Hands down the best pizza I have ever had in my entire existence. The flavor bomb of the artichoke combined with the cheese and broccoli make for an amazing combination. You cannot go wrong if you're looking for something unique but also safe and not spicy. read more

Great pizza using Tommy's sauce recipe. A blast from the past! Great product, good prices and quick delivery.

Not only were they open during a storm, the delivered! We ordered the large pizza, medium garlic fingers and a pop for 27.99 - a steal. However, there wasn't a lot of toppings. The sauce was good and surprisingly spicy which I am delighted to have. The dough was great on both the pizza and garlic finger. The service was amazing through and through. The person taking my order was fantastic, the driver called when he was here and was so nice. The delivered in 45 minutes - as promised. Overall, definitely not the best pizza in Halifax but the service really truly makes it worth it. I'd rather leave with a smile in my face and good pizza than leave grouchy with great pizza. read more

Just a little news flash - a few nights ago I ordered from Tomaso's for the second time and it was SO good! The pizza arrived in 30 minutes and the delivery guy was just super! He commented on how good looking my cat is (instant points for talking up the tubby hairball) and he had an overall friendly nature. Andrew and I devoured a scrumptious pesto pizza in an embarrassingly short amount of time - we were really hungry. I urge you to order from Tomaso's! It is a really great pizza place with top of the line food and service! Hip-hip-hooray for Tomaso's! read more

Remember the OLD OLD Tomasos.. Well I went to Tomasos located on 3540 Novalea Drive in Halifax. I must say the pizza was very yummy. I think the smell of everything together was almost overwhelming. I myself enjoy a thin crust pizza so I tried the Pesto Sopresa ligthly glazed with extra virgin olive oil, sundried tomatoes. You could taste the fresh garlic on the pizza which was really tasty. As well to take home I had a ordered a medium combination of four. Mushrooms, GP, Hot Peppers and Pepperoni. It smelled delicious in the car on the drive home the temptation was almost killing me. Where I am a thin crust person I did find the crust a bit thick for me. The menu is actually really stacked with alot of choices regarding speciality pizza. The do also have the normal things like chicken wings, lasagna which I might try next time. Hope you enjoy Cheryl read more

Tomaso's Pizzeria - Medium Cheese & Pep pizza (1/6 of it) - Pizza Near Me - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Mmmm, pizza does not get any better than this. I've heard that Tomaso's is a Halifax landmark and on a whim decided to pick up a large meatlovers pizza one night. Ever since then, I was hooked. The Pesto Sopresa is a tasty thin crust delight sprinkled with pine nuts and garlic. One bite made my ten thousand taste buds come back to life! Recently I tried the Spinaci & Galo Arrostito and it was one of the most delicous gourmet pizzas I have ever tasted in my 29 years. Not only are the pizzas scrumptious & yummy, the delivery is speedy, the service is pleasant and the prices are very reasonable for the outstanding quality. In summary, I LOVE THIS TOMASO'S PIZZERIA and would highly recommend it as the best in the HRM. Ciao! read more

I am feeling pretty emotional about the pizza I ate last night at Tomaso's. My family is in town for Thanksgiving, and despite loving turkey and ham and etc etc, we really wanted a night off from cooking/baking/sweating over my teeny-tiny oven. My sister suggested Tomaso's as none of us had tried it before. What an amazing suggestion. This was the best pizza I've had in Halifax yet. We ordered a large Deluxe pizza (mozza, bacon, ham, pepperoni, hot peppers, green olives, mushrooms, peppers...etc) and a small Broc and Cheese pizza. The dough was sweet and soft. The cheese wasn't overkilling the other awesome toppings. The sauce was tasty and had a little kick to it. And I completely destroyed my gluten-free evening attempts as I inhaled three slices of the Deluxe. The atmosphere at Tomaso's is fine for a take-out pizza place. We ordered and ate there, as we needed to get out the aforementioned cramped apartment. The tables were clean, the service was speedy and friendly, and we all actually agreed on something for once in our lives. I also noticed that Tomaso's makes a lot of fancy-shmancy pizzas too (with, like, thin crusts and cool flavours, ya know?) so I'm looking forward to trying them all eventually. Really good experience. Beats the crap out of the band-aid laden (yep. happened.) pizza mess downtown happenings. I'll be back to frig up my no-gluten diet again in the near future. read more

