You have assumed am upset due to your not removing furniture. That is not it at all. I bought sofa and 2 chairs i believe Nov 9...the fabric and chairs were to be sent to upholsterer. Those 2 chairs sat on the floor of 2 different Ethan Allen stores until January 22 when they were finally delivered to the upholstery shop. Over 2 months went by my designer and I trying to track them down. The EA salesperson came in rarely and had few answers for us...and they could have been done by now. Meanwhile the fabric I bought at same time, was finally sent to them with no name identifying which job. My designer had to make a special trip and go to the shop and open all sorts of bolts as she was the only one who could recognize it...and finally identified the bolt. Neither her name nor mine was on the address to identify what job it was for. The amount of time we had to spend on this was off the charts and wasted our time personified. After driving 25 minutes to get to this store (the closest store to me), the store was locked early for no apparent reason even though it was within their regular store hours. I tried calling to figure out why it was closed and no one answered and there was no indication why it was closed tonight (they close at 8 and I was there at 6:50). This seems like prime furniture shopping with new years so I found the whole experience bizarre. It was also our first time to the store and, though it's pretty and well-lit, it certainly soured our whole experience. On October 30, 2021 my husband and I ordered a custom Colton Cal King Headboard with Design Consultant, Shijun 'Peter' Li. We spent about a hour selecting the details and I explained to him exactly what we wanted in a headboard and why. It was very important that the fabric and nail heads of our new headboard matched the Ethan Allen footboard and side rail that we already have. Our previous headboard was damaged and we were only looking to replace the headboard. We communicated this to Peter and even took pictures of a couch in the showroom to confirm that the 'antique gold' nail heads would match the pieces that we already had at home. The total sales order including the $199 delivery charge and sales tax was $2,222.88. In December 2021 I received a call that the headboard was ready to be delivered but when it was uncovered it did not have the nail heads that I requested so I did not accept delivery. I contact Peter and he advised that he would take care of it. I patiently waited and 2/8/22 he emailed 'The nail head our workroom can add on the headboard, our company offer the special accommodation price is $875 (the labor and parts).' I was very clear when I placed my order that I wanted the nail heads however Peter placed the order wrong so I asked him to cancel the order and issue a refund because I refuse to pay the additional amount to fix his mistake and $3,100 is rather excessive for just a headboard and that was not the price he originally quoted me. On 2/20/22 I emailed Peter to follow-up on the refund and Peter sent me a email to advise, 'Donna, I have checked with our operation manager, she said already complete the refund processing and you should get a refund these couple of days.' Once again I did not receive the refund and followed up with Peter AGAIN on 3/8/22 and he called 3/12/22 to advise that the refund had not been issued and that a 20% restocking fee would be subtracted from the refund. I am requesting a full refund as soon as possible. Not only did Peter Li screw up my order, Ethan Allen is also trying to change me for his mistake. I am furious with Peter and Ethan Allen and will never shop there again. This has been a horrible experience! read more

And I'd also like to commend Rebecca, the store manager, who has been extremely helpful with a couple of issues that have come up. Oh they are WONDERFUL as long as you are spending money! We order two expensive couches in July 2022 and they were delivered October 2022. An incredible amount of money was spent. One couch is fine. The other couch is a DISASTER. When you sit on ALL cushions, except TWO, you sink down to the ground. I communicated to the store that something was wrong with the couch. I spent EXTRA on this couch for the performance fabric AND additional cushion stuffing. They kept telling me that the cushions just needed to be turned over - once a week. Finally, I'd had enough, and they techs out. Of course that didn't solve the problem, as they came out with wafers for the cushions. They admitted that they thought we needed new cushions. More time passes, two more techs come out with cushion inserts, and it's obvious that this is not the problem. They sat on the cushions and wrote a report that the frames are the problem. Rebecca at Ethan Allen sent the salesman out - a very nice man - who indeed declared that it was the frames that were the problem. He took photos. Guess they didn't believed the techs OR ME. Then he called and said he needed photos for Rebecca of my husband and I sitting on the couch. Now it has been MORE TIME and guess what? REBECCA wants a new set of techs to come out! WTF?!!! My poor husband has nowhere to sit - it is now nearly APRIL of 2023, and they are STILL STALLING??? I have a nice chair to sit in, but for him to watch TV, he has to sit in this dreadful couch and his back is a nightmare because of it! This couch was over $8,000.00!!! KIDDING ME??? I hope if you buy something from this company that you don't have issues with it, because their customer service is HOPELESS!!! read more

