This small little place produces some big flavours! On my trip to Nova Scotia my friends said this was a must go to place...one of their favourite take out in Halifax! This place is not fancy to look at but the flavours in their foods were a treat for the taste buds. My girlfriend and I shared the Souvlaki Pita to start with and then a Chicken Dinner for each of us. The thin sliced meat was marinated and so flavourful...as was the tzatziki. Fresh pita served warm on the side of the Chicken dinner was so good dipped in the generous portion of tzatziki...so often with Greek food you run out of tzatziki but not the case here! They were both generous with flavour and quantities. If in Halifax and craving some mouth watering Greek grab some take out and enjoy! I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Let me explain. Euro Pizza is a small business pizza shop. Yes, they only take cash or debit cards. But be warned, your debit card may not work! That's what happened when I went. I'm in Halifax for a business trip and stayed a few nights at the Best Western Chocolate Lake. I decided to order pick up pizza over the phone since Euro is just across the street. I walk over to do so after 20 mins with my debit card in my hands, hungry for some fresh pizza. My debit card is denied. I try all the ATMs in the area and they all deny it (probably cause I'm from The States and my banks l decided to be lame). So seeing that I'm desperate and hungry, the worker offers to drive me to the bank to get cash because he needs to pick up something at the liquor store anyways. So at the liquor store I decide to try to get cash advance with my credit card figuring my debit card is acting wonky, but the worker comes up with a great idea: I'll just buy the pizza's worth in beer for him and he'll pay for the pizza with his cash! I buy him a case of Canadian beer, and he drives me back to pick up the pizza! Amazing service. Nice people. If this isn't great Canadian customer service I don't know what is. Thank you! Why settle for regular garlic fingers when you can have the Roasted Garlic fingers? After reading some positive reviews on Yelp on Euro pizza I decided to give it a try. We ordered a medium Roasted Garlic fingers and a large All Meats pizza. I've driven by this hole-in-the-wall place quite a few times, and have never imagined it would be dishing out sophisticated garlic fingers like this! I was blown away. You can see the actual roasted garlic on it. It also came with their house-made Tzatziki sauce. Garlicky and cheesy gooeyness, topped with refreshing Tzatziki equals the perfect garlic fingers. Their pizza sauce is on the sweeter side. It went really well with our all meats pizza. The pizza crust is more "biscuity" than the usual "bready" texture. Personally I prefer the chewy kind of dough so this one didn't hit home for me. Tasty nonetheless. My breath still smells like garlic. Hahaha! read more

I only ever get the same thing at this place. I was first introduced to the chicken dinner during a night shift at work. And I have been hooked ever since. It's so simple and yet perfect. The dish is made up of a greek salad which is probably my favourite part and I'm not a big salad person. It's tomato, cucumber, red onion and feta with an oil dressing. Then there's chicken souvlaki and a fresh pita with a mountain of homemade best-I-ever-had tzatziki. The tzatziki has a great garlic spin on it and did I mention they make it themselves? I personally like to let the pita soak up the oil dressing and then dip it in the tzatziki, try it and you'll see what I mean! I've been ordering this dish for a couple years now and I never tire of it. And best of all, it's the perfect late night food without the heavy pit in your stomach feeling. It's amazing how good it is and still has nutrition at the same time. I love it so much that I never order anything else. To top it off, the men who work here are super sweet. Based on the really good reviews on Yelp, I decided to give this place a try, as we were looking for a change from the chain pizza stores. I ordered by phone, great number 479-7979, and my husband picked it up. We ordered a 3 ingredient large. The pizza was ready on time and the man on the phone was friendly. My husband paid cash. The location is just up the Bay Road from the Rotary. So we opened the box and dug in. I liked the crust which was medium thick, chewy and fluffy. I also noted the tomato sauce which had a sweet and tangy flavour. The cheese on top was thick and gooey. The green pepper and mushrooms were garden fresh. And I savoured the salty taste of the big black olives. This pizza was a delicious treat and we enjoyed every bite! read more

Ok... How is this place new to me? Apparently they have been around for-ever but I just found them! On the hunt for some "late night, tired after work, couldn't even try to cook" meal and my brother happened to mention Euro Pizza...boy am I glad he did! The garlic fingers had roasted garlic on them and a fantastic amount of cheese!! (Because cheese is always welcome in my books!) There are 2 options and the regular comes with donair sauce while the deluxe comes with tzatziki. I stopped by here on the way home to grab a Pizza on the recommendation of Sara ( fellow Yelp). I have driven by here all my life and for some reason do not know why I never stopped. Well, it may be because the exterior is a place I would normally drive by. But I am happy to say , today I stopped. This really is a takeout place only and Cash Only. There are 4 stools to sit at and wait for your food. Today the owner and a young guy were working. I order one of the large pizza with 5 topping, this was $16.95. I give these guys a four star alone for using Kalamata Olives. These were delicious. Really salty, huge and fresh. We loved them! The crust was light and crisp and the tomato sauce was pretty tasty. The critiques in this house ate it , no problem. I even threw on hot peppers. It is a pretty good Pizza Place for the neighbourhood. The staff were very nice and there was a local station CBC playing some really good tunes. read more

