Ethyl's is such a thoughtfully curated space, I loved being able to look around and see all of the antiques and my dad really enjoyed pointing out various pieces and giving me fun facts! I decided on the pulled pork plate with the potato salad and fries apples, my dad got the half chicken, and my mom got the chicken tenders! The potato salad is where it is at! It's served warm and is mixed with all the flavors. The bbq itself is decent but it is not the best I've ever had! I think this space is great for get togethers and catching up with friends. They have multiple bars, pool tables, volleyball courts, and a large patio. Looking forward to enjoying this place in the summer!

First time, nice ambiance but the prime rib was ok. Catfish was great!! Sides were great but, meat was too fatty. Prices were a bit high as well for 2 people $82.

Ethyl's catered an event for almost 300 guests. Lettuce salad, bbq brisket, potato salad, chicken, were each excellent. Ethyl's had everything at the venue well before needed so it could be set out, cafeteria style, for our guests. The amount of food delivered was almost perfect to the number of guests. One item ran out just before the last guest went through the line, but the other meat entree and sides were still available so no one missed a meal.

This is great place to bring the family/kids along with large groups. There is a ton of room and tables along with seating inside/outside. The kids love being able to run/play outside while waiting for the food. The food is always pretty good too. We were there last Saturday night and had a party of 20. We were seated really quick and Shelby took VERY good care of all of us. I got their pork steak and it was fantastic! We always have a good time here and the service is always great.

Ethyl's gives small town, retro, country bar with good BBQ and bar food. The space looks great for the summer - has an outdoor volleyball court and playground! - and is also cozy for the winter. The food was good! My mom ordered a salad, grandma had the pulled pork plate, my dad got the nachos and I ordered a cheeseburger. My dad is a repeat customer and really likes their nachos. As it was my first time, I can say that on a burger scale this was a solid one. Dipping it in BBQ sauce was perfect. Grandma had so much food she took some home and my mom finished her salad and liked it. Service was good.

Meh, wasn't impressed with the BBQ Nachos that are a favorite here. I've tried them before years ago which I don't remember how it tasted. This time the nachos were very dry. Everything was dry, BBQ meat was dry, didn't have much on there. Granted it was later in the evening, & it was busy so maybe I received the bottom of the barrel. I do like the toppings that come with & there was quite a portion; too bad I didn't care for it. I only had 3 bites & brought the rest home for others to have. I preferred my aunt's Spinach Artichoke Dip. Our server was wonderful though & up to beat with our table of 6, so I appreciated her keeping up with the order & drinks, & just being nice overall. Great service, but I would try something else for dinner next time.

I have been to ethyls a few times with friends to get drinks but this was my first time coming and eating. It was a beautiful day so my husband and I decided to sit outside. The inside was packed and the patio was packed as well. Our waitress came up to us and got our drinks and even apologized for the wait even though that wasn't necessary. We got a bucket of beer to drink. To eat I got the pulled pork sandwich and my husband got the brisket plate. Both were very good. I really enjoyed the coleslaw that was on my sandwich. On our table was a variety of BBQ sauces that are all very good! Our waitress was very nice. The service was a bit slow but like I said they were packed when we went, so we understood. Also our waitress even told us that our food order was in but the kitchen was backed up. I really appreciated this because she was just letting us know that our food was being made. The manger even came by and apologized for the slow service. Overall, good experience here and I really liked how attentive the staff was.

I just arrived in MO for my first time in this state. Our hotel receptionist recommended Ethyl's and we jumped on it! I loved the ambiance and most everything about the place was awesome. No draft beer was a bummer, especially for such awesome BBQ. I did have a couple bottles of 5 Day IPA from the O'Fallon Brewery. The brisket was very dry, too lean for that cut... The pulled pork and St Louis style ribs were both excellent! Here I had another gripe though, the meat combo I ordered came with a tub of their house BBQ sauce and the red cap "spicy" was on the counter. I could not tell the difference, there was literally zero heat in the red cap version. House made chips were great with the chili lime dip. Mac and cheese was just ok, I would have expected some bits of brisket or bacon in there being a smokehouse and all. I started out thinking 4 stars but as I thought it all out, this place could do a bit better in a few areas... Worth a shot though!

We have driven past Ethyl's many times and decided that it was time to try them. We were disappointed in the service and the food taste and value. We were seated immediately but it took around 10 minutes before someone came to take our drink order. Our waitress brought our drinks pretty quickly and said she would be back to take our order. It was another 15 minutes before she came back, saying that she forgot about us. She was apologetic and took our order. I ordered the smoked chicken with a baked potato and a dinner salad. All of my food came out together. I'm used to the salad coming out first and it wasn't ideal to try and eat the salad before the hot food went cold. The chicken was small and the taste was bland. The dark meat was edible but the breast meat was dry and I couldn't eat it. The potato was tiny but tasty. My boyfriend ordered the half rack of ribs with beans and broccoli. The ribs had a good sauce but like the chicken, were bland and a little tough. There was hardly any smoke taste to them and no smoke ring. The beans were ok. Kind of like a paste and the broccoli was fine. All in all, the place was very average. It will probably be a long time before we give them another try especially since there are so many amazing choices in the area.

