The owner & choreographer Miss India has done AMAZING with my daughter growth. My daughter started off as a Broadway Baby and now she has earned her position on Broadway Competition Team Season 9. As a Broadway Baby Miss India & Miss Dee worked with these young ladies and cared for them as their own. I love the sisterhood that has been formed with all the ladies ranging from 4-18. Miss India believes in hard work, respect, sister hood & good grades. One of the quote my daughter says a lot is " if you miss up you just keep going" my daughter use this quote on a daily. I can see a big change in her confidence and she ALWAYS EXCITED to go to class. This is our 3rd studio and I'm impressed and we are Broadway Parents for life! To add also the communication from MsIndia is AMAZING. The monthly schedule comes out two months at a time and if anything changes which is rare she communicates that as well via email, parents group chat, Broadway App and/or text msg.

They also have lots of adult dance classes such as ballet, jazz, and hip hop. I have not tried any of these classes but I want to.

Kara Jacobson is a phenomenal instructor, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping each dancer grow. She creates such a welcoming and supportive environment, where I feel both safe and encouraged to push myself. Every class is challenging in the best way and leaves me feeling stronger, more graceful, and more confident. What I love most is how this space feels like a true community. I shared with her that I had no experience but was looking to learn in a fun environment. She recommended Mr.C's Beginners Ballet. I mentioned that I read the description and that the class was not a 101 class. She was friendly and encouraged me so I thought I would give it a shot. When I arrived I shared with the woman wearing glasses at the check in desk that this was my first time. She was short with me and I had to ask where to go until the class started. I came out before class started and mentioned it looked as though everyone had quite a bit of experience. The three women at the front including Sarah assured me that it would be uncomfortable but to give it a try. I even asked if Mr.C would yell and they all said no. I had and eerily similar experience to the other reviewers with no experience. I was berated throughout the entire class. Even while I cried Mr. C persisted on critiquing me. He moved my head and forced me to look at him. I also lost the will to continue when everyone had to dance across the room. As he was shouting that I had to do it I calmly said I had enough. I went to gather my thing and he thrust his hands at me and shouted, "NEVER COME BACK!" As I put my shoes on in the lobby not one of the three women said a word. I would not recommend TADA. My goal was to learn, not be humiliated. This is not ok for anyone. I have read the review responses on Mr.C's background and I don't think this serves as an excuse for rude and unprofessional behavior. Perhaps just be direct and let adult beginners know that this isn't the place to learn. What I did take away was a reminder that when you are an expert and someone is a novice to always be patient and encouraging. The world could use more patience and kindness.

They've got a ton of classes and events coming up and they sell clothes there, as well so you can make your tutu and leotard dreams come true. Ok, moving on... Emi was super friendly and didn't make any of us feel like we were too stiff to be there (thank God, I saw bullets streaming down hubby's face when we pulled into the parking lot). The event we attended was called Elites Get Coupled, which was appropriate given that it was almost Valentine's Day. Though my guy was totally nervous about this, I'm so glad we went! Emi, along with Lorien, taught us some merengue moves, and it turns out almost anyone can learn to dance. We felt pretty good about our abilities by the end of the event! Lorien brought in her all-girl hip-hop group (I think they're part of the Pin-Up Troupe?), and they were SO COOL... and talented, obviously. I could have watched these ladies perform all day!! Though they may have had me feeling like my new merengue moves were a little lame, at least now I know I have something to work towards... right? One of the best parts about Dancefx is the fact that they're a non-profit and donate to all kinds of local charities that support causes like fighting AIDS, helping the homeless and people with disabilities, and so on. I had many questions and she was understanding. We went from attending summer's only to my daughter becoming a member of the Perfoming Company. I trusted Ms. Tayo and her staff with the development and growth of my daughter as a dancer and a confident young lady. Ms. Tayo had always been approachable and has a big heart for the kids. She's very passionate about the arts and she will push your child to be their best. Over the years I have seen the staff change and maybe even some procedures. But the commitment to helping children be their best has remained a constant priority at Tayo Reed's PAC.

In terms of dance, her technique in modern, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary (her favorite genres) have drastically improved throughout the years. She was invited to attend a well-known performing arts high school in Atlanta and has continued her studies with Ms. Tayo while completing her first college degree. Ms. Tayo also helped my daughter boost her confidence level in terms of performing as well as in her personal and academic endeavors. Ms. Tayo has always made myself and my daughter feel like family, so much so that as a college student she and some of Ms. Tayo's former students who are now adults continue to frequent the school to assist Ms. Tayo with the younger students. The friendships she gained while participating in Ms. Tayo's program are unbreakable and it is a joy to see the students maintaining their relationship in their blossoming adult lives. My daughter has traveled with Ms. Tayo in dance competitions and a variety of other shows and had the pleasure of earning her first paycheck as a dancer when she assisted Ms. Tayo and her very talented band. It is unfortunate that the parent in a prior review had such a negative experience with Ms. Tayo's program. She works very hard to offer students on the southside of Atlanta opportunities to strengthen their performing arts skills that would otherwise not be afforded to them. She also works very hard to ensure that low to middle-income families are able to obtain good quality afterschool childcare and exposure to the performing arts at an EXTREMELY reasonable price. I will continue to support her in all of her future endeavors.
