My husband and I are die hard Eureka lovers at the Hawthorne location. The food and drinks are solid and reliable. The beer and cocktail selection is one of a kind and the staff is amazing. My only concern now is that the two menu items that we would ALWAYS get are gone - the seared ahi tuna salad and burrito. Please bring those items back. read more

Nothing Special here. We started with ordering Onion Rings, Ohh we're out of Onion Rings. We then ordered Fish Tacos, Ohh we're out of Fish for the Tacos. Not a great start. I had the Grilled Reuben which was just mediocre. My Wife ordered a Salad, which she wasn't impressed with at all. Our friend had the BBQ Bacon Burger and he seemed pleased. Would we return or recommend? Nope. Updated: Absolutely love how this business sends their "canned" replies to every detailed bad review. read more

Shaneika is THE Most phenomenal server I have ever seen. She is attentive and incredible at engaging with all her tables while staying on top of orders at the same time. She has made my daughter's day on multiple occasions and she is the reason we will come back. read more

The food was solid, but I found the service a bit slow. The first time I ordered, I got the beets burger and veggie tacos. When my order was dropped off, I asked for a cup of ranch and a hibiscus juice, but they took a while to arrive. Later, I placed a to-go order for a quesadilla, which is typically filled with meat and sauerkraut. I had requested a plain cheese quesadilla, but they got it wrong. I'm not too picky, so I just ate it when I got home. Although I'm usually patient and understanding, considering it was a weekday and not overly busy, I expected the service to be faster. The place has a cool vibe, but due to the slow service, I'd be hesitant to return--though the food itself was solid. read more

First off they do have Tv's for you sports fans which I didn't come for I came for the happy hour food. We sat in the patio are outside which was enclosed with tree plants with a very good view of the planes at hawthorne airport (mind you the airport is on the lot.) I order eureka burger cut in half. So good and fresh with a side of fries which i end up ordering more because they were good. Drinks reasonable price on happy hour menu. Our server Maria waa nice, informative and great nails read more

This location is very neat and special, located at a local, small Hawthorn airport. It was a bonus watching small, private aircraft land. The food- was good Fresno fig burger was great, and wings were delicious (dry rub and Orange Chile Glaze) We were fortunate to find parking on a Saturday early evening, as it is limited. The lack of stars is for drinks and service. I ordered the Tequila version of the "Wild Child" as the server described it which was the Industry Margarita. She ended ip bring out the Wild Child, which was vodka based, and I expressed I did not want Vodka. She was quick to input the right order of the industry Margarita. The wings hit the table before we had either of our cocktails (before incorrect order). We never recived water in the meantime. Food runner had to bring us silverware and plates. These should had been at our table after ordering. The drinks were cute, but not anything to write home about. The Industry tasted like straight pinapple juice with no garnish or salt/sugar on rim. The Floor is Lava was cute, strong, but also very Mescal heavy. We asked for the check early (still eating) since everything else was taking a while, thank gooness, our plates were cleared before check hit the table. The location is wonderful and a fun airport experince, negatives would be slow, incompetent service, and expensive drinks that were mediocre at best. Parking can be difficult. read more

Food was good, small restaurant and nice food with friendly servers. Had a nice time, likely to visit for a quick and social break.

Situated right below my flight school, Eureka is what I look forward to after an intense session of learning each Saturday morning. The burgers are masterfully grilled and sculpted, and the intriguing menu selection allows your imagination to wander beyond the traditional American fare. The view ain't bad either, watching aircrafts from Space X take to the sky. Come fly with me on this gastronomical adventure. read more

The burgers here are AMAZING and paired with truffle cheese fries, you'll want to come back to try the rest of the menu.

Been coming here for years since it opened. Now it's a staple family spot of ours to come watch the planes/a game, & get a good meal. Always amazing service (we love Asa, she's the best!) & grub. So happy this tasting kitchen is here! read more

Stopped in for lunch with hubby while out running errands. The restaurant was chill and had low traffic even with it being lunch time. The apps we ordered, were Wings & Spinach dip which we enjoyed. The wait time was within reason so our food was served hot. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. My husband and I were impressed with the 28 day aged hamburger it was served with bone marrow. Mind you we had both never tried bone marrow and Eureka didn't miss! The hamburger was tender and had a buttery flavor. It was delicious and we upgraded our sides. My husband ordered the Truffle fries and I wanted to try the Mac and Cheese balls. Everything was most enjoyable and will be back! read more

