We were craving some late night pizza and took a chance on this place and we did not regret this choice We stuck with a large cheese pizza and this has to be by far one of the cheesiest pizzas I've ever had The crust of the pizza was fluffy and delicious as well, tbh I was only able to eat one slice because it was all so thick and heavy with the cheese but that just means more for the next day. If you want some greasy spoon-eque, old school pizza at its best instead of some overpriced frou-frou 'designer' pizza,this place is the perfect example of that.Reasonable prices and a stacked menu of other old school take out fare. The two owners,a lovely old couple,are friendly and personable, but don't take gruff lightly. From some of the other comments,let me clear a few things up: 1)If the ATM rips you off,that's not the businesses doing,that's the ATM company you deal with. 2)If you go in acting like your patronage will make or break their business or that your patronage is doing them a favor, you don't deserve to be treated with respect if you cant fathom giving it. I have passed by this place many times since I live in the area and had decided today to look at what they sell here to compare to the other store nearby. I went inside to look at what they offer and noticed they sold pizza as well for what seemed to be a cheap price. My friend had bought pizza here before and I wanted to double check that this was the correct store so I took a picture of the menu to ask her if it was the right one and the elderly lady who worked there decided she had a problem with me and confronted me for 'standing around looking' (at the items) and 'taking pictures' (of the menu to confirm this was the right store). She did not accept that my friend had ordered pizza from this store before and I must have been up to something terrible and suspicious for some reason. I have honestly never met someone so immediately hostile before and I'm so confused as to why she did not seem to want me there. I am not sure if she was not fond of my race (I am black) because she definitely did not treat the multiple white customers the same way, or if I had actually done something to offend her, but I honestly just left straight away since she very clearly did not want me there. That type of dislike gives off a certain vibe and I was for sure feeling it. Not sure what to say other than this being an incredibly bizarre and possibly discriminatory place. It is a shame since I was hoping to purchase from here in the future, but not much to be done when they make it so obvious you are not welcome in the store and yell at you :) For full transparency, this occurred at approximately 5pm, Jan 29th, with around 4 other customers in the shop. read more

I have been going to Kit Kat for the past 5 years. Today I went to withdraw money from the ATM and the ATM timed out and did not dispense my money, but debited my account. I brought this to the owners attention, and instead of helping me they took it upon themselves to belittle me, and call me a liar and a cheat. All I wanted was a phone number to contact the ATM company. This was the worst I have been treated anywhere in my entire life, I walked out feeling hurt. We ordered a pepperoni pizza , which was only $6, and not only was the pizza amazing , the company and service was out of this world. Typical late-night pizza joint, that I discovered while walking north on Gottingen St from downtown. Open until 3am, this unkempt pizza joint embodies the everlasting truth about pizza: if it's still bad, you're still glad you had it. I got a medium-sized pepperoni pizza for only $7 (price was actually $6.50 tax in, but I was too tired to grab coins), and it was quickly served. Pizza was as expected, given the questionable cleanliness of the kitchen. Crust is medium thick, crispy when served; cheese is runny and incredibly oily while the pepperoni is the luncheon meat-based one, not the fancy salami one would get. Some blotting would have been necessary, but the cheese was so runny it would have entirely stuck to the towel. However, it was a perfect meal for a late night craving, given that nothing else was available in the area. And let's face it, anything greasy, salty and sweet tastes amazing... We've tried a couple of the pizza shops around North + Gottingen and Kit Kat is definitely the best value and is great! Friendly service, great delivery guy! I've had friends from Lakeside make a special trip to this place because not only is it great, but the prices are reasonable. They had issues with roaches in the past but I have ordered pizza a few times in recent months and didn't see anything crawling around. You definitely get good bang for your buck. They load the pizza with cheese and by far have the best garlic fingers around. I don't personally care for the sliced meats they use but my kid doesn't mind. I like the old style pizza oven not new and fancy, you just can't get good old fashioned pizza like theirs anywhere else. They deliver anywhere and if you pick up it's even cheaper. There are not too many places left where you can get cigarettes delivered with your donair. Donair quality is great, thick and crispy without being burnt. The portions are huge btw, massive poutine, lots of cheese on their pizza + they're very generous with their toppings. One time I saw an employee using the mop to clean the tables, it's funny how the best pizza/donair places are dirty like that. I live off Quinpool road where there are multiple pizza spots and I still choose to have them deliver to elm street. For a medium pizza its 10.00, this INCLUDES delivery. Best deals around. 2 Large Pepperoni pizzas for 20$. Tax in if you pick it up. Loads of cheese. Excellent old school pizza. The owners are an amusing bunch and are fun to chat with whenever I wait on my order. The lady always makes the same joke "You have the 2 pepperoni. 1 with cheese, 1 no cheese" It's not even really funny, but she's such a kind lady, I legit laugh every time and will miss the banter whenever they decide to hang up their pizza paddles. The place is old(no stars lost for longevity), but has maintained it's consistency year to year, and it's definitely no dirtier than any other pizza joint or pub kitchen in the city, or probably the world. I've literally eaten from there over 100 times and the only times that I ever felt ill, was because I couldn't stop eating and got into the 2nd delicious large pizza followed by promptly eating myself into a blissful, however tummy turning coma. Make no mistake about it, this is a dive. You need a "when in Rome" attitude when you enter the premises, and you need to set aside your judgements, because the place looks like a slum. However, the donairs are excellent, and shockingly cheap. A $5 donair is so large, two men could share it. The onions and tomato are always fresh, their donair sauce is homemade and very, very good. Their meat is great as well. Their pita is freshly baked daily by the Fancy Lebanese Bakery. The couple operating the business have so for over thirty years, without raising prices very often. They could easily charge much more, and still have plenty of business. If you haven't been inside the place before, be forewarned.
