Hopping between wineries in Paso Robles, needed to find a place for a quick bite during lunch time before heading to the next tasting appointment. Recommended by Maury of Caliza winery ( a very good winery in Paso ), we went to this Italian Deli. Ordered 2 sandwiches and 1 flat bread to share. They were all delicious, especially the flat bread. All the breads of the sandwiches were crunchy, toasted just right. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely come again and try other dishes!

This is the big crowd joining eating besides us. We loved our meals and desserts.

We loved everything we are just want everyone to come out and taste it for yourselves. Even the desserts

You must stop in Etto Pastificio when in Paso Robles. It's kinda a checklist item, to be frank. If you arrive there early enough from out-of-town or want to sample their pasta first hand, then try out Etto Pasta Bar which seems to be connected to the market. I didn't get to eat there when we visited, but my friends did, and they swore by it. However, it seems like the other local restaurants that we ate at might be sourcing their pasta from this market as well because the freshness of the pasta we had could not be beat. I imagined what being in Italy would be like since I've never been yet. I also love how things are organized in this market. You can purchase dry or freshly made pasta in their refrigerator. They are labeled if you're an amateur eater like me. They also offer various sauces that you can use from tomato based, cream based, pesto, etc. with fresh produce you can add to enhance the flavors of whatever you plan to cook. This store is especially great if you're renting an AirBnB and want to take a break from eating out. Even if you want to buy some olives or make your own charcuterie board, you can definitely find your essential items here. We wanted to keep our Paso Robles experience going so thank goodness we had a cooler to transport our fresh pasta, cheeses, and pasta sauce in to enjoy that evening. It was so worth it since finding fresh pasta in Los Angeles is hard to find. Thank you Etto Pastificio for your offerings. You just raised the bar for me on what an ultimate pasta dining experience should be like.

Fresh pastas and sauces to go!

The Etto retail shop, adjacent to Etto restaurant, carries a nice assortment of fresh pastas, homemade sauces, olive oil, and pretty much all you'd need for a pasta dinner. Clean and well merchandised, this is a great way to take home some of Etto's staple food items.

When you're married to an Italian, and one who loves to cook, a shop like Etto Pastificio is a MUST! My hubby and I were visiting Paso Robles for a few days and made a point to visit this awesome Italian specialty shop/pasta factory/market. We were instantly transported to Italia, and missing the culture and amazing food there! Well fear not, because between the fresh pastas, sauces, San Marzano tomatoes, olive oils, wine, desserts, and more, we could at least eat like we were back in the beautiful country! Etto is more than a pasta factory (which is what "Pastificio" means in Italian for those that don't know). They have countless quality items, both imported from Italy and locally produced, to make some incredibly authentic and delicious Italian meals for yourself or tutta la famiglia (all of the family)! The selection is vast, and the customer service is friendly and welcoming. They pride themselves on bringing the best of pasta to CA using the highest quality ingredients, and the best Italian craft pasta technique and style (a little fact I read on their website). Etto is also family-owned which makes it all the more inviting to shop and eat here. Mangia bene (eat well)!

Came across this gem of a place and I love that you can find so many delicious and FRESH items here! Produce right as soon as you walk in, fresh pasta that is refrigerated and ready for you to take home and eat for lunch or dinner, bread available for purchase (ready to eat!!) and cheese and meats available to go with whatever you decide to eat for the evening. It's pretty small in there, but large enough to find some treats and get whatever your Italian (or not) heart desires!

    Sign out front...ramen too!

This is a very cool and inspiring Italian product store located in the Tin Alley development. It has all types of pasta, sauces, spreads and treats; unique and interesting. Having read about their pasta I purchased several boxes plus a bag, but yet to try them. They are available in a variety of sizes from small to humungous bags. They also had a very intriguing pistachio spread that I can't wait to try out. They have a woman walking about answering questions she said the spread is good on biscotti and other sweet desserts. It's a nice store and well worth the stop.

