House salad

Had a nice dinner here. Big portions, tasty food. The time between the appetizers and the entrees was a little longer than we would have liked. The chicken pieces were hit and miss. Some pieces were good but others were dry. My cousin ordered the 2 pita platter and it was so much food. I'd recommend sharing that platter!! All the food was fresh and delicious. Friendly staff!

Big place with good food! It's a good place for a big family! They are generous with their portion! The staff are so fast, and they come often to see if you need anything! The food was served really fast!

Quick fast delivery. First time ordering. Chicken pita was better then the gyro one. Depends what you like but the chicken was thin pieces not huge chunks like most restos serve. The pita is soft and yummy would be better with a bit more sauce but I won't bash them for that still great !

I don't go for Greek enough but my uncle loves it so we hit up one of his favourite spots in the Queen Mary area. We dropped by for a late Saturday lunch (around 2:00pm). They have a good lunch deal (soup or salad with your entree) everyday (11:00am to 4:00pm), happy hour (only on weekdays BUT goes from 11:00am to 7:00pm) and a 3 course table d'hote everyday (4:00pm to 10:00pm). - Cold pikilia ($19.00) - for the dips (from top left clockwise), skordalia (whipped potato and garlic), olive & gets tapenade, tzatziki, kopanisti (red pepper) and taramosalata (roe but usually it's more pink). There was also some feta, dolmades (meh) and spanakopita (excellently flaky). Side of pita comes out warm and plentiful. Prepare to be stuffed! - House salad - huge smack of feta on top of iceberg, purple cabbage and carrots. Decent but the soup was more enjoyable. - Cream of mushroom - there were two soups of the day (other was lentil soup). Cream of mushroom was delicious without being too heavy. Well balanced. - Grilled lamb chops ($24.00) - asked for it medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. Four good portions of tender, succulent chops. Comes with rice and fries. - Cretan moussaka ($16.00) - think a mix between lasagna and a shepherd's pie. Creamy from the bechamel sauce and a nice balance of flavour from the potatoes, zucchini, eggplant and minced veal/lamb. - Pork souvlaki pita ($13.00) - didn't try this but my Uncle always likes their pitas here. You'll roll out of Yia Sou with happy stomachs. Solid Greek spot.

Chicken gyro plate

Went here for a friends dinner. The location is right off Decarie on Queen Mary so it's also convenient. The space inside is bigger than I thought and we had a nice seating section so it's good for groups. The service was excellent. They were nice, helpful, attentive and on point. I had the Greek salad as my choice which was your typical Greek salad. I decided to get the chicken gyro plate. It was a good size portion which I love. The chicken itself was juicy and everything else on the plate was pretty good too. Overall I liked it and I'd say I'll be coming back here

Juste excellent ! Good portion and excellent quality for the price. The grilled octopus just melts in your mouth.

Baklava

A good Greek food experience. Cretan Moussaka was delicious and complete as a portion. Meat, vegetable, rice, layers over layers and topped with cheeeese. The meal is too big to finish and we brought some back home. I did not like the Espresso though! Why espresso in a Greek restaurant? Needed some to swallow the super sweet baklava. But the cup was so tiny and half fam before I reach some drops of the bitter dear :) The baklava is much bigger than what you get in Arab or Turc restaurants. I would like it more if It was crispier. In sum, I would definitely try Greek food again. I left with many untried items on the menu. Staff: friendly. Service: slow for a Sunday night and a half full restaurant. Prices a bit inflated but I say the big portion make up for it. Parking was plenty when we dined here. Ambiance is casual, good for children, medium level of noise.

Spanakopita with fried calamari side

Good greek restaurant. Nice to come with the family, plenty of space. I ordered one of the midday specials, spanakopita with a side ordered of fried calamari. Plenty of food.

Huge portions of great food. I got their 2 gyro pita plate (24$), which came with fries, rice, tzatziki and a choice of soup or salad. They give complementary pita and butter before your meal. Their pita is so soft and chewy; really the best pita I've ever had! Service is quick and friendly. They have a pleasant outdoor terrace for warm days. The menu is extensive and authentic. There are also many vegetarian options. There is a selection of delicious desserts as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

greek salad

I've been here many many times, ever since the restaurant first opened and I have to say it has never let me down: delicious, perfectly cooked Greek food complemented by the most amazing and friendly service. Last time I've been here, I had the fried calamari appetizer, which was excellent as always. We also tried the grilled octopus, lamb chops and chicken skewer, and all three dishes were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The octopus was the real winner, a clear 10/10. Their Greek salad has nice big chunks of vegetables and the most delicious olives. I also have to add, most of their dips and cold appetizers really set them apart from other Greek restaurants I've tried. The taramasalata really stands out, compared to some other Greek restaurants where it feels very cheap and tastes of only potatoes and starch. I will be back here many more times, and I hope their quality always stays on top.