She did not feel like a sales rep in a typical furniture store where you feel pressured to leave with a piece of furniture that day! She took her time & didn't rush us. She gave us time to talk things over & walk around by ourselves. She gave us her honest opinions on fabric choices which we were hesitant about because we have a dog. She set expectations for delivery far out because of covid, estimated the latest would be March & we got our couch delivered last week. Best early Christmas present ever! If you are on the market for a new couch, drop everything and go to the Tustin Ethan Allen and ask for Paul Vildales! I was on the hunt for a quality, forever couch (sectional) for 1.5 years when my mom finally suggested we try EA. I was reluctant at first as I hadn't stepped into a store since I lived on the UES and found it to have more formal designs. I was totally wrong! The showroom is beautiful and filled with modern couches that will last (unlike the RH couches I have previously owned and discarded very 2 years)! I was blown away by the number of fabric options as well as the various customizable configurations of the couches, down to the seat cushions. My mom and I walked in on a random Friday and were greeted by Paul who allowed us to browse, uninterrupted until we were ready to ask questions. He proceeded to have us do a seat cushion test where we sat on various cushions and guessed their material. Paul was so knowledgeable and guided us to a fill that would be long lasting and comfortable (down wrapped foam). Once we decided on a couch and the configuration, Paul (with his endless patience) asked what accessories I was planning to accent the room with as well as a number of other questions to help us narrow down the fabric options. We agonized for 2 hours before we gave up, only to return 2 more times before we finally settled on the perfect fabric. Paul was amazing throughout the process - he texted me several options in different lighting and was always available to discuss. He was my interior designer on speed dial and I am beyond thankful to have had his expertise and amazing eye. My couch was delivered (ahead of schedule!) to my apartment in NYC and all aspects of this were handled by EA. While my couch was beautiful I noticed some bothersome wrinkles and texted Paul with pictures. He responded right away, noted my concerns, and put in a request to EA operations. The very next day, EA Customer Service called me and a couch technician (never knew they existed!) was scheduled to arrive the following week to troubleshoot. Turned out my couch was fine but the "comfort wrinkles" really bothered me. The technician was understanding and let me know he would return 2 weeks later with extra fill to smooth out the couch to my liking. Paul was a rockstar throughout the process and made sure to check in. My couch is now exactly to my liking and I am so thrilled with the customer service that Paul and EA provided. I will definitely be visiting Paul and EA for my upcoming home remodel! read more

The displays are really wonderful here. The furniture and accessories are beautifully shown, and I always see so many pretty pieces when I come here. We came here during the early part of the summer to find some new furniture for family room and a bedroom. We had a friendly salesperson approach us the moment we walked in the door. I had already been here several times before and knew exactly what I wanted. We ordered a 4-piece bedroom set right away and held off on the family room furniture until I could decide on which fabrics we wanted. This is where the store's great service ends. We were supposed to receive the furniture about 6 weeks ago. Only one piece came, and then nothing. No phone call about when it would be delivered or how long it would be delayed. We've called several times and haven't received a definitive answer about when it's coming. I'm hoping we'll receive the bedroom furniture by Christmas. We'll be so grateful! Thank goodness we ordered our family room furniture from another store and received it within 4 weeks! It's too bad I like the furniture, bedding, and accessories from Ethan Allen so much. The furniture is just too expensive to not know when (and if) we are going to receive the rest of the bedroom pieces. He showed us different couches and different styles, as well as advised us on what color fabric would look best with what we were trying to achieve. this is a really fun location especially if you are looking to get something done super quickly. They have a lot of stuff in this place and it makes it really easy for you to find something fast so you can get in and out. I hate when I have to stay at a location for multiple hours because they do not have really good selection so I have to take forever just to find something good. This place does not have that problem everything here is super cute and it is in a very highly traffic area so there's tons of other locations if you want to find a lot of different stuff that fits your needs read more

We have been customers for a long time but recently had a really bad experience. The sofa delivery guys arrived early, and I was not prepared. Both of our cars were on the driveway, and I proceeded to move my car, but the delivery guy told me not to as they were going to lift the sofa over it. I wanted to move my car anyway, but they had already parked the truck behind our cars and were taking out the sofa. I was very uncomfortable with this arrangement but did not want to have the guys close their truck and move it and then move it back and waste their time, so I reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately, later on I discovered a dent on my car, on the upper side where they lifted the sofa over. I immediately called the store and asked to speak to the manager but was told that she is not available. I called the following day, and she was on a meeting. I called again and then she was on a vacation. When I finally reached manager Rebecca, she completely dismissed my complaint, would not even reach out to the delivery guys to inquire or show any concern whatsoever about the property damage. Her final words to me were "the case is closed." read more

