in an accident, we wound up going against our better judgement and buying used from carmax. Less than a year later the transmission was giving out- luckily we had purchased the extended warranty. We only went to Tuffy because it was one of the preferred vendors for the warranty service so we assumed it would make things smoother, plus it knocked a bit off the deductible. The Carmax warranty company wound up being a monumental pain to work with and tried to get out of paying for a new transmission saying they didn't think it was actually broken even though it sounded like a blender with a bag of bolts in it when you were in any forward gear. Luckily, Chastity went to war with them on our behalf, getting them to send out a second inspector and then making sure that inspector saw and heard what they needed to. She then continued to go to war with them after they agreed that it was broken but wanted them to put in a used transmission instead of a new one. She convinced them that was not viable and that they needed to cover new parts. After that, we discovered that our transmission was on a widespread back order and the earliest any Audi dealership could get it in was going to be about two months. Chastity still didn't stop there - she called all around and pulled strings with connections she had, and tracked down the new Audi transmission we needed at another (competitor) shop or a that happened to have one on hand, and arranged to buy that one from them - cutting our two month wait down to a few days. Additionally, while we had the car in, we decided to move ahead with replacing the brakes and rotors which were nearing the end of their lives (rotors were extra worn because of a dust shield rubbing on them that Carmax didn't spot) because they were hanging a sale and it was going to be about half off if memory serves. Chastity reached out to me to explain that while they could put in the store brand brakes and rotors that were covered by the promotion, she actually wouldn't recommend it because for our particular model and trim level, there are regularly issues with the car's sensors not working well with the store brand. She recommended using dealer parts, which wound up costing about double what the promo price for the store brand was, so she gave us the dealer parts at cost with no markup to make up a bit of the difference (despite the fact that the cost difference was not her fault). Chastity and Derek were both far more patient with us than I would have been, with us calling way too frequently. While we will probably never buy another car from Carmax, Chastity has definitely earned our trust and we will gladly continue to bring our car to her in the future.

Scott is amazing at what he does. He's the kind of guy that doesn't cut corners and is very…read morereasonably priced. I had issues with torque converter shudder on my Land Rover. Scott was quick to jump to inexpensive repairs first rather than telling me it needed a new transmission like all the others. In the end the torque converter was shot, so opted to put in a newer used transmission at the same time (transmission has to come out anyways for torque converter replacement). Truck runs perfectly now. Looking at Scott's work, all heat shields, cables, ties are back exactly where they were before he started. I'd trust him every time with any transmission work that needs doing.

My wife made an appointment with Eurowise to get the turn signal fixed. She was told that it could…read morebe a simple fix and there would be a diagnostic fee. The techs came back and said that it would be $1200 to make the repair and that she owed $190 to diagnose the issue. $190 to not fix anything and then quote us $1200 to fix the turn signal! There was not option to refund the diagnostic fee if the service was booked. This seems egregious and greedy at the same time. We had decent experiences with this shop in the past but this is ridiculous.
