We recently dined at ETER with a reservation for 9, enjoying the lovely rooftop seating. Despite being packed at 9:30 PM, the atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. The service was commendable, with our server Frances being attentive and friendly, even amid the crowd.
The drink selection was impressive, featuring a variety of wines, cocktails, and beers. Only one drink had to be sent back, which was promptly addressed.
As for the food, it was a mixed experience:
3 Cheese and Shrimp Dip-This dish was a disappointment. The dip was grainy with few shrimp at the bottom, and the chips served were too hard. The dish had potential but fell short in execution.
- Ceviche Empanadas-These were bland and confusing in temperature, leaving much to be desired.
- Chicken Croquettes-I didn't try them myself, but they were mostly left untouched, with others commenting on their odd texture.
- Snapper-This was a highlight. Crispy, flavorful, and beautifully presented--delicious!
-Beef with Gnocchi-The gnocchi was perfect and thoroughly enjoyed.

For dessert, we celebrated a 70th birthday, and while you have to pay for the cake and candles, it added a nice touch to the occasion. However, be aware there's a service charge for groups larger than 5, and they can only split checks into two per party.
Overall, it was a good experience with some standout moments, but not without its hiccups. Worth a visit, but perhaps not relying solely on the menu's promises. read more