My only other experience with Eureka! is at their Berkeley location. If I remember it right, it was average at best. But that was a while WHILE back. I have driven by this spot many times and didn't really have the desire because of that previous experience. But I knew I would eventually make a stop just to compare. Coming from the Manhattan Beach area for errands with the parental units (and pup who came long for the ride) they decided their hunger pangs were gonna go in sync. It was sorta a challenge to find a dog friendly restaurant. But for some bizarro reason, this placed popped up in my head. The only thing I need to do is call and confirm: "Hi, is your patio open and dog friendly?" It is. (This is always a plus-plus!) The stop was at a later lunch hour, so I didn't expect the place to be full. It's a good thing we got there when we did because we got the last table at the patio! Wow, for a later lunch time, this place was sorta popular! Their menu is small, but they do have specials for customers to try - and if we like it often enough, it could make it to their regular menu. I went for the truffle mushroom burger (cooked medium) with a side of truffle fries and a ginger lime soda to wash it all down. Pop's appetite wasn't as big as mine or Mom's, so he had an order of mac and cheese balls. Mom got the blackened salmon kale cesar and a bloody mary to pair. VERDICT: The burger was cooked PERFECT. The cheese was nicely melted and not overpowering. (I usually skip cheese, but I was curious.) The buns were warm and fluffy. The mushrooms were cooked buttery and tasty. The only setback: the truffle flavor was much too subtle that I hardly sensed or tasted it. But the truffle fries completely made up for it (although it shouldn't have to.) Those came thin and crispy topped with parmesan. Delicious. FOOD: 4.5. Would have been a perfect 5 if the truffle flavor on the burger came out more. It was good, though! SERVICE: 5. Our server was available at the most peculiar and perfect time. Every time we needed extra anything, she'd happen to be walking by or would stop by to ask. It was bizarre how that worked out, but bizarre in a good way. She was friendly as well. No snags here. VALUE: 4.5. More than fair. PARKING: Private lot but with a 2 hour limit. There are plenty more at the back. OVERALL: 4.5. Definitely a better experience here than the one I had at their Berkeley location. Deterred no more. My parents both enjoyed their drinks and their meals as well as I did. I'm glad I finally made the stop. Will most likely return for future visits. There are other items on their menu I would love to try! read more

Eureka !! What a find. Delicious food and a fabulous server named Karen. She was friendly and gave good advice on the meals and the refreshing Lavender tea. The Mandarin Chicken salad was yummy. Lots of grilled chicken, I mean I didn't have to move lettuce out of the way to find it. The orange dressing too was plentiful with of course mandarin oranges juicy and plump. There were.other.goodies in the salad, highly recommended. Now on the vegan side of the menu was the Red Beet and Kidney burger. It was served with fries dusted with a little salt and parsley. As mentioned earlier Karen was a nice addition to our meal. Smiled a lot and checked in with us often. The restaurant is next door to the Hawthorne airport which is the only drawback. The roar of the engines and the smell of airline fuel is overwhelming at times, but hey the food is good . The patio was perfect and open. The tables were clean as was the restaurant. We'll return. read more

I dropped in for happy hour and sadly, the menu items have changed. There was no one in here and the staff was scarce. I sat at a booth and waited for someone to approach me but they kept walking pass me. I then got up and sat at the bar which was ok. The energy was quite low and the staff seemed to be in chill mode. Slow to assist a customer or suggest any drinks. I ordered the eureka burger which was ok, i wish they didnt take the nachos off of happy hour. And FYI, the chalkboard with the beers, only the top options are happy hour not the whole board read more

I love airports. It's a vestigial thing from childhood because I don't travel much anymore, but I did. Airports are a place of comfort for me, the coming and going is therapeutic, the anonymity is expected, and Hawthorne Regional connects people to Mammoth and Palm Springs or whatever, but it's still an airport. Eureka! Is nestled right there. The resident raven absents himself for years on end, but when he's in, everyone listens. Racer 5 and Buffalo Trace, that's my go to, and as far as the food menu, I've tried the salads, the burgers, the appetizers, a bit of everything, it's all delicious. I know that I thrive on that anonymity I spoke of, and perhaps that makes me a bit invisible sometimes, but I have had to wait on service quite a while sometimes, which is fine, but just a heads up. Not sure if you'll have the same experience, who knows? I know the sun sets in that final location and it's to the west, right down that runway. Give it a whirl, see what you think. read more

Wonderful & right on the runway! What a cool place to grab a burger and a drink. Delicious food! Amazing servers! Great ambiance! Location is literally on the Hawthorne airport run way. How cool! Tryna find a unique spot for a date or just a drink...here it is! FOOD & DRINKS: Their burgers and fries are out of this world! Had the double decker and added shoestring onions at our waitresses recommendation 10/10. Delicious hand cut signature fries. Fried Mac n cheese bites with their dipping sauce was yummy. The happy hour green beans were the best all choice! Highly recommend. Crisp. Delicious with a glaze and garlic. They offer a "group" cocktail which serves about 4 drinks. It's ALWAYS the better move. $12.50 for one, of $25 for the group. Had a sensational tequila, Pineapple & ginger drink. They have great drink options and a good happy hour. PARKING: Free 2hour parking in the lot in front. Has about 30 spaces. Wonderful experience! Enjoy some delicious food and drinks while watching planes land right at our seats. read more

