I don't know why they are hating this place but they are older reviews; maybe, it's changed management or they listened to their customers. This place is situated in the North Star Village Mall. It's located right in front of the ice rink during winter days. I loves crepes or dessert so we had to pass by. Smelling the sweet dessert was hard to resist. Might I add, we didn't even have lunch yet! What's wrong with dessert first?! Hahaha I had 'The Swiss' which was banana and Nutella crepes! So good!! They didn't ghip you on ingredients. I wanted another. My family all finished theirs quick too and said it was very good except my hubby's frog dog. It was more bread than dog. The price is a little high but what do you expect when this is at North Star Village?! They also served candy and other sweet treats as in my pictures. The only thing I didn't like was the order in which they served their customers at the window. You can easily cheat and say you didn't get your order. Staff was nice and friendly. Also, you have to wait at the outside window! It was freezing outside! Totally recommend the place for dessert...it will be hard to resist the sweet smell of goodness. [163/100]

Chocolate gelato was so great! My husband got the Texas pecan that was extremely sweet but yummy. Crepes looked good, but gelato was cheaper so we got that instead.

    He Swiss! Nutella and bananas

Delish! A no brainer here. 4 star only because they are a bit over priced but otherwise it would be a 5. Typical for a resort. YUM!

Perfect location when visiting Northstar on a warm beautiful summer day. I was highly shocked at the other Yelp reviews. It seems as they were only complaining about the price. This is to be expected. You were at a resort you are in a location of miles away from anything less expensive. It's called supply and demand. It cost more for this establishment to run effectively therefore their prices are going to be higher than if you were in the main city. I did not mind paying the extra price because the location and the fact that I wanted something sweet to eat! So now for the actual review. Do you want frozen yogurt with toppings? Gelato? Sorbet? Jelly Bellies? Or some pastries? This establishment has it all! It was well stocked, clean and adequately staffed. In fact the staff is amazing. During our visit they had 2 young students here on a Visa one from the Czech Republic and the other from Poland. I think it's amazing that businesses can offer individuals the opportunity to work overseas. That's what I found most interesting about this establishment. We were well served and they even offered samples because they had flavors that I never even heard of :-) definitely would go again if I'm ever up in Northstar again.

These people clearly have "Euro" grammar if anything.

I was headed for Carson City, so I swung by. While I was there, I also got some of their amazing chocolates again. The lady was very nice, same as last time, and I asked for a sample of the jalapeño brittle. I took a bite, and. *WOW......* that stuff is "jalapeño business." :). It definitely has a kick to it. It's on the upper end of what I like for spicy, but I really enjoyed it a lot. The heat takes a couple of seconds to kick in, and then The sweetness of the brittle helps temper it a bit. I bought a bag, which should last me for quite a while, but when I'm ready for another, hopefully they will still carry it. Definitely worth trying. Thank you

They offer a huge selection of candies to choose from, also fudge and ice creams. Whenever I'm out and spot a jar of honey I must purchase it!? So yes, I got a jar of their local raw honey, it's divine! We were given multiple free samples, because who turns down free chocolate;) They were so kind and answered all of our questions. Everything we tried was so so good! The dark chocolate sea salt caramels behind the glass were my personal favorite!! Their peanut butter cups are made in house, so good! Even the malt balls were bomb! I'm not even a malt ball kind of gal but they are triple dipped in dark chocolate and oh so delightful! We bought our weight in chocolate today, I'm not even a little bit ashamed of it. Even though this business is a bit out of the way from Reno, we had such a wonderful experience we will absolutely be returning for more chocolate! I'm sad I've waited so long before trying this place.

She is gluten free and was impressed at how good all the gluten free items were, and how they were able to keep an extremely similar menu even. She only had one item that was completely different than what I received (a cheesecake instead of a fruit tart). You can really tell that they work hard to ensure the gluten free menu is as amazing as the non gluten free one. Everything was absolutely delicious, including the bottomless tea. I think the peach cardamom scone was my favorite today! I was happy that they could make my tea iced as it was a really hot summer day. The server was amazing, she was attentive and friendly. The place settings were super cute and I felt transported to England. I am definitely going to come back a third time with some friends! I love that the menu changes every month so you always have something new to try! Don't forget to make reservations!

The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful as this was our 1st tea time. The shop is bright and airy but it was a a bit smaller than I expected. The tea setting was beautifully done but our table was extremely small which made teatime challenging at times. During the teas each person gets their own pot of unlimited tea. We did the Jasmine Glow tea and the Strawberry Chocolate Pu'erh. The teas were amazingly delicious! They were so good that we bought some to bring home. The bites were flavorful, just the right size, and complemented each other beautifully. You could taste the love and care that went into each one of the items. They also offer 2 speciality adult beverages each month. The Prosecco float was my favorite! This was a wonderful and delicious experience. We can't wait for next month's tea!

Happy hour: unfortunately, the head chef was out of town and the sous chef was unable to make two of the four items on the happy hour menu. This did limit what my brother could eat since he has medical dietary restrictions that prevent him from being able to eat gluten or dairy. He essentially could have nothing lol. There was a Wagyu slider on the menu and we asked if they could just turn it into a small salad with no dairy and they said yes! Everyone else also ordered the sliders as a happy hour dish and they were very good. The wine price for happy hour was on the pricey side with red wine averaging $15 per glass. I think in the future, I would skip happy hour unless all items are available to order and I'd stick with beer for a more affordable happy hour price. 2. Breakfast: a small group of us enjoyed breakfast together and this was probably my favorite meal. I loved the variety on the menu and service was very good as well. I had the breakfast quesadilla, my fiancé had the breakfast burrito, my dad had the Chilaquiles, and my stepmom had the avocado toast. She did wish that the avocado toast was made with a thicker slice of toast as this just looked like grocery store sliced bread. Outside of that, we all felt like our breakfasts had a great amount of flavor and would definitely recommend coming back. My brother and a few other families also dined here throughout the trip and mentioned their love of the restaurant for breakfast as well. 3. Dinner: our last meal as a family was spent here. Our server from happy hour the day before was our server tonight, so we knew it would be a great experience! She was on top of all our orders, friendly, and accommodating. While most of the food was delicious, several of us mentioned that our vegetables were undercooked and almost tasted raw. Too much crunch and not enough cook. That being said, I highly recommend ordering the bread, the Shishito peppers, and the steak. Those were our favorite bites of the night! Honorable mention goes to the soba noodles and the salmon. If it weren't for those vegetables, I would definitely order the salmon again!