How have I managed to not review Tomaso's after all these years? It fell through the cracks. Remember the "gourmet" burger craze? Relish, Krave, Boom Burger, Flipburger? Are they even still around? They weren't gourmet burgers, they were just burgers with an inflated price tag. Tomaso's claims to have gourmet pizza, and they actually do, without gouging their customers. When you order pizza without cheese, you have an opportunity to taste what the *pizza* tastes like. And their pizzas are excellent. Quality ingredients, sweet crust, sauce with a punch. Delicious. Friendly and personable delivery drivers, reasonable prices and lots of variety on their menu. They are our go-to on football Sundays. read more

Phenomenal pizza! My fiancée and I could not have been happier with our choice to try it out. While "build your own pizza" sounded great, we went off the specialty menu and were not disappointed. The crust is the best thin crust I have had in Halifax, with a sauce that's much less sweet than most in the city (which I tend to find way too sweet). The cheeses were fantastic - not too much, and not too little. Great balance in sauce to cheese to toppings to crust. While the place doesn't look like much on the inside, it absolutely has its charms. I would highly recommend giving Tamaso's a try. read more

Best Pizza in the Bedford area! Great delivery times. Always tasty, never disappoints. I've never had a Pizza from Tomaso's I didn't like.

Definitely the best pizza in Halifax. Funny part is that a friend visiting from Montreal turned us on to it. Apparently all the guys at the Naval Base (he's on a contract) love it. And with good reason. The place itself is far from fancy, the expectation is that you pick up or have it delivered. Lots of toppings from traditional to gourmet (including one with smoked salmon), perfect crust. I'm drooling just thinking about it. Perhaps it's time for another trip....or at least a phone call. read more

Oh me! Oh my! Tomaso's is my new place for pizza-pie! I hadn't heard of this succulent place of pizza until recently, when a friend suggested we order take-out-- delivery stylez. At the time, anything edible sounded good, so I let her dial up the decision and would await an unfamiliar making. From the first bite, it was love. Veggie topped delights with just the right amount of cheese, and timely warmth were all contributing factors. The delivery came slightly faster than other places I've ordered from, and the service man was less sketchy and more upbeat than the regular. I will be curious to check out Tomaso's again soon, and perhaps adventure to options other than the veggie pizza. (Although it will be tough..) A new and delicious pizza find, I am pumped! read more

I love this pizza. It's not greasy at all and the crust is thin but not brittle. It's also not greasy (some places seem to butter the pans a la Pizza Hut or something, bleh). Mon-Wed they have a medium 3 topping for $10 special. Delivery is always fast and friendly. read more

45 years ago when I was in university I went to Tomasos for his pies at least once a week at his shop in the Hydrostone area. We actually became friends over the years while I was there. I got on with my life, moved west to Calgary and other cities and ate 100's of pizza 's. I was always comparing them to Tom's. Never quite made the grade. This week driving into Halifax, I saw the sign "Tomasos Pizzeria " and wondered if it was the same place. I ordered two pies on the way home from the hospital. When I entered the shop I asked if it was the same Tomasos that was originally located in the Hydrostone and the young man said YES!! He even pointed to an old newspaper photo on Tomaso on the wall by the door Took them home and for me it was like a taste from the past, only word to describe the taste and texture is "GRRRREAT!!! My wife, niece and friend ate it and said it was "very good". We stopped for another round tonight and the conclusion was "the best pizza they ever ate". You have to try it for yourself because I can guarantee that you will like it if not love it. Everything is fresh and great guality. The sauce is the original recipe of Tomaso's mom. So glad too have found it again thank you to the staff of Tomasos. read more

Hands down best pizza I've ever experienced. This was my first time ordering. I ordered the pomodoro segreto at 8:06 exactly and it was here by 8:26!! Super fast. Super nice on the phone and delivery guy. Tomaso's Pizzeria - Amazing Pomodoro Segreto! - Pizza Near Me - Halifax, Nova Scotia

Best pizza in town hands down. Their works is made with real bacon without asking!!! I wish there were more places like this.

First of all - PEOPLE IM BEING 100 PERCENT HONEST, THIS IS THE BEST PIZZA IN HALIFAX. For months, i ordered from places like Alexandria's and pizza delic, which is all the same, and you get sick of the pizza so easily. When i moved into new apt, my sister recommended that my boyfriend and I try tomascos. We ordered a medium pizza with italian sausage, pepporini and roasted garlic. After one bite, i was HOOKED. The garlic fingers are amazing as well. And the prices are so cheap!! The staff is super friendly. i urge you to try them. you won't regret it :) read more

Their pizza was good, but their garlic fingers were the best i've had in town so far. so cheesy and garlic-y, yum!!