I've passed by this place so many times since there's a supercharger right around the corner in Space X. Finally got to try this place out with my fam and my sister's fiances family. Get the burgers here. Everything else wasn't great. -28 Day Dry Aged bone marrow burger- So good! Super rich and savory. -Fresno Fig- The blue cheese with the fig was fantastic. My favorite burger -Napa Chicken Sandwich- Super plain, chicken pretty overcooked. Get the firecracker aioli. It helps. -Mac n Cheese balls- you can't go too wrong with fried food but it just tasted... fried. Couldn't taste the mac n cheese. -Chargrilled cauliflower- This was 50% burned. Don't get it -Riblets- Don't get these. They were overcooked and stringy and way too burnt -Sweet potato fries- get these! Loved the cinnamon on them. -Spicy Watermelon drink- I love when a restaurant has a good nonalcoholic option. Loved this! Spicy and refreshing I'm waiting for my tesla but once I get it I'm sure i'll be back to grab a burger. read more

Shanika really took care of us. Awesome food and vibes! Definitely try the Salmon and the fried pickles

I've always had good experiences when dining at Eureka! and this time was no different. Good food and fast service even with the large lunch crowd. Mac N Cheese Balls: My fave. I order these every time. Nice and crisp outside with yummy mac n cheese inside. Grilled Chicken Nachos: These nachos were perfect for sharing between 2 people. Lots of chicken and the chips held up well even drenched in the sauces. Fresno Fig Burger: I added a fried egg to my burger because I think all burgers taste better with one. Lots of bacon and the fig marmalade was a good touch. I really like this location. Lots of parking and seating. And if you get a good seat by the window, you can watch the planes take off and land while you dine. read more

Found this spot on Yelp and we are H A P P Y! Upon entering we were greeted by Christa (Christen) she was so bubbly and happy! definitely set the mood! The restaurant was clean and airy and loved the view of the private jets outside. The lights weren't extremely bright which made the restaurant very relaxing. The Food!!! Soooooooo good! Oh my gosh! We sat at the bar and were surprised they had happy hour on Labor Day, most places cancelled the happy hour. Our bartender Yesenia, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable! Our drinks were so good and her service was TOP TIER.. especially when the bar area started to pickup. We ordered the fried cheese balls, American burger with truffle fries and the wings! Delicious! Kudos to the chef! The next time I fly to LA from the Bay Area this will be one of my first stops. Would highly recommend. read more

We drive over based on high ratings and immediately enjoyed the view watching planes takeoff from the private airport. The servers were very friendly and immediately began setting up our table for 11 party. We were seated quickly. We then ordered drink and food. The charcoal lemonade was lack luster so my husband ordered an additional drink. The drink service was fast while the food service was slow... I think they were attempting to bring everyone's food at the same time including the five kids. The food was great! My sister had a mishap on her plate of salmon salad so another was prepared for her and her entire meal was comped. The family had an overall great time together and were satisfied with our meal. read more

Ok ok I'm sorry I'm docking 1 star because you guys are always understaffed when I go! And there is hardly any parking But I absolutely love the food and the ambiance here. It is right next to the Hawthorne airport so I love getting a window seat and seeing the aircraft depart and arrive. The cocktails are amazing. I ordered the lychee martini and switched to tequila blanco and muah bartenders kiss. It was the perfect amount of sweet and strong enough for me. The burgers are a must try. The last time I came the broccoli was delicious but the most recent time I went it was definitely a different sauce than the one before. Please go back to the original recipe if you can because it is so hard to find a healthier veggie alternative if you wanted to order that instead of ordering fries. The Mac and cheese balls are another must if you are a Mac and cheese lover. They were also out of the chicken wings last time I went but these chicken wings are another must try. read more

I'm tired of letting this place go without a review, so I'm back folks with another one. So my husband informed me that we been here 2 previous times before Saturday evening (10/21). I couldn't remember more than once and only knew the food wasn't "anything to write home about." So the ambiance, it's basically a bar, there is outside seating, a high u shaped bar, booths around the outer wall, and a few seats in between. It's definitely a vibe if you're going for a drink or to watch a game. I was reminded that we went once after a helicopter ride (which we've done twice, day and night, and I would recommend 10/10. But my husband knows I judge my willingness to go back to a restaurant is how I enjoyed their food. And if you've read a few of my reviews you know I rate these restaurants on more than just their food. We were greeted at the door and immediately seated, don't actually remember ever waiting. Water was given quickly and the server stated she'd be back to take our drink orders. She was nice and sweet but went ghost a few too many times. I don't know how busy she was but it didn't seem very busy, it's not a large place. This is important to reference, I use to be a server so I often "over" tip and only make reference to lowering a tip when the server has been given too many options to make it work. This was not the case and rarely is because my husband and I will literally do everything we can to excuse bad behavior from a server. Now the food: my husband though his burger was pretty good. His exact words, I thought it was delicious. My toddler has the chicken strips and they were good, could've used a bbq sauce or ranch, but good overall. I actually wish I had gotten the "adult" chicken strips. I got the chicken nachos and was disappointed, they were dry, the chips were hard, the cheese yuck, just bad overall. If I went alone I would've been pissed. As I was eating, I started to remember I didn't like their food at all. I enjoyed my charcoal lemonade, but eh! Ultimately, when we walked out and I informed him, no need to recommend this place again for dinner. I remember now that it's a no for me. But if he wanna go grab a drink after another helicopter ride, I'm in. read more
