We had a lot of seafood during our short trip to St John's so we decided to change it up with Ethiopian cuisine. I've had tried injera before in Toronto enjoyed it and same goes for here. Though maybe our tolerance of spice is weak but the some of the proteins are a bit too spicy to our liking. It's still pretty good value the buffet option gave us a good amount of options to try from lamb and chicken with lentils and I believe spinach for $30 for two. Service was quick and I love the big straw topper (I looked it up I think it's called a mesob) for the reveal of the food. The decor inside is quite modest, with some Dollarama plant and pot centrepieces that, frankly, I think isn't necessary. This is coming from someone like me that prefers real plants or none at all. This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and i gotta say, words aren't enough to describe the flavours coming from this food, real authentic Ethiopian flavours and the staff was absolutely amazing to be served by, i wish i could remember what everything was, but i don't, but it was basically a sample platter with a bit of everything they got, though I had to say that lamb dish was my favourite out of them all, restaurant itself was pretty nice as well it had a lot of of what I guess it was Ethiopian stuff and they had a shelf full of Ethiopian spices and stuff, so I thought that was pretty cool, I don't have stuff like this back where I am from I am from Labrador city so it's a real treat when I get to try new foods, I wish I could take some back to Labrador city with me LOL, on a final note I did not leave that restaurant hungry though I wish I could have finished all my food.
