Chicken queso wrap with truffle fries

The cheese that came out this wrap had me dancing in my seat. We also ordered the fruity pebbles and carrot cake cinnamon rolls. Everything was made fresh service was amazing. Will be back very soon. Thank you so much!

The best chicken fingers in the world have come to Dearborn and I don't have to drive out of my way to get them. Seriously juicy chicken dripping with flavor. It runs on the salty side, but it is correct to be salty. And the sandwiches are just those amazing chicken fingers on bread. While the sauces are great, you can and should eat these straight. The prices run a little high. $15 for a sandwich combo. And the wait time is 10 minutes or more. But the wait is because it's fresh. This is better than fast food.

I thought I didn't like oxtail it the problem was I've never had it from Brightmoor family grille!! It was so tender and full of flavor! Also the rasta pasta was delicious! Chefs kiss!!! Bravo!! The place was very clean on the inside the server was attentive and helpful. We for sure will be back.

I was planning to try this place and after seeing The Hungry Black Man's review...I knew I was…read moreright to have it on my list. I had the turkey meatloaf with cabbage and mac n cheese. Everything was delicious. The turkey meatloaf was moist and well seasoned, the gravy wasn't your typical brown gravy. It had a hint of jerk flavor to it, making it very unique AND very good. The mac n cheese was cheesy, but not too cheesy. The cabbage could have used a few more carrots, but it was perfectly cooked. I also ordered a beef patty and plantains to take home for later...Both were also good. The crust on the beef patty...mwah (chef's kiss)! It was so flaky. I could've have used a little more beef, but that's only because it was so tasty. It seems most people carryout, but inside seating is available...there are 8 or 9 booths and a couple of tables. There was a pretty steady flow of customers while I was there, but I was the only one who chose to dine-in. The service was great. My food came out rather quickly and everything was hot. The employees were very friendly. One thing I noticed is that there was a 3 or 4 percent increase between the price on my receipt on the price on the menu, I'm nit sure what that was. I'll definitely be back because I have to try the oxtails.

Today was a visit to Detroit to see my daughter. We were craving some Home Cooking and found it here. Lots of small mom and pops around but we chose this one because they had a review already and were open. Menu looks very good. I got the smothered Pork chops , mac n cheese and collards. My son got fried catfish mac n cheese and loaded mash potatoes with cornbread. We decided to splurge and got peach cobbler and banana pudding, our total bill was $50. Seems like a lot but hey we are in Michigan ‍ and wth, Im cravin soul so its's worth it. I'm posting pictures below. I've got to tell you I mean this is some of the best stuff I have ever had. It just brought back memories for me. I devoured one of the pork chops, about a third of my macaroni and cheese and half of my collards and I was stuffed , I took a bite of the both desserts. They were very good. The peach cobbler was not served warm which is fine cause we can always take it back and heat it up and put a dollop of ice cream on it but just to let you know in case you wanna ask them to heat it up. But oh my God it's so good. I will go back there in a heartbeat! Thank you ladies for reminding me of my roots.

The lamb chops were top tier (that's what I ate) but the fried chicken that my wife had was mind blowing. I'm not generally given to hyperbole. Seriously: try this chicken. I purchased gift cards during Covid to help support local restaurants during shut down, and I was pleasantly surprised that we could still use them in 2026! We had tried to use them in 2022, but were told the restaurant was small and could not accommodate our party of 8, even early on a Sunday. Fast forward 4 years! We made a reservation for a party of 4. It would've been nice to know the restaurant was on the second floor with no elevator, but perhaps that is my lack of inquiry. We were warmly greeted. Our server was absolutely fantastic! She made wonderful recommendations, and our meal was delicious! We had the crab dip, cornbread muffins, fried chicken and catfish entrees with yams and collard greens. Our family is from the South (KY, NC, TN, VA, MS, & AL) and we cook southern food on a regular basis. The yams were perfectly cooked and sweetened. The collard greens had just enough density, not runny or too salty. YUM!!! The chicken was tasty and moist. Catfish was seasoned and prepared perfectly and absolutely delicious also. Served with Frank's! We finished it off with the skillet cookie dessert, shared by all. A great way to end a really wonderful meal. The restaurant wasn't busy, so food service could've been a little faster, but we enjoyed a leisurely early dinner. My only other comment is that with glass top tables, you almost have to use Windex when tables turn over. The water streaks on all the glass top just make it look more like a greasy spoon or diner and does not do justice to the great service or the quality of the food. I don't usually do catfish at home, so we will be back for more!

Til like 8-9pm even on weekends so i have always done carryout or grubhub delivery. Its known for chicken. Get the chicken. Just like down south its served with a slice of bread. Reminds me of Sunday dinners at my Grandmas house. So why 3 stars? Because I have been to other locations i know Gus Fried Chicken. Its got a spice to it that no other spot can replicate. Somehow its tone down here. Just not the same. Good chicken, not great. Twice they were out of something I ordered. No call or contact for substitute. Desserts not bad at all but i don't remember them so that's not good. If you are in/around the airport area check it out but.. The cook came out of the kitchen as well to ask if our food was ok. These folks really wanted to make a good impression. We ordered chicken sandwiches, and they were great. The chicken was plump and juicy. Fries were hot and crispy. We left feeling full. Thank you for your great service and food! We will be back!