The pita authetique is my go-to -- has the best most delicious, light, and creamy tzatziki sauce and delicious meat. The Pitarifque poutine is very yummy as well. A large is definitely LARGE and worth it especially if you're hungry. The gravy and fries are top notch. The deluxe burger all dressed is a Montreal staple! Comes with bacon, cheese, lettuce tomatoes, mayo, mustard, onion, insanely yummy spicy peppers, and 1/2 pound or so of fresh ground beef patties. They also have beer on tap -- IPA or lager -- small one is only $3.50! I pretty much eat here every week after or before the gym -- way better food and prices than patiti patata across the street IMO, although don't get me wrong, that place is also very good too.

We had the best time and that was the best dinner we have ever had the whole time we were in Montreal and if we ever come back in town, we will definitely stop by to eat some of that yummy food.

Spacious dining area with a section that shows off the fresh fish of the day-a smaller outdoor seating area.-only one table occupied given almost closing time. First, we quickly realized, for 3 of us, we ordered too much food. Started with the Fried Eggplant (Aubergine) and Tarama Salata. Both were tasty. The Tarama was milder and not as salty-every restaurant/city has their own version of my favorite dip. Greek Salad was just like in Athens-so much Feta, Olives and no lettuce -delicious. Grilled Squid was sliced thinly and perfectly seasoned! Oh we also had to try the Mexican Jumbo Shrimp-jumbo they were and tasty. At this point, we should've stopped but we had to try an entree. We ordered the Mediterranean Sea Bream (for 2) which was just right for 3 of us given our endless appetizers. The table side carving and plating of the fish was a nice touch. Fresh Bream was delicious. Of course we had leftovers. Service was very attentive and engaged matching the level of this spot. Extra thanks to the team for accommodating us at the late hour. Members of the staff thanked us as we were leaving-how often does that happen?! Don't miss this neighborhood Gem that will transport you to Athens.

We ordered a Tarama Salata for sharing-Milo's version was tasty and on the milder side. First course starters were Grilled Octopus (Sashimi quality) and Calamari- both were enjoyed. Presentation was "Let's just look at it and not eat" level. Second course was Dorade Royal (Sea Bream), Double Bone Lamb Chop (perfect medium rare and delicious) and I got the Tuna Burger. I haven't had many Tuna Burgers but this has to be the best one yet. So good it made me consider giving up Beef Burgers! & the Zucchini fries were so much better than potato fries. Dessert was Walnut Cake and Baklava Ice Cream. Cake was tasty and the Ice cream was a first as we we all had the Pastry version only-delicious! Service was exceptional from beginning to end. We got lucky to walk in and get a table without a reservation. They use their own Milo's EVOO (early harvest) which is a nice touch. Looks like they have other locations in a handful of major cities. A local friend's favorite that lived up to the hype!

No shade to older people, but we were with our 18 and 20 year old kids and the vibe was kinda vanilla. We were pretty hungry so decided to give it a go. Firstly, we are from Ontario and are not fluent in French. We will make the effort to do our best but usually the servers will just speak English, which we appreciate! Our server this day was just not the friendliest. She seemed annoyed with us from the get go. Whether it was our subpar attempt at speaking French or not, who knows. Definitely couldn't have been a reflection of our attitudes as we always go out of our way to be super respectful of people in the service industry as we have all worked in it in some capacity. The place was not very busy so it's not like she was slammed with orders. She took our order and then disappeared for 45 minutes lol. People were being served all around us but it seemed as though we had been forgotten. Our order was not complicated (2 Greek salads, and two chicken skewer plates). When our meal finally arrived, I was honestly shocked. The "village Greek salad" or however they called it was just tasteless. Huge pieces of pepper, huge pieces of tomato, some cucumber, minuscule feta and a few olives tossed in for good measure and the most pathetic gathering of lettuce underneath it all. Barely any oil, zero vinegar. It was just laughable. Server was nowhere to be seen so I couldn't ask for some extra oil and vinegar. Not once did she come by to see how we were doing or ask if we needed anything. Just couldn't be bothered, I guess. The chicken skewer platters were tasty enough but definitely nothing to write home about. We won't be returning on future visits to Montreal. The outside patio is cute but that was the only positive about our experience. Even trying to pay was a huge hassle as the server had seemingly disappeared and we waited for almost ten minutes until she showed her face. When she printed the bill, made an "are you stupid?" face as she was standing a bit further away from me and basically called me over like I was a dog. We still tipped her (15% instead of our usual of 22%) (my kids are extremely unhappy that I tipped at all) but we will never recommend this place to friends or family coming in from out of town. We visit Montreal quite a lot and frequent a lot of places but this is one that you can absolutely skip.