My wife and I planned a significant furniture update for our home. The Ethan Allen product line appeared to be a good fit for our style and budget. A pleasant in-store designer met with us and took the time to create a design plan to share with us, but didn't keep to the in-store appointment he'd set. He was instead trying to address a sale to another client and thought it worthwhile to let that appointment run half an hour into ours, at which point we moved on. He called us apologetically on our drive back home. We feel badly for the designer, but we can only assume that Ethan Allen's compensation arrangements encourage them to overbook appointments. read more

I have been a customer of Ethan Allen for 30 years! I still have a few pieces from way back! Solid, good quality furniture! Something to pass down a generation or two! But, in the last 15 years, their product line quality has gone to hell!! For example, we bought a leather sectional couch and ottoman's about 4 years ago! From the get go, the cushions sagged! Uncomfortably sagging. Needed help to off the couch and I'm not old! We complained and Ethan Allen, reluctantly replaced the cushions with firmer ones only because we were long time customers. So, here we are 4 years later, the couch is worn out. The dye comes off when cleaning the leather with quality leather cleaner! It sags! The leather dye color is blotchy and fading. The piping is worn, something that started immediately after purchase. The ottoman has mysterious stains. We're not slobs! Kids are grown! No dogs! Just two of us! We take care of our house and furnishings. So what happened with Ethan Allen? Part of the problem is that they out source the manufacture of their sofas/couches. Made in Mexico with inferior products! We paid $6,600 for the sectional and I couldn't be more disappointed. Ask the store sales reps about product quality going downhill and out sourcing and they just look at you with the deer in headlights stare. Sadly, we're finished with Ethan Allen and their inferior product. At that price range, you expect better! read more

My husband and I desperately needed to upgrade our furniture in our living and dining room and kitchen eating area so we headed to Ethan Allen with the hopes of getting some good ideas. We were greeted warmly by Jeinny who then proceeded to guide us through our complete decorating process. She was friendly, thoughtful and incredibly patient with us as we made decisions to transform our rooms. On delivery day, she showed up ready to work with the amazing delivery team, even dusting and staging our rooms!! I absolutely love her designs and cannot wait to show them off!!! We remodeled our home and needed help with a plan for furnishing/upgrading several rooms last year. We met with interior designer Paul Vidales at Ethan Allen in Tustin. His ability to get inside our heads, understand us, and guide us through his plan for us in just the first meeting was astounding. He had us try all the seating to see which we were most comfortable in, which colors and styles we liked. He came to our home to see our environment and get a feel for who we are. He came up with a plan for each room, with design boards, details and options for us. I have to say, each item was a home run. Also, during our construction and decision making process, he offered his help and came to the house to see options for flooring, paint color, backsplash, among other items and brought fabric samples with him to make sure everything would coordinate. I have called him many times with questions about how something might look, which chandelier would work, styling my entryway, and many design issues outside of just furniture. As customers of Ethan Allen, we did not have to pay extra for his services, which was an incredible bonus for us! He is technically excellent, always considering the behind the scenes elements and why something would work or not. He is prompt to always answer calls or texts. He is kind and a very good listener, and respectful of you and your home. He quickly became one of our favorite people, he is just phenomenal at his job and leaves you feeling so very happy with the final outcome. I ordered a sofa chair from this Ethan Allen, this was my first experience with them and I looked forward to having quality furniture built to my specification. This chair took more than double the promised lead time to be delivered. Once delivered Ethan Allen would not allow their own gift cards to be used to pay the balance of the invoice. I was given this gift card from my family with the intent of helping with the total cost of the chair. I was told by the manager tough luck and it's only good for the initial deposit or in store purchases. Strange how this was not brought up when purchasing the gift card. There was zero effort made to assist or compensate for either issue. I sold the gift card at a loss and will never give Ethan Allen another cent. Do not expect Ethan Allen staff to help you if you have any problems or concerns. I can still appreciate my chair due to the fabric / detail choices I made but its quality was not mind blowing and it is nowhere near good enough to warrant putting up with the complete lack of service Ethan Allen provides or the lead times they require. read more
