With the heat one would think it wise to offer water to your customers. On our trip the shuttle driver told us where to meet him for the shuttle pickup and about how much time it would take us to get there. There were 12 of us on the van and 10 of us were able to get to the place within 10 minutes arrival of each other. The last couple did not. We waited another 30 minutes in the heat for them to arrive. Although you cannot control for self absorbed people, it might be a good idea to give some instructions on keeping up in the group so that you are not holding everyone up waiting for you (think pace of play or pace of float). I would still recommend Float Eureka as they provided a great experience overall.

Our campsite had great shade but wasn't on the water (late night loop 104) but was near the bathroom which I appreciated. The showers and toilets could be cleaner but I feel like there is only so much they can do with the amount of lake swimming and sheer amount of folks using the restrooms. I definitely recommend water shoes not only for the lake but also the showers. Although I brought supplies for making French press coffee, I ended up getting an iced late at the coffee shop in the main office. We had some of the breakfast buffet (carton eggs, sausage, hashbrowns) and it was all pretty good. We signed up for a glow tube night trip on Friday and a float trip on Saturday. Both were fun but I don't think I'd need to do 2 float trips in a weekend in the future. The resort drops you off at the tubing drop site up the river and you end either at the resort or a mile up the river where they'll bus you back. It's pricey but it does include a lot of amenities and is definitely a one stop shop for tubing. I think next year we'll look into the cabins or pods. ;tldr it's pricey but you get hot showers, toilets, coffee, and busing for the float trips built in. Late night loop is rowdy so if you want something more quiet, consider avoiding this area.

But if you call ahead and book, they will hold it for you for a couple of hours at least. We took the self-driven canoes and kayaks and we did not face any problem because the water current is slow and water is not too deep at all. Their rental start at 9am and you have to return the canoes and kayaks by 4pm. Believe me, you actually need that much time :) We reached at 9:30am and completed the paperwork and started kayaking at 10:30. We went upstream till the dam and then came back downstream and reached the same place where we parked our car. You can keep your stuff in a bag in a canoe. But the kayaks don't have that much space - you can carry a waterproof packet at the most. There is a very less chance you will get wet. Self-driven canoes are $20+tax and hold 2 people. Kayaks are $25+tax for 2 people and $20+tax for single person. Totally recommend this place! Good customer service and really a great place to spend a day!

Sadly, the loving care that was once evident everywhere is no longer there. The cabins are in serious need of maintenance. I called a few times prior to finally booking online because I couldn't catch anyone on the phone. Our keys were pinned to a corkboard at the office when we arrived around 3:25 pm. When we checked out the next morning at 8:36, there was also no one in the office, although a housekeeping(?) vehicle drove past us to the cabin. It was a very impersonal experience and not at all what I experienced as a child and also when I returned with my own young children years ago. I did text and call Kelly as I would have preferred to give this feedback in person, as well as settle my account. No shampoo or body wash in the bathrooms, but there were some soap bars. Bring a hair dryer - there isn't one. Pro tip: We didn't think there was a bath mat, but it was folded under the tissue holder on the back of the toilet. Water was hot and the pressure was decent. Our cabin (no 2) had gray hairs on one of the pillowcases and the sheets had multiple tiny holes. There was a streak of black on the ceiling of our cabin above the bed that might have been mold but honestly am not sure. The expensive tv ads that run in the DFW and OKC market could be better spent on Thompson's water seal for the exteriors and refreshing the ancient carpet and sheets/beds. That said, if you think of it as a glamping experience it might not be so bad. Sadly, this will most likely be our last visit here. Giving it two stars for the creek and river views.

They have some of the best lake views from their cabins, and I believe they are some of the closest to the water you can find. The cabins are immaculately clean, with microwaves, stoves, fridge and everything you need for making meals there. Grilling out is always great as Bruce is a saint in cleaning the grills...I have seen him do it! I highly recommend Fish 'N Fun as a great family getaway destination.