Tried a three topping, "Canadian bacon", pepperoni and hot peppers medium pizza as my introduction to Tomaso's. The good: they said it would be ready for pick up in 20 minutes and lo it was hot, ready and waiting when I arrived. My burnt mouth can attest to how hot the cheese was; I couldn't resist a slice on way home :p. They don't skimp on the molten mozzarella, the sauce tasted like it was made in house and didn't smother the pizza. Since I only had 3 tops and it was a Wednesday I was able to order it for $9.95; that's pretty good value for the dollar. The not so good: the bacon was not what I'd call Canadian bacon and it was just a slice of bacon laid out on each piece of pizza. I don't think I've had bacon presented like that on a pie before. I would have rather have had it crumbled more evenly over the pizza so I got more bacon goodness in each bite. The crust: I thought for a place that goes for authentic Italian taste that the crust would be thinner but it was a thick, heavy crust and reminded me of a chain pizza crust and not in a good way. I was hoping to find a gourmet pizza place that was a little closer to home than Tomasino's in the Hydrostone but so far these guys not only didn't touch Tomasino's they failed to knock Pizza Town as my local go-to. Still, I will have to give them another try. read more

Best pizza in HRM no doubt! We used to live next door and ate there regularly...now it's our special treat to get one on the way home. They use quality ingredients, have whole wheat crust if you ask for it, and low-fat cheese. Oh...and the sauce has the perfect zing to it. read more

High quality food with lots of variety in terms of selection. The service is impeccable and everything tastes delicious.

like the pizza, but had an unfortunate experience over the phone today. When I ordered, I was told delivery in 45-60 minutes. I called them when it had been an hour and 15 minutes wondering where my pizza was. The owner immediately snapped back at me and said it had gotten busy since after I called, that he had not put my pizza in the oven, and that my pizza would be ready in another 30 minutes. I asked if I could get a discount since it was going to be very late and he refused, saying it was too busy. So I asked why he told me it would be 45 min to an hour if it was so busy. He said he didn't know it was going to get that busy. He said I must have called after it got busy at 5 but I ordered at 4:30 so it had not gotten busy yet. He just decided not to start my pizza. He offered for me to come pick it up in 15 minutes which I find ridiculous as apparently he would be more willing to bake my pizza right away if I were picking it up but not if I ordered delivery. I understand delivery takes longer as the delivery person has to be dispatched to travel to you but he had not even begun to make my pizza yet, so I think that is no excuse. I asked if I could get a discount for picking it up myself and was offered two whole dollars off. Insulting. According to him it was my fault for ordering the pizza on a busy night and expecting it to arrive in the time I was told. So thanks for the terrible serivce, I won't be back. read more

Consistently great pizza. My wife and I order from here regularly. We also like the garlic fingers with donair sauce for dipping.

Tomaso's pizza is that pizza that you think of when you think how good a pizza can be. A perfect sauce, a little tangy but not heavily spiced, lots of melted cheese, a puffy mouth-watering dough. It's as near perfection as you're going to get this side of the Atlantic. I recently was out with friends and they wanted to go to Pizza Hut. I went and foolishly ordered pizza. Big mistake. Thin and greasy by comparisions, with Tomasos in my head all others pale. Next time I go to the Hut, I'll have pasta. Bargain hunters take note: as great as it is, Tomasos has a medium 3 topping for $10 special early in the week. read more

I'm always on the lookout for places that have spinach as an option for pizza topping. My boyfriend and I have our standard greasy pizza spot, but sometimes we like to order something a little higher quality. After reading some reviews on this place I was expecting it to be in the ranks with Salvatores and Bramoso, as far as quality goes. The delivery was quick, and the pizza was fine, it just wasn't what I expected. The sauce was sweet, almost Greco-esque and the crust was generic. The toppings (mushroom, pepperoni, spinach) were find but just didn't make up for the MEH factor of the crust/sauce. Overall decent pizza, but not what I was looking for in the quality department. read more

I recently discovered Tomaso's and I am glad. Their thin crust pizzas are delicious. I have ordered three different pizzas on three different occasions and have yet to be disappointed. The cheesy, pesto pizza was my favourite. The broccoli and cheese (we had it made on a thin crust) also delicious. Delivery is prompt and the price is right! read more