Yum, yum, yum! This is my new favorite go to spot for a delicious meal in PR. Their pastas are amazing, the staff is always great, and they are dog friendly (patio in the back). If you want to get something to go, they have a delicious array of sandwiches at lunchtime that you can get for a picnic or snack. I always make a stop at the market nextdoor because they have a wonderful assortment of Italian products and limited seasonal produce that is so good! Highly recommend you check it out.

It was perfect timing, plenty of seating indoor and optional back patio seating with a waterfall. We sat inside and once again greeted by the friendly staff, water cups were filled and the lavender lemonade brought to the table. The table had extra plates, which was great because we were sharing our plates. We ordered an appetizer they had as a special(I forgot the name) but it was fried macaroni (not macaroni and cheese) balls with a pomodoro sauce. Beautiful presentation and everything complemented each other, definitely would get it again. We ordered Cacio e Pepe, the sauce was creamy, pasta cooked perfectly and seasonal pesto with walnuts and fresh basil, very good. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to comeback and try a different dish. We didn't get a chance to go to the store next door, but we talked about having a pasta night at home so we will be back. We felt welcomed by the staff and they were on top on checking on the tables. They also have a pasta tour so that's next on the list of things to do. Local or not, or if you love pasta give Etto a try and then go pick up some pasta and other goodies at their shop on your way out. Buon appetito!

We called ahead and were told no reservations were needed as they were not busy. We arrived about 1 hour before the lunch service was ending and there were only two other families in the restaurant and we were promptly told to select our table I was told that we had to place our order at the counter after we reviewed the menu. Our table had dinnerware and water glasses but no salt and pepper or other spices. We suspected they would be provided when we placed our order. I ordered the daily special - lemon cream linguini with salmon and my wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana (one of her favorite dishes). We also ordered the Caesar salad to share and the house-made potato chips. We both ordered ice tea drinks but had to request sweetener and when we did not receive any I had to retrieve some from the front counter. Our entrees were served within a few minutes and before our Caesar salad so we could not enjoy our entrees immediately. When our salad arrived I had to ask for a separate plate to share with my wife even though I had told the person who took my order that we were sharing it. When the salad arrived we had to ask for pepper and Parmesan cheese to season our salad and were told they did not provide croutons with the salad. By the time we got to our entrees they were lukewarm. The eggplant parmigiana was served in a small dish and lacked flavor. The lemon cream linguini also lacked flavor and the salmon portion was very small. At no time during our meal did our server check on us to ask us if we needed anything or whether we were enjoying our meal. We did notice the servers chatting in the corner while the customers were dining and appeared to be ignoring the diners. We did not finish our meal and boxed up the potato chips (which were delicious and plentiful) and left the restaurant without any acknowledgement from the waitstaff or the front counter person. I think management needs to train their waitstaff on their customer service. It wasn't as if they were busy with other customers. One more thing: since it was lunch service and I had to order our meal and pay for it before we were served I left a generous tip which, in retrospect, was not earned since we were completely ignored during our meal. I suppose I should have mentioned it to the staff but there was no one around when we left the restaurant except the three waitstaff who were still chatting in the corner. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Etto even though we live in Paso Robles.

I was sadly disappointed with this one. The amount of bread that was on it was a lot. Usually most places that make Italians with hoagies, will go ahead and remove some of the bread so that it has enough space for the meat and everything else. This one was probably 2/3 bread, the rest was the actual accoutrements. I was not a fan of the muffaletta. But that's on me because I'm not a muffaletta fan. Meats were good but the whole sandwich didn't mesh for me. Staff was really nice, the selections of cheese were awesome but that place was hot! Of course fried tastes better, but grilled was great as well. Covered in cabbage and special sauce. The sauce was excellent and addictive, easily defeated all the cabbage. And the fresh fish pieces in these were huge/thick, just awesome. The salsa that came on the side I guess is for the tortilla chips, since the taco had that special sauce on it, so no need salsa on it to detract from the special sauce. The tortilla chips seemed to be fresh cut and fried in house, was so crunchy good, especially when get a chip with a bit of salt on it. - Salmon salad = this was fantastic as well.