This pizza is disgusting. We ordered the meat lovers pizza with extra cheese. We were staying at the best western across the street and decided to try it out. When we got back to the hotel and opened the box it was very disappointing. It looked and tasted like it was a frozen pizza from the grocery store. Toppings scarce and could tell they were previously frozen. We paid $30 for a frozen pizza. Don't go by the reviews on here. There is no way anyone could give this pizza place a star. Pizza places are everywhere in Halifax but this one is unique in so many ways. Ask the owner to change something on his menu and forget about it and thank goodness for that! Just Let him make his food and you will be impressed with the taste and quality. Not an eat in place but you'll find a couple chairs, the donairs are great and the pan pizzas are the best I've ever had. I'm going to say it. Euro Pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. And I have a lot of pizza. It used to be on my drive to and from Dal. It took years before I finally stopped by and ordered a regular pepperoni pizza. And. Oh. My. God. Soooooo tasty. Crispy bread on the outside, fluffy and warm on the inside. Loads of tomato sauce. Euro Pizza is great. It kind of stands perfectly in the middle of gourmet and expensive and the type of greasy slice you crave late at night. The crust is pretty good and the toppings are amply tossed atop, creating tasty and flavorful pies. My pizza of choice from Euro is the Greek. They put a lot of oregano on this baby, which gives it that nice authentically Greek taste. The delivery time in my experience has been pretty good, with one or two occasions stretching into the hour-hour and a half range. It always arrives hot and the prices are pretty good. Pizza was good, until after a bite I noticed a long hair hanging out from under the toppings. It was neither mine nor my friends because the hair was long and we both have short hair (plus it was cooked into the freaking Pizza!) When I called to let them know, they denied it, saying "no one here has long hair". While all I wanted was an apology, they were not ready to give one. Pita on the bottom, romaine lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, mixed with a homemade mix of olive oil and vinegar topped with home made teziki(sp) sauce. This is not really a sit-down restaurant; it's a takeout, delivery, or super casual, counter-top eating. This is mainly due to the out of the way location. Therefore I wont be talking about the physical place, just the food. It offers a variety of different pizzas, slices, salads, souvlaki and dinners, with almost everything made from scratch (i even heard a rumor the yogurt was made in house)! It's gourmet pizza, for take-out prices. High quality, delicious, with a home-made style. There is a variety of different pizzas options written on the chalkboard menu, almost something for everyone. Personally I love all the olive oil based pizzas, as I'm not a huge fan of tomato sauce in general, but my red sauce loving friend assures me its great. I am a crust-leaver, I can never finish those last un-topped bites. But I always eat every last bite of Euro Pizza. The crust is thinner than your usual take-out pizza, which to me, is a good thing. I hear the souvlaki is tops, but cannot confirm. One time I ventured for a ceasar salad, which was huge, but not the greatest dressing. It is never a long wait, and there are seats available to wait or sit down and eat. I have only ever done pick-up, as a friend lived almost across the street, but they do delivery also. The fresh pita they serve is great, the taziki is the best I've ever had. I've passed by Euro Pizza several times before but never got around to trying this place out until recently. To make a long story short the food was decent and the employees were friendly but I won't be going back there a second time. I went there on a Sunday night and order a large pizza and garlic fingers. A guy working there told me my order would be ready in 10-15 mins so I decided to wait around inside. 50 mins later I receive my order. However, that wasn't really my biggest concern. While I was waiting for my order I took the time to observe the employees preparing and cooking the food. Having some knowledge in microbiology I was kind of appalled to see the lack of proper hand hygiene practices taking place there. I saw through the small window to the back that a lady was kneading dough with her hands while wearing rings and a wrist bracelet. Didn't she realize that jewelry is a breeding ground for bacteria! There was also the guy behind the main counter who would switch seamlessly between preparing food (e.g. cutting veggies, spreading toppings over pizza) and taking orders over the phone whenever the phone rang. Not once during my wait did he wash his hands after picking up the phone. I didn't see any effort that evening to practice good hygiene! If this fact doesn't bother you then by all means try it out for yourself. At least they cooked the pizza to a golden brown. The next time I decide I want pizza I'll probably just stay home and cook.
