Tl;dr Great energy but very repetitive routines. These Zumba classes weren't as exciting to me but…read moreyou may like them- they're easy to follow! Every instructor has their own style, so id heavily recommend to try a few classes first before committing! Z U M B A C L A S S E S I've attended Sat and Mon classes taught by LeSonya Letona. I love her energy and excitement! However she only has a select some 10-15 songs and recycles them. If you like very repetitive movements and easy dance moves, then shes a great Zumba instructor for you. She was too repetitive in my opinion. It's very easy to follow along with her. By the second time I went to her class, I could already remember/guess her moves. The evening classes usually have about 10-20 people per class. The morning classes often have 5-10 people per class. I like upbeat and personable instructors who encourage individual expression, and teach various dance moves. Although zumba has a lot of repetition, I want to be able to keep up while continuously learning some new moves/expression. A little challenge makes it a great workout! W A I T No need to come early. Just arrive 5 mins prior or on time to class! P R I C E I bought a 10 class Groupon here because I just moved here and wanted to look for Zumba classes to try out since bay club and 24hr fit isn't available near me. $10 walk in class $45 5 classes $60 10 classes $70 monthly unlimited For just the classes and the quality of classes, I think the price is definitely too steep. Go on the website to get more info: lldanceandfitness.com L O C A T I O N New location change! It's located near Costco! 2997 Cumberland Blvd Suite 230 Atlanta, GA 30339 B E C A R E F U L If you want to add your own little flair/expressions, make sure you stand in the back! Otherwise the manager will come up to you and tell you off. (Ie: When we are moving forwards, two steps to the left and two steps forward, the instructor doesn't move her hands, but I add my flair and do a pulling motion with my hands and arms as if I'm pulling myself forward. This is not ok!) ____ MY ENCOUNTER The manager told me it wasn't ok to change up the moves so I nicely apologized to her and then also approached LeSonya and apologized to her as i didn't want for her to think I was disrupting/being rude. LeSonya responded kindly and said she didn't think I was, but she didn't want the new people to be detered by any variation. So I just said I'd stand in the back. I don't want drama. I'm just here to enjoy the music and workout. I thought it was weird because they don't have to look at me..? We can watch whoever we want. Also, I was standing on the very side of front row. I wasn't making my own routine but only adding my own personality. I've never heard of this type of complaint in my few years of attending zumba classes at other facilities. Every instructor has their own style, so id heavily recommend to try a few classes first before committing! This place wasn't my cup of tea but it may be yours!! LA Fit is just a better fit for my fitness journey.

Awesome classes! I get overly excited about going to my Zumba classes every Tuesday and Saturday…read more First time I've ever been in an exercise class that I love!

Ballethnic Dance Company is a local performing arts group. Ballethnic is all about promoting…read moreculturally diverse and classically trained dancers. This predominately African American company performs ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, point, modern and other dance techniques. Based out of East Point, the dance studio offers classes to children, teens and adults. Summer dance camp is also available. Throughout the year the company performs at theaters around Atlanta. I actually attended one of their shows at Georgia Tech and it was well put together. Just recently they presented the Urban Nutcracker. For events and information about upcoming shows go to www.ballethnic.org.

I really think someone with a business/marketing mindset could get this studio to where it needs to be. The quality of teaching is second to none. A few teachers do need to remember that some of the dancers are truly kids doing their best but overall it is a solid place for a dance skills foundation. Original Post on 2/22/16: The concept is wonderful however the communication is horrible. As a new family to the company (my previous company Lee Harper closed), I never truly know what is going on. They should really invest in a newsletter so that people will know. I did not know at all that they had a Nutcracker production and actually went to another company's production of it. They never send notices of upcoming productions home. Randomly and inconsistently we receive half thought out emails. With the amount that the company cost, one would think that simply sending communication home would not be a problem. Also parents are not guaranteed a ticket at the performance. Their production of the Harlem Renaissance was sold out and several parents were closed out of the performance. Why not simply send one ticket home for each child? Additional ones can always be purchased. They only have class on Saturday mornings for elementary aged kids. This doesn't work for everyone. Also, parking is nonexistent . There is a lot for about 4 cars! Three stars because the potential is there for a strong business. They have the talent just not the business expertise to keep clients.

I have been to Studio Dionne once. It was around September 2011. I have a Groupon-Now voucher for 1…read moreclass ($8). I would give this place 4.5 stars. Do bring: water, wear contact lenses, ballet shoes. Some people wear leotards + tights, others wear t-shirt+ shorts. Just wear what is comfortable for you. Location: short distance to I-85. Parking is extremely tricky. The parking spaces are limited. Facility: super clean, very well renovated. The classroom I was in was a little crowded. I took the Monday evening ballet basics class and I had no ballet experience at all. The instructor was a man in his 30s or 40s. I loved the class, the atmosphere was warm and the instructor was quite enthusiastic, however he is sometimes a little strict in my opinion. I thought the adult basic class is for adults who had no experience and who practice ballet for fun. Most of the skills he taught were quite basic, that was until 30 minutes before the class ends. At that time, he increased the difficulty level, and I had a hard time to catch up, especially since I am not familiar with the french terminology. He did correct the form for the students. Price: For adults, Single Class Card costs $20 and 10 Class Card costs $150. And I do not think they run any deals except for the Groupon-Now deal (which I believe is for new students only). So this place is quite expensive in my opinion. Compare with Atlanta Ballet, Dance 411 and Gotta dance Atlanta: Atlanta Ballet-Adult open division: Pros: $10 (student price) drop in price for a 90 mins class. The instructor I had was very patient. Cons: None. Dance 411: Pros: Runs a lot of deals. The instructor I had was very patient. Cons: Hard time to find a parking space, I had to park at a nearby Chinese takeout each time. They discontinued the ballet drop in class and the instructor was teaching only kids classes now. Gotta dance Atlanta: Pros: Runs a lot of deals. Cons: I took the explore ballet class, and the instructor was not very experienced and not quite patient. I do not recommend explore ballet class taught by Rikki. Also the facility is not as well renovated as Studio Dionne.

The first phone call we had, she hung up on me while I was still talking. I explained my needs and she felt the need to repeat what I said as if it were her own knowledge.. She has to have the last word on everything and has to say something about everything. The niceness of the studio space and the price is what encouraged me to follow through. She doesn't know how to treat people/professionals! I would recommend the space with 5 but would have to take away 2 because of the poor social and poor professional conduct of Pamela! Just be prepared to have an assumptive and combative interaction when dealing with Pamela. Everyone else seemed to be more kind and the facility was what we needed!