Ethyl's has a number of very different sections. At the front door is the bar section. This area is actually rather large. There is also a fairly substantial restaurant portion with tables. There are pool tables at the back of the restaurant. While I was there, no one was playing pool but I would imagine this area gets a lot of use. Beyond the pool tables is an outdoor patio. I've never sat in this section at any of my previous visits. I'll need to rectify this oversight very soon. They also have an outdoor sand volleyball court. A friend plays volleyball here regularly. Started off with an order of wings. Ethyl's has some of the best wings in town! Absolutely delicious. Sarah brought out our meals. My friend had Grilled Chicken Breast with fries and coleslaw. The chicken was covered with cheese. My friend said he probably didn't need the cheese, but he certainly enjoyed it! I had a pork steak with coleslaw and a side salad. I was so busy eating the wings, I didn't get to my salad before my meal came. The pork steak was HUUUGE. It was covered in barbecue sauce so my first thought was that most of it was probably bone. As I cut into it, it quickly became apparent that wasn't true. The bone was actually pretty small. Took half the pork steak and all of my salad home. The coleslaw was also extremely good. Although Ethyl's calls itself a saloon (and smokehouse), because of the separation between the bar and restaurant sections, it doesn't have the feel (or sound) of a bar when sitting in the restaurant. Parking is sometimes a little difficult though I've definitely had worse. Ethyl's has its own parking lot but considering Ethyl's is always packed (everybody knows Ethyl's is awesome and a great value), the lot isn't really big enough and is almost always full. This is very literally my only complaint. Love Ethyl's!!

    Interior is awesome!
    Alan P.

It's actually a 4.5 but I felt I needed to offset some rather negative reviews on here. The place's interior is like a museum of old gas station signs and lights and just some really awesome antiques. Full bar and they have a stage and nice looking patio and outdoor stuff (it's February when we went). The food was pretty darn good, smoked pork steak and smoked brisket were spot on. My only complaint was a rather mediocre salad otherwise it rocks.

We stumbled upon this place as we were in the area. We were pleasantly surprised as the decor was super cool. Livvi was our server and was awesome. She looks like Taylor Swift with long brown hair too. . We started with the nachos and they were SOOOOOO good and more than enough for 3+ people. I got the chicken and ribs combo and the ribs were great basted with an apple bbq sauce and the chicken was walnut smoked. So different but really good and fall off the bone ribs!!!

I split a full rack with mom for my most recent birthday meal and I was not disappointed! Naturally, we each had plenty of leftovers. The ribs came out with that perfect dark, smoky bark that's packed with flavor. The meat underneath was oh so tender. For one side, I went with applesauce - a classic. Appropriately chilled, it was a nice, fresh component to a largely roll-me-out-the-door meal. It was topped with a very confident amount of cinnamon. Heavy-handed for my taste, but if cinnamon is your jam, you'll be thrilled. The baked beans, however, came in hot. And I don't mean temperature; I mean with a spicy surprise. The sweetness of the applesauce cut down the bite of the heat, but I longed for milk to put out the little fire on my tongue. Fall off the bone meat, plenty of different sauces to try, fun drink options. What we ordered: Big Muddy - 10/10 had brisket and smoked sausage in it. Had to add more horseradish sauce to it but that's just my preference. Brisket Plate - 9/10 brisket was delicious but knocking off a point because the sides were...ok. Coleslaw had NO flavor just like mush and the Potato salad was nothing to write home about. Needed more flavor. Brownie pie slice: 10/10 moist and crumbly crust. I want an entire pie! Service: There was no one there when we arrived so we had no experience with any wait time. My wife checked in online while we were still at the rink, and just as we pulled into the parking lot, she received the text letting us know our table was ready. The timing couldn't have been better. We walked in and were seated immediately, which is always such a great start, especially after an active afternoon. As soon as we settled in, we were greeted with their famous warm bread, which never disappoints. The ambiance at this location is consistently lively, and it's one of the reasons we enjoy coming back. Country music fills the room, the energy is upbeat, and the big-screen TVs keep the atmosphere buzzing. With March Madness in full swing, the whole place had that exciting basketball buzz in the air, making the dining experience even more fun. The service was exceptional from start to finish. Our server, Joy, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and quick to take our order. She made us feel well taken care of the entire time. For my meal, I went with the Country Fried Chicken, one of my favorites, and asked for the brown gravy on the side. It was absolutely delicious. The crispiness was on another level, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. For my sides, I chose the bowl of chili and the buttered corn, both of which were flavorful and satisfying. My wife ordered the beef kabob served over a bed of rice, and she loved every bite. The seasoning, the tenderness, the portion, everything hit the mark. Our boys were just as happy with their meals. Our older son ordered the herb‑crusted chicken, which he enjoyed, and our younger one went with the classic cheeseburger and steak fries. Both meals were a hit, and the portions were generous enough that we even had some leftovers to take home. Overall, this visit to Texas Roadhouse was another fantastic experience for our family.
